Title: My $14.00 vs your $14.00
Post by: Panzerace on January 05, 2010, 03:36:09 AM
I respect all who play this game.  I very much enjoy playing this game and have played on and off since it was Air Warrior and there are a really great bunch of people here.  I will respect someone who asked for a field, hangar,cv or whatever it may be not to be bombed or destroyed.  What I do not like is when I am bashed by someone because I flew from a cv that he believes is his and me taking off did not fit his unannounced plan.  Please dont make rude comments to me because I upped in a GV hangar that was camped and you would have killed the camper if I did not up.  I play for fun.  I do not care about how many points I have but do understand that some do.  I pay my montly fee the same as you do am I am entitled to play when and where I want. Yes indeed I will wait to attack something of I am asked.  But dont come on the radio like a winny bellybutton punk and tell me i f-ed up your plan.  Some people take this game was to serious and need a bit of a reality check. You people know who you are.  Grow up. Just my 2 cents worth.

Since you took off early, it gave the airfield advance notice! Now, I won't be able to take the base with my LVT, win the war, win the girl, have babies, and live happily ever after.    :furious

Jokes aside, play the game anyway you want. Ignore the the rabble within AH...   :airplane:

Because of what you did the Knights lost the war.  I hope you can live with yourself for being the single reason why Knightlandia was invaded and brutalized by the barbarian hord.  If I had my way, I'd have you arrested for high treason and executed because it was 'too convenient' for you to take off right at that moment in time when the fleet was in clear view of the enemy coast spotters.  Did you also signal your compatriot on shore to alert him that you were about to take off?  It's because of guys like you that we'll never win the war and I'll never get a chick.

My $15 trumps anyones $15 as far as I'm concerned. Just because it's me! :rofl If someone wants to run a mission from a cv and they announce it I either join the mission or stay away. There is other action to be had. If someone beats me to a kill I don't care. I'm just glad they are there helping.

It should be obvious by now that winning the war is EVERYTHING! Well almost..... being "ranked" very low is also a MUST. It is impossible to have any fun without doing these two things.

There is nothing I like better then getting together with my friends and showing them film of our beloved rook country winning the war and getting those perkies. I print out my score sheet and tape it to my back when I go out. It can be a pain though because you have to stop and sign all those autographs and take all those pictures with those HOT girls.

Ahhh the life of a pilit :frown:

I typically ask if anyone is sneaking in with the CV before upping and giving away its location (provided peeps aren't already upping).  Just a team courtesy.

There's a very simple solution that keeps this atrocity from ever happening again.

HTC writes a itty-bitty coad that creates a blue CV icon when an Uber-Admiral assumes CV command. Upon his, and only HIS discretion, he types .readysetgo into the text buffer, which changes the icon from blue to green. You are now free to lift from the CV.

Pretty smart. eh?

Well it is a pain when guys start upping off the CV because the are to lazy to fly a half a sector from a land base just to start a furball before the CV fires the first 8" shell at the base being attacked. Then you pull up that field on the clip board and see all the ords are not only still up at that base but the next closest enemy bases. Then five minutes latter the CV is sunk and everyone is surprised. When you up off the CV before the ships guns has had an effect on the town and all ords are down. All you are doing is giving it away. The same goes when a base is under attack from another land base. Everyone asked for uppers to hold that base. But all ords VH and troops are still up at the attacking base.

Here is a clue to saving your base PORK TROOPS AND ORDS at the enemy base, attack over base saved. One guy in a heavy P-51D can pork all ords at a larger base and fly home I do it all the time. Yes they can re-supply it but then go pork it again. If they are driving M-3 to re-supply all day they ain't attacking you. I am sure guys are rolling their eyes at this information because it sounds simple only because it is. Give it a try some time I think you will be pleased with the results.

I don't really think so. This would increase the screaming twentyfold - I can think of 5 different ways instantly for said Uber-Admiral to abuse his power, including some pretty nifty ways of gaming the game.   All of which would mean that itty-bitty coad would have to be a bit bigger than itty-bitty.

How DARE you mock whoever the Knight Land Reichsfuhrer happened to be.  Folks, it is obvious the OP forgot "T3H WIN T3H WOR MANUOL".    This, is  unacceptable and will result in punitive damages consisting of further mocking them and just play the game to have fun.   If some Reichsfuhrer starts spewing forth his drivel, squelch him like Red said.

