Here's the film BPARKER. As you can see, I was simply entering the fight level at 11K (which is actually not very "smart" on my part, considering the number of reds in the area...). You were very close to my altitude on the fight you question. Look at the text to verify that this is the film you're asking for...
Do you see the 5K dive in that you reference? Maybe the fight would have gone better for me if I had? Maybe we should look and try to find what really allowed me to get a shot on you, rather than blame something that isn't really accurate? As you can hear from vox, I wasn't even really all that committed to you; I thought I was going to need to deal with the F6F first.
If you'd like me to remove these films, just say so. I wouldn't normally post films like this. Feels pretty silly...

This film is of our previous fight. In this fight although we're nearly co-alt again, you may note I'm slower than you this time. Basically a reverse of the situation in the other film. Might even seem "fair" eh?

I've never really cared for mediafire myself, just been too lazy to look for a better option. Thanks for the recommendation! I'll give it a try...

He's a snippy little bastage ain't he! Attempts a HO then whines like a little shiela. Shoulda taken the wager Mountain. What amazes me is that you can type and fly like that at the same time. :salute

Just pure and simple Lies from Bparker. It happens alot in the MA and is only because the person who just died seems to think it saves face to lie about it, as if anybody actualy cares.
I get this kind of treatment often from some skilless moron....but it's funny....then never seem to want to go to the DA and try it 1 on 1 after I offer. Obviously because the DA is for 'tards and loosers'.
-
I would not even give him the time, he's just another typical tard that thinks he is the best :aok

Yup +1. It's all fun though when you can own them with words over 200 :)
-
HO's don't like when they miss before the merge cause then they have to resort to a plan B which for them is run or die.
-
I believe he also flies under the name Kostic. In any event, last time I faced BParker he came diving down on me from altitude, so I turned into his attack and looped over as he dove past on his merge. He was too fast on the merge, lost his altitude and saw me coming around on his six diving after him and he bailed out and started to call me a "spick".
Took him to the DA a couple of months ago after he started to whine and beat him in there pretty good and he started with the spick comments afterwards. And the lies...boy, he does tell some whoppers.
ack-ack

Regarding the first film, the proper salute on 200 is: "HO DENIED! Bparker is in the tower"

Hey look, the "picker gallery" is here.
-
Funny BParker should come up. First time flying in a couple weeks and I get HO'd by BParker last night. Then, a few minutes later he picks me while I'm engaged with a Hurri. Not much respect from me.
Oh well, same old MA. I just logged off. Maybe I'll try again in a couple more weeks.

Everybody picks, including you. Some people vulch others on landing.. like you do... but not me.
I picked you yesterday and I liked it, but I don't like you. :aok

And you're in this thread why then?
Yes you picked me yesterday. And I decided to run film after, in case you decided to run your mouth to me again, about me only flying in the horde.
It's a lovely scene that's very representing of all the skill you could ever muster. :aok

I'm in this thread because I choose to be. It's on a public forum.
I could care less if you run film every second of your game play. I did have something to say about it, by the way:I laughed on squad that I just killed you because it was sure to result in a whine from you.
You didn't disappoint. A kill and a whine.. it's like double coupons. We all had a good laugh at your expense, just like now.

It was no whine, a simple "you're sad."
When are you going to stop accepting DA then never showing by the way? Have a nice set of films of those too :aok

dupe sorry.

That's the point Stephen, you said, "DA?" I responded, "Yes, let's go!" You never went.
On quite a few other occasions, you've said, "see ya there," after me asking you to DA. You never showed.
I believe, "you guys are lame" was quite an accurate statement for that particular situation, don't you? 2v1 is one thing, 3v1 is another, 4v1 is quite another, start moving up to the 10v1 and 15v1, yes, that's lame.

I don't remember asking you to the DA. In fact, I'm pretty sure I didn't but I guess it's possible. The last two times I went to the DA with someone I spanked them, then they promptly returned to the MA and claimed victory. The times I've lost, I came back and reported honestly. Add this to the fact that I'm not all that interested in rubbing anyone's nose in it if I do win, makes going to the DA kind of pointless, unless it was just for fun. And since I find the MA more fun than the DA usually, I'm not all that inclined to go.

Edit: The above quote is pure unaldulterated Bullpoo.

