Title: The Sims 3 Questions
Post by: Serenity on July 21, 2009, 12:47:13 AM
Hey, I just got The Sims 3, and I had a couple questions for anyone knowledgeable.

Firstly, can you marry other Sims that start off as AI? I have a... romantic relationship with my boss in the Air Force, but getting booty-calls every night isn't as useful as getting some of her paycheck to help around the house.

Secondly... I cannot for the life of me remember my second question... Ill post it later lol.

Um... Alright, I keep finding more questions and zero answers... does anyone know how I can find the help file for this game?

Serenity....you are a young lad full of promise. Leave the virtual lives to the old disgruntled ones, and get out and live it :)

Google it.

Did both, got nowhere. Figured it out through trial and error though, and it turns out, the problem was you cannot have a relationship with your boss at work.

I know, right? I figured the fastest way to the top was to shack up with my boss! While I made it to the top, I got her pregnant, couldn't marry her, tossed her aside, and when she got pissed at me she got fired while I got a raise and married another chick. I mean, in the long run, I won, but I feel kinda bad for it...

Doesn't answer your question but this is actually mildly entertaining:

Hmmm...maybe I was a little too hasty in my assessment...

Dude, it a freaking game. Why would you feel bad about it? And why are you not getting out in real life that you have to have a life in a game?

I played the original pretty hardcore for a month and got tired of it.  My wife (at the time gf) was obsessed with it.  I even bought her the Sims Online when that came out and boy was that a bust.  The Sims 2 couldn't/can't run on her 5 year old laptop.  And now with #3 out, I dare not get it for her for fear of me losing my PC :D

lol. It's a fun game, but it has a LOT of boring. I mean, I got to the highest rank in the Military track and it started feeling boring. Now that I have kids... it just sucks :(

I would have no idea. I played the original Sims for   bit, but I gave up when my people couldn't hold a job (a ballpark mascot. How the F&*@ can you mess THAT up?!) and burnt down the house when trying to cook.

lol. I haven't played any version for a LONG time, but this one seems much less... interesting. I mean,  the jobs are much less... varied. The Military Track starts with cleaning latrines, then serving the mess, then Grunt, then squad leader, flight officer, wingman, fighter pilot, Top Gun, then Astronaut.

Anyone know where to find a how-to file? I've googled it and gotten nowhere. I want to change the town I live in, but all thats there is Sunset Valley.

I played Sims 1 for a little while and the only fun I had was getting a bunch in a closet and put a barbque in there and watched em burn.

Definitely worth a watch, even if you don't play (or ever want to play) SIMS3!
