Sounds like he had cardiac arrest and could not be resuscitated but it has not been officially announced.

The King (version2) is dead, again.

There wasn't enough evidence to convict him of child rape in a criminal court, but there sure as hell was enough of a preponderance to get him to pony up a big buck settlement before it went to civil court.

Assumption of guilt, despite being found innocent; can't you bickering housewives at least let the man die in peace? Parents would allow their children to stay at MJ's place despite the trial and rumors, and then sue him. Yeah, that doesn't sound fishy at all. MJ was weird for sure, but there was never any proof that he mistreated a child. Let the man die in peace.

He just had a heart attack, he is not dead.

RIP MJ, I grew up lsitening to him a lot.

The international media feeding frenzy taking place at UCLA (after the word got leaked that he had died ~3pm), less than a mile away from my office ( :furious ), has confirmed for a while now otherwise.  I'll try to get back to you guys if I make it home tonight.  It's a flippin madhouse out here this afternoon.

Kinda wierd though.... "they always pass in threes".  McMahon, Fawsett, and now Jackson in the last couple of days.

Bear, you misunderstand me, personally I *think* he's as guilty as hell - however, he leaves children behind, and like it or not, he had a major influence in a lot of peoples lives.

No, I'm not a MJ fan by any means, just to clear up any further confusion. I do however think its not required to be so harsh on someone who's just died.

ymmv

Its a shame that Ed McMahon and Farrah Fawcetts media coverage will be overshadowed by MJ.

I had to look up Ed McMahon in wikipedia, and Farrah was more or less known here mostly to people like me who are old enough to rember that ol tv show in the seventies.
Say what you will about his personality or music or lifestyle, but MJ was a truly global star for a dam long time.

I don't know how to feel on this. I am personally surprised. They say celebrities always die in 3's... I was waiting for the ball to drop on someone, but I never in a million years would have thought Jacko.

I didn't like him, but when I was a kid the first cassette tape I ever owned I got for Christmas 1982, I was 9 years old, it was Thriller and I still have it lol. I remember watching the Motown 25 thing live visiting my dad and the moonwalk blew everyone's mind.

When I think of him I think of ABC and the Thriller songs. He did do a lot in music, how much was him, and how much was Quincey Jones I don't know... but I will say you can't deny he was influential in many ways.

Yeah he became a freak, and with all the weirdness surrounding him it almost overshadows everything. I'll say thank you for the entertainment he provided, and all I can come up with is dude WTF? about the latter years.

I don't have time to read all the posts, but I have to wonder how many of us could go through what MJ went through growing up and come out normal.  He was subjected to abuse, pressure and stress way to young, ad to the the attention and adulation when way to young to keep a level head.  No wonder he was different.

I heard that the autopsy is not clear yet, but they have a cellphone conversation taped that apparenty went as follows....

MJ associate, "Hey MJ, I'm at target.  Did you want the Harry Potter wizard suit, or the Frodo suit?"

MJ, "That's just ignorant.  Of course I want both.  That's just ignorant.

Then in the background they have pulled the following over the Target PA....."Attention KMART shoppers.  There is a blue light special.  Boys pants and underware 1/2 off."

Then there was a chocking sound on the phone from MJ's side...

MJ associate, "MJ are you ok?"

MJ, "Don't let any of those boys leave the store!"

MJ then hung up the phone.

Now I'm watching the vigils on FOX CNN MSNBC and MTV-after they finished RealWorld.

The following are stolen jokes...you can't come up with a MJ joke that hasnt been told.  It's like trying to find someone that hasnt been related to Kevin Bacon.  But on this wonderful day I'd like to share some faves.

What are Michael Jackson's favorite sayings?
1) There's a sucker born every minute.
2) Kids do the darndest things.
3) Tricks are for kids.

Q: Have you heard about Michael Jackson's New Book?
A: It's called, "The In's and Out's of Child Rearing"

Q: What's the difference between Michael Jackson and a grocery bag?
A: One is white, made out of plastic, and dangerous for kids to play with and the other you carry your groceries in !!

Q: Why was Michael Jackson relieved of his Cub Scout Leader duties?
A: He was up to a pack a day.

Q: What's Michael's favorite Canadian TV show?
A: The Kids in the Hall

Q: What did the man on the beach say to Michael Jackson?
A: Get out of my sun!!

Q: When is it bed-time in MJ's house?
A: When the big hand touches the little hand!

^^ Is this guy ok?  You'd think I insulted his life's inspiration by celebrating MJ's ceasing to exist.   :rofl :uhoh

Maybe he's with NAMBLA.  Sure seems like it.

nah, he just has a sense of common decency.  It is still a good quality to have in this life.

No matter what he did in his private life, Michael was a great artist and this world is a poorer place without his talent.

I believe it is good to call out an adult that sleeps with children.  Maybe I'm Old Fashioned.

I heard that they were going to melt him down and turn him into toys, so kids could play with him for a change.

Whats brown and found in little boys pants?

his early years as a boy he was an incredible singer
fame and money led him in his young life to a place far removed from reality where the poor soul lived for the rest of his life
I always felt sorry for him
he had an amazing talent
just sad he found no guidance in his informative years or later in life
he sure got messed up....who`d want fame  ....no thank you

Please spare us.  Don't excuse people that are "far removed from reality."  I believe Dahmer fits that profile too.  I'm just observing, but the most effeminate of reporters seem to be drooling in the PC world we are living in.  The guy moonwalked over a childmolestation case.  Go burn thriller boy.

The only thing I truly appreciate is the band that knocked that kiddiepool invader out of the limelight...funny thing is he prolly would have jumped into the pool when this photo shoot was taking place

at least you're not being a hypocrite about it, Sirloin.......

and by no means am I standing up for MJ, but I only know what the news media has told me ( told us all )........ are we to use that as Hard fact, or should we use the same evidence or there lack of that said MJ was not guilty or the evidence that had the case dropped for which ever occurance?

and yes most multi-millionaires would end up paying off the greedy little familys trying to make a score against a popular person, because they assume they do not want their name scarred..........was even printed/reported that one of those cases against MJ, was infact a scandal to gain money, and the kid involved said he was never touched/abused like he initially claimed, if memory serves me right.......

I know I liked his music, and I also know that there is enough rumors that I would just not let my small kids go spend the night if they had a chance........but I know that there is not enough factual evidence or hard facts that would let me keep on driveling post after post about what I think of the individual , or show my ignorant arrogance in multiple threads at that..........

If anyone would like to be suspended from the bulletin board, all you have to do is make a religious based post.  The manangement will be only too happy to oblige you.

And what is it withe people who have no intention of adding anything positive to a thread posting in the thread anyway?  Allow me to clue you in.  Your opinion is not needed, wanted, nor cared for.  If you cannot make positive contribution to a thread, then stay out of it.

Why do I have to treat adults like they are 10 years old?  Oh, because many of them act that way.  Sheesh.
