Pretty nice, guitar sounds a lot like ACDC. I do like the guitar in it.

I used an LTD les and an old...old Fender twin. Thank you.
-
Listening - liking "Whats wrong" a lot - singers voice reminds me of someone, but cant put a name to it as yet. Liking the guitar sound as well fella, nicely overdriven crunch, and good playing.
Wurzel
in I'm Here, very much reminds me of some old Nirvana - nice job
-
Sounds Like ACDC ? Not even close....Its a Mix of Metallica and U2....

Sounds really good!
Nice recording job.
Great song writing, reminds me somewhat of the Del Fuegos.
Nice mix between the clean and dirty stuff.
Good luck with the band!! :rock
-
Sounds like Hum, Sound Garden, Social Distortion and the Screaming Trees all mixed together.. Good stuff man.... :aok
Vocals are pretty good.... You sound a lot like Mark Lanegan from the Screaming Trees/Queens of the Stone Age or like a younger Tom Waits....(that's a good thing)
Very cool.... :rock
Rockin' out to "Your the one" right now...
-
wow ..........I dig it. really do.......
I'm partial to "What's wrong" because it reminds me of early Phil Lynott (Thin Lizzy)......Dig the guitar work and the bass line as well. the song has a good commercial feel.........I think it could chart if the tempo was kicked up and the chorus had vocal harmony.
good stuff pal.

Ren's Les?
-
Wow....don't know what to say....you fellas are too nice.
Thank you very much.
I have to say a word about our drummer Jeff Potts, who passed away too early, at age 31, 9 days after we finished recording. He was a great friend and a great musician...he was very excited about the project, and I wished he could be here to read these comments.
:salute to Jeff
Thank you again,
Mark

Ren's Les?
neg, he has an awesome woodgrained standard I'd love to have...this is real close to what I used on the album:

the only difference is on my guitar the cutaway is dull, not sharp like this one.

You are the only person I have ever met who knows the band Hum lol
I don't' get where you hear them though, maybe on "I'm here" a tiny bit in the first 20 seconds, but none of the other songs really ring up hum in my head. I do hear the Screaming Trees, a hint of Social D, but I also hear something I can't put a finger on... like The Cure, another band from that era a little heavier... I can't place it. is it the Smiths, The Cult... yeah it's The Cult, it's the vocal harmonies, and even the song pattern in "Coming Home".
Mark, good work, there's a lot of styles in there, I hear a lot of influences. Good luck with it, I hope it does well sir!

Yeah, those first couple measures of one of those songs reminded me a little of something off of You'd Prefer an Astronaut..
Dude, there's a lot of music I know that you probably know that no one else knows.... Gonna PM you some shtuff...

pretty damn cool, you got any ideas for a music video? I also has faint nirvana memories from listning to 'sieze me'

funny you should bring this up....I was actually going to ask the community(if the music was taken well) to maybe throw some ideas around if they had a good one. We have some basic concepts, but were looking for unique ways to tell the story w/o spending a bundle. :aok

I miss my emgs

OK here is my 2 cents. I listened to the first song, ALL - thought I was listening to Neil Diamond :) Sounded pretty good though. :)
Everything sounds good, some songs could use more lyrics, some sped up more, and some more 'tricky' transitions that lead the listening believe the song is ramping up and not stagnating would honestly make me purchase this. Right now I'd listen to it in my vehicle....another 10% and I think you have some future radio material. :) With the style of music you are playing, you either need to play faster and have more transitions when you switch tempo, or start branching out the lyrics from repeating to story telling.
The music is good though. Band is tight!
-
From another band member: Thumbs up! :aok
You guys have a pretty good sound. I really like the bass player's style (your brother?) it's very close to the way I play.
Bass players rule, anyway....the quicker you REGULAR guitar players realise this, the better off we will all be. :P

filming things falling over then putting them in reverse is pretty low cost and cool to watch.

pm me, I have a few ideas I want to shoot at you.

very nice! :aok

thank you folks for listening and giving feedback.....
I will be doing a live internet radio show this friday if you're interested....it's non-censored, so be careful to use headphones.....the Host, Dick Scary, will be playing some of the music and I guess interviewing me....if you can call it that....at any rate, here's the link...
Dick Scary returns to the internet airwaves Friday night from 5-7pm central time! http://lnk.ms/00Xfl with guest SkyRock!!
Thanks again,
Mark

Sounds like a guitar, bass, and drums to me. With a guy singing too. Lots of room for a keyboard in there.

do you play keyboard?

do you play keyboard?
I thought everyone played keyboard?
Understand my way of thinking: One finger pressing down one key = Orchestra/Symphony (more than one finger = Bonus Points) :rock

Sounds good SkyRock. :aok

thanks bud!

Hey Mark,
Congratulations on the Album!! The music is catchy and nicely done. Your band belongs to a label or are you privately financed?
Funny thing is I have 7 songs done and once have 10, I plan to get a band together and record our own CD. I'm actually going to have solos in them, lol.
Anyways, see you online.
-
Thanks raider, we financed the recording....$1200 including mastering. Pretty cheap! We also have an interested label or two we are talking to about things....don't know where it's going because we never intended to really do anything with it except book gigs. One of the people looking at it kinda freaked us out some possibilities...but I don't want to spoil it until it is in ink....if you know what I mean.
Thanks,
Mark :salute :rock

$1,200! Wow. Decent recordings too. :rock