Everyone gets HOED, picked, shot down, run from, runs to ack, runs to help, does something impossible, flys to high, flys to low, stick stirs, (add whine here). Best thing to do is say nothing at all. Honestly whines on 200 or on here make you look like a moron...and a cry baby. I have whined on 200 at one time and for the most part I have stopped for the mentioned reasons. It's part of the game! If you get shot down its one of 2 reasons or maybe both.
#1 you did something wrong/stupid
#2 the guy that shot you down did something right/smart
DuHasst
PS Mntman > Bparker anyday and I didn't watch the films
-
I'm a mouth Stephen, but I never back away from DA. You're a mouth that always turns it down. Ask anyone I ever DA, and you'll know I never trash talk in there. If I win, I never brag about it to anyone. If I lose, then I try to learn from it.
So stop trash talking me, or DA me.
Edit: The above quote is pure unaldulterated Bullpoo.
One night after accepting a DA offer, you simply signed off after your sortie instead of coming to DA like you claimed you would. The next time, you said you would, but your kids needed you instead, which I respected. The other times, you say something in the realm of "fight me here, not in DA."
Want to shut me up? DA me :neener:

:
I'll trash talk you all I want, if the mood strikes me. I don't remember trash talking you much anyway, except in response to your death whines. Heck, I didn't say a word to you on 200 after you cried last night. When I whine, I get smacked... everyone should expect the same.
Want to shut me up?
Uhh, I could care less whether you shut up or not. I'm done with you. If you have plenty of films as you claim(which I find suspect since I don't remember DA'ing you), you should have no need to DA me further. If you don't have films: I know it's important to you so tell everyone we DA'd and you owned me. I'll even support your claim. It's just not that important to me.
-
Looks like a case of one pile-it not yanking the E out of his hog. Very smooth handling Mtnman. I need to do that more often when I fly Hogs.
-
You're still missing the point, you challenge me to DA, then other times you accept a DA, yet...you never show. You like everyone to see you challenging a DA, or accepting a DA, then you make up an excuse, or just sign off.
You must be horrible at poker, you bluff every hand, and never back it up.

I picked you yesterday and I liked it ...

Sorry. Felt the thread needed a little levity.

He does, I got a good story actually about him. I went to the DA with all of WoT hoping to fight Shawk(never happened) , nobody else was talking crap besides him so I let him pick plane/field/and merge alt. He was a rather easy fight and I didnt hear a word from him afterwards. The rest of that sqaud is a good bunch though.
MtnMan AWESOME flying in that first film even if you were getting HOed and ganged (and not whining about it theres the difference)

Actually it sounds about right. Kostic/BPARKER is an easy kill and talks a lot until he's killed.
Love you warhed :D

Was you not there when I embarrassed him in the DA with the whole WoT group back when I was in WoT? SHawk might remember...I'm not sure. That was back before Auto-film.

That's what keeps things interesting!
I just expect to be shot at every time the other guy can get his guns on me. I don't see HOing as a bad thing, just something to keep track of for future reference. The guys who pass up those shots on me are the ones I worry about.
Even a "reasonable" amount of ganging is ok by me too. I find 2-opponent fights to be quite enjoyable at times. In the part of the fight where I died in that film I easily could have just extended out of it, rather than turning back like I did. Or I could have extended out a bit to give me enough time to deal with the spit by himself. For that matter had I chosen to kill the spit first (before I shot at the F6), I might have been ready by the time the F6 realized what was going on under his nose and could dive in. Or, had I held the trigger on the F6 for just a tad longer before I worried about the spit... Who knows? Might have to give it another try...
Also, in regards to ganging, I have no idea what skill level/flight goals those pilots have. They may just want to land kills that they have trouble getting. They may just want to eliminate a threat to the base- capture they're working on. A 1v1 fight may not be something they're at all interested in. That's ok with me. If they keep having fun, they'll be back for more...
Those are the aspects/possibilities/differences that make/keep the MA fun for me.

Uh, Steve? I personally witnessed a Ki-84 being chased by two attempting to vulch one of my countrymen on the runway. Which you will recall, you didn't succeed in. While hearing from that individual who re-upped stating "That was close", I continued the chase until the said Ki-84 made pinpoint manuevers and completed a good kill on me. C'mon man!! :aok

What he means Steve is he was so intent upon the Ki84 that when you killed him he didnt realize there was a pony even there. :aok

MtnMan credibility should not be questioned. He is pretty honorable. It is fun to fly with him and Saber! :salute

So what you're referring to, is that he was the little pony that I was well aware of diving from my high six and didn't go vertical for that very reason and stole the kill from the Ki. I will say he did apologize to me. For what reason I'm not too sure. Maybe he knows now and he can tell you. :aok

The only time I apologized to you was for picking you. Everybody picks. It had nothing to do with vulching people on landing.
I apologized because you were owning a guy 1v1 and were about to kill him but I intervened. The guy asked for(and needed from a team aspect) help. I don't like having my 1v1's broken up so I felt bad about being a hypocrite. Thus, the apology.

BParker is Kostic? Well, that explains a lot.

Just pure and simple Lies from Bparker.
Mr. Parker and I have not always seen eye to eye but, in his defense, he is actually a decent stick when he wants to be.

