Ronald Reagan "Mr. Gorbatschow, tear down this wall!!"
Deckard8 "Come to sunny Stalingrad!"

i hate it when i'm in the arena, and see anything even remotely to do with politics. it's a thousand times worse when i hear it on vox.

i honestly wish there was some way to ban it in there, like they did in here.

I absolutely agree.   I play games to get a break from reality and I wish people who see everything through ideological lenses could take a break from it and realize that not everything hinges on politics.

Unless there's a human mod on to give warnings, the best you'll be ablel to do is call out the offender, or do a .report on him.

Agreed.  But, to break it down a teeny bit further, we're playing a game where some people are fiercely loyal to their respective "countries".

Go figure....

Just curious..

AH must have non human mods in game.

I told one individual that he's acting like he's just sitting at his computer in his mom's cellar.

I got a popup that said leave moms out of the discussion. lol stupid software.

multiple unwarranted attacks by ankle humpers. when it gets to the point of people for no good reason whatsoever putting crap up there. there's only been 2 or 3 so far, but they pushed it well beyond what would've landed em in the hospital, if they had said the same stuff in the same room.
a lot of times, it's not even what's said, but when and how it's said.

and ya...i do admit it. it's like i keep saying. the "me" you read in here, and the "me" you read in the arenas, or hear on vox, is the very same "me" that you would hear/see in real life. i don't put up a facade. i don't pretend to be an "intardnet toughguy" . i don't have time for that crap. i'm just me, and i come into the game to get away from the pressures and hassles of running my own shop, and to get away from the hassles of dealing with customers that think that they can name their own price(and then act all tough and indignant when i don't let them).

this game for me is a FRAKKIN blast. i love learning to maneuver my aircraft for the kill. i love shooting the poop with my online friends. there's plenty to talk about without politics comin up.

there's a LOT of great fun people in here, and i truly thing that THEY are the majority.

the bbs offers some good interesting conversations too.

Yeah... I'd doubt it.  I haven't logged more than 2 hours personally in the last three months.  And, my mic is fubar'd. If any of you intardnet sim-jockeys shoot down a player called copilate, don't feel too superior; chances are you just shot down my six year old son.  He plays almost every day.

I DON'T feel superior when i shoot down anyone or anything.

i lose, i have a little less. BUT.....i STILL had/have fun.  :aok

He can name practically any one by sight.  We we're watching an episode of Star Trek the other night "Shore Leave".  He pointed out to me that the plane they showed straffing was a Corsair and then when they cut back to it a few seconds later it had turned into a Zero...  I didn't even notice...

In any case... if either of us are offending any of you, just type .squelch copilate.  I do it often.  It's the perfect squeaker repellant.

politics and politicians are if anything, constant.
no matter what party, what country , what type of govermental rule, the one we can all count on is that they will tax us,cheat us ,and lie to us. :furious

At least in here we can count on OUR countrymen (sometimes)!  :rofl
I say leave it in the real world i have enough SH!$ in life to deal with without being reminded about it in the arenas.

Just leave the politics alone and let me wipeout random people and cities in the ma's

you ever seen any of the political discussions here? before they got banned? or over at flamewarriors?

i agree fully with waystin....i NEVER talk about either with customers, and very rarely with friends.

i'll sometimes talk about sports, but i'm fairly careful with that too, as phillys and eagles fans are almost as fanatical as to be scary....so i'll kinda pretty much agree with most of what they say to avoid an argument.

an old boss actually lost a VERY good customer.....because they got into a HUGE political debate, and the guy never came back. he was one of those guys that whatever you told him his car needed, he ALWAYS did the work too...and had spent thousands with us.

what's been your experience in them when you get shot? i've only ever fought one, and it was at around 16k with me in a zeek. i got a quick snapshot on him from about 400 or 500 yards, and his tail just came apart.
if it were any other plane i shot with from that distance, i wouldn't think anything of it....but a zeek? it almost makes me want to think that the i-16 has a glass tail.

Musta been a lucky shot. I think Iv'e lost the tail in one once or twice. I have turned with a couple Zekes in it. I'm not sure which one is a better turner yet.

because i have a tendency to take very light internal loads of fuel. i do the same in my p38 o doom. i keep the tanks till i absolutely NEED to get rid of em.

i also tend to fly pretty far to the fights too.......before the fight with the brew, i mentioned, it looked like the rooks and bish were fighting each other pretty far south....so i flew 2.5 sectors to get to that fight.

The other night I was taking two 1000 pounders to a target and got jumped by a spixteen. While turning with him a zeek and a 109 jumped in on me too. I was able to kill all three fairly quickly. Then I noticed I still had my bombs.

I thought it was just me during the fight as the 38 felt mushy.  :D