LOL...Have you ever considered that what your bring up as your point is that its the way another person or persons likes to play. They spent their money just as you have. Keep in mind its a community and by very definition its made up of all kinds of personalities and motivations in playing Aces High. Please don't infer that your way is better than another s. For me, as an example, the game consists of ACM, SA, Comradery, and CH 200. I love getting people I am fighting riled up. I believe it makes a better fight. There are people that Hated me to the core on 200 and for the few that have come on squad channel and joined the squad realize Im not what is seen on 200. Part of the game as far as im concerned.

Key word is play.  I am not inferring that my way is better.  I am inferring that I can use any field or CV that I damn well please when I want.  As I said before, I will respect someones wishes if they ask me not to up at a certain field or destroy a vh.  My point is that quit your crying if I happen to up on a cv that your precious country of make believe is about to save all man kind with unless someone like me ruins it and lets the all evil enemy see that a 870 foot long 35 ton ship is 2 miles off their coast and would have never been spotted if it wasnt for me.  If I wanted to hear worthless chatter I would go upstairs and talk to my wife.

Player 1 : GODD****** why the F hasn't the VH been killed? You F'in Knights!!!! WHat's so hard about killing the ****** VH ? (All this done while flying around light furballing for the previous 30 minutes or so)

Player 2 : F'in knights only want to furball.....Someone needs to kill the ords now...we neeed the ords dead. VH Dead!!!!! Kill the ords...you guys stop screwin around...help out here!!! (This as the CV is being pummeled by the SB and bombers from a base back)

Player 1 : GOD****** WTF!!!! You F'in sorry a****s!!!...Why didn't anyine tell me that KI was there....everytime I F'in help someone no one calls my 6!!! You guys Suck...Kill the damn GV's for christs sakes. All the F'ers wanna do is furball. (same guy furballin for a half hour)

Player 2 : VH DEAD...kill the town...now...we need troops...I'm workin the town...kill those Vehicles at the base....get ords in here now...on and on and on...

This type of stuff happens everyday...and the best way to enjoy YOUR MONEY!!!! Is the greatest option in the game .....Squelch

Having played for all sides fairly equally, I can say they are all the same EXCEPT:  Generals. The nits most definitely have the most vocal Generals. Sad thing is, most of the Generals are noobs who really haven't the first clue about anything beyond toolshedding.

maybe in lw, but i fly mostly mw. i've been switching to low numbers for a month or 2 now......and by far, the knights have more tendency to horde there, then either rooks or bish.

I honestly do not know what the stigma is with fighting somewhere other than on the deck.  I have had some great tangles lately by climbing to 20k or more.  It's a whole new ball game up there.  I suppose the derision comes from those that pick and return to the heavens.  Well they ain't picking if you go up and challenge em! :aok

that's why i went up there. it seemed to me, that no matter where i furballed, these people were up there, and it seemed that i was always on the recieving end of their guns. so i went higher than they were, kept in constant communication with friendlies in the area, that kept me updated on the location, and alt of the red aircraft, and set em up. they dint like it.  :devil

and yes, i've had some great fights up there.....but fighting down low is faster into the fight, which i prefer.

No stigma.  Just time to the fight and avoids the HO, miss, split-s and disappear

Absolutely. Even if I don't kill them, it's funny to watch them run away. I have one advatage in the 51 over you in the 38 in a furball though. It seems like everyone will go after the big 38 before they try to pick a pony.

YESSIR! you are right on that.

i think there's 2 reasons.......there's those of us that suck in it,....making us easy targets....and there's those that are good in it, making them dangerous....there doesn't seem to be an in-between in the 38.

Oh I don't know about that. So far this month I've seen so many LW types that can't hack it in any arena. Not sure if it is new christmas toys causing the skiddish behavior or just some no-names trying to look like they may be good.  Saw one the other night land 7 kills.... probably got a WTG from his side.... yet he never fought anyone. He was so scared he sacrificed his own wingmen to get away. He was in a P47M. We had a good laugh at him.

Pick a pony?  You are lucky if you even see them coming.  The only thing that gives them up is the sonic boom  :rofl