I kinda like Bparker. He gets mad and says stupid stuff now and then but so do I.. I'm flawed that way. It's one of my many human failings.
The HO's have to go Bparker!

I honestly had thought the Ki-84 executed a perfect snapshot on me and the Pony had not closed the gap that quick. With that being said, I apologize for assuming you were the Ki-84. Yes, I know you pretty much strap in one plane exclusively. But that is why I didn't know what the apology was for. As far as helping the guy, I don't blame you one bit. You should be there if someone needs it. I would've proudly did the same.

Well, you gotta realize that I myself have no problems with him either. (Un?)Fortunately, I really don't have any issues with hardly anyone... I only posted this topic because he told me to, and even gave me a 1 hour deadline...
I was busy fighting while we were typing back and forth on 200, and couldn't really manage to give long responses... I have enough trouble simply flying straight and level, add "fancy" flying and typing, and I'm pretty well maxed out. When I typed "Film?" I was actually offering to email it to him, not post it in public. Although, I don't think he knew that...
From my perspective, both of those fights were pretty low-key, low-stress, done-and-over deals. I was not "worked up" in the least. I wouldn't have complained or had anything negative to say on 200. Had the situation been reversed, and had he shot me, that would still be the case.
I didn't, and don't, have any problems with any aspects of those fights, including the "HO" thing. My opponents are welcome to fire on me any time at all. I actually want them to do so. If they can send me to the tower with something as simple as an HO, I need to work on my technique... Personally, I consider the HO to be a valid technique. Simple, yes. Glamorous, no. IMO, any fight that can be ended with a simple HO is a sham, and shouldn't be allowed to continue.
_____________________________ _____________________________ _________
Here's how I look at HO's, in an analogy- I'm playing chess with a friend. Very quickly in the game, I have the option to win through a "check-mate", but decide to be a "gentleman" and let the "fight" continue. Now, say he wins in the long haul- is his win "valid"? IMO, no. He "lost" early on, and I just allowed him to continue... His "win" is false. Simply avoiding the shot he gives me may be the one thing that puts me out of position to win later on. Now, if I end up winning in the long haul, I've actually won the same fight twice... If he says "Man, that was an awesome fight!", in the back of my mind I consider that fight to be "tainted", "false", "manufactured", etc, and by complimenting the fight in a sense I'm lying...
In that sense, if a fight can be ended in an HO, I don't want to waste my time allowing it to continue. If you can kill me with a simple HO, do it. Send me to the tower, so I can stew on it and correct the problem next time.
By announcing the HO tactic on vox, I'm not belittling the pilot who uses it. I'm warning others that the pilot is willing to use it, so you'd better be careful. Consider it a "Check 12".
For a pilot to whine about another pilot using the HO is nuts to me. As an inexperienced player, realistically, a 50/50 shot may be the best opportunity you have to fly away the "winner". Look at those two films; the HO was his best and only opportunity. Take it away from him, and he zero hope to win. Sure, I might have screwed up; I do that all the time. But then he isn't taking an active roll in beating me, so much as just surviving long enough to land a hit if I mess up.
Now, I'm not advocating we make an effort to teach HOing, etc. Fortunately, we don't need to do that. The HO is practically instinctual. Point your plane at the bad guy, and shoot! If that fails, pull hard on the stick and try to turn around as quickly as you can for another try! I consider TnB fighting and HOing to be about as basic as fighting can get. Anything beyond that requires more knowledge, skill, and thought.
And, the beauty of the HO is that it's self-limiting. You'll never do much better than a 1/1 K/D with it, if you can even manage that long term. In order to improve, you need to step away from it, and learn more "stuff". Think about it, would you or I be happy with a statistical 50/50 chance in a fight? No! The very act of holding fire on the HO, and maneuvering into a "safer" shot proves that. But, early success with a few kills is what keeps folks interested and keeps them from getting frustrated and leaving. If they need the HO for that, I say let 'em have it. If they never progress beyond that, that's fine too. 'Course, they'd better expect to have their scalps dangling from my lodge pole more often than not, if that's the case.
Personally, I seldom HO (yes, I do it on occasion). Not because I don't consider it valid. Because it's (a 50/50 shot) not good enough for me. I'm greedy. I want the kill with no damage to myself. I'm also somewhat conceited, and always think I'm going to win, lol! I'm often wrong, but it never really sinks in.
From a "glory" cowardly/bravery POV, I look at "good" aerial fighting to be rather cowardly. We are, after all, doing our best to stab our opponent in the back, from a position where he's helpless to inflict any damage upon us... "Real men" square off face-to-face, don't they? Could you imagine the laughs if two boxers pranced around trying to punch each other in the back!
Ganging? If the guy I'm fighting can't beat me 1v1, isn't it "fair" if he has a friend to help?
-
