How in the hell are you turning the 110 like you do. I would love to get with you and learn that is some crazy stuff. If anybody ever has a chance to fight Dr. Bone have fun he figured out a way to turn his planes like a mad man. I use trim+flaps when I turn but his turning has to be diff then mine. <S> Bone let me know if you are willing to teach me.

DrBone and Krupnski should duel in 110's if they haven't already...I watched Krup beat a known Zeke driver 1 v 1 about 8 times consecutively IN THE DA CANYON with the rules being you cannot go above the rim....truly amazing.

I'm sure Krupinski is an 'experten' stick but if a 'known Zeke driver' gets himself killed in a 1v1 turn fight with a Bf110 then the Zeke driver might have been 'known' but wasn't good. In short, if it was a turn fight, Krupinksi's victory had more to do with the fact the other guy had no clue on how to fight.

I have to agree with AKAK nobody who knows what they are doing in a fighter should die in a 1vs1 turn fight while in a zeke.

My virtual money is on Krupnski. Pick the A6 pilot. It would be a fun fight to watch anyway! :aok

<hangs his head in shame but...... just for the record.
Krup in I were dualing in the DA a while back. He in a 110 and me in spit9.
LOL he won every one of them. Krup is a great stick in my book.
couple of things though if you get even a snapshot in the 110 the other guys done. and the 110 will im pretty sure initially out turn a spit but only for one or two turns.
Oh + i suck.

Dont mess with trim. Focus on the fight.
What is a 110 anyway? Do we have them?

Oh silly me thought this was another complaint thread ;) S! Dr. Bone

He in a 110 and me in spit9.
You should have taken the zeke!

I will fly that a6m or spit9 vs krup in his 110.

If you lost in a Spitfire Mk IX to a Bf 110G then that means you didn't fly it very well. Honestly, the Spitfire dominates the Bf 110 in all aspects and like the guy in the Zeke, screwed the pooch that let the Bf 110 kill you.

-
I thought it wasn't about the plane but it was the pilot.
It is and increasingly more so as plane performances become close to equal. When you talk about planes with such performance disparities however, it becomes more about the plane. Unless the pahlot is particularly ubah.
-
I thought it wasn't about the plane but it was the pilot.
That is what AKAK just said. The spit/zeke pilot was beat by a better pilot. The better pilot had the lesser plane.
A great plane is or will be just a pile of junk in the lesser pilots hands. A fast/quick horse can't get it's stride if the jokey is pullin' the reins.
Does not mean the lesser pilot won't win sometimes. Just makes it less likely.
-
Ive never run into either of these fellas before but another guy worth honorable mention (at least in my opinon) is dastardly. He sure can whip the 110 around as well.

I've fought DrBone several times, always fun! Though I've never seen him in a 110.. :noid

Both pilots of equal skill in a dueling situation, the Spitfire Mk IX would dominate the fight.

Im sorry Changeup, but Ack-Ack's right...you put someone like Bruv or Sakata in a Zeke, I'd like to see a 110 outfly either of them...and Im sure there are better Zeke drivers out there than those 2, but not many.

Krups an outstanding stick in anything but from an even start with a hard ceiling and not a lot off vertical the only way the zeke loses is to a FQ shot early on...

Very true, not going to mention any names but the guy I was fighting.. well.. he sucked. It doesn't matter how long you fly a plane, if you suck you suck! lol
-
I think the flip side is that your in a very select group of pilots who are exceptional in just about anything you fly and recognized as such. So when a guy who can play Mozart meet's a dude with a harmonica its tough sledding regardless. So if the zeke driver isn't fundamentally sound his relative level of suckage doesn't matter. Once he meets that minimum skill level (which is actually pretty high) then the equation swings to an almost unwinnable match up for you beyond an aggressive play for an early ending...

When I flew the 110 every day for a while in Mid war I learned that "Trick" turn. It takes a lot of practice & will put you in a stall very easily. Guys would cry about "There's No way the real 110 could out fly a fighter in WWII", but then again, if you take a somewhat experienced stick in a 110 against a somewhat newby in a Spit, the 110 can win most of the time, even though the spit is user friendly and turns fairly tight at the average dog fighting E's. I love the 110, but get bored and have to learn a new one once in a while, probably before I'm anywhere near an ace.... :aok We had a guy in Mid war that flew an A20 like that. Really cool to watch. :salute

hey W7.first off i just read your other post and welcome to aces high. there are plenty of people out there that are more than willing to lend a hand to new players. there is also the official trainer corps here as well. stumble into the training arena from time to time and you will see some trainers for sure.
(please dont take what im about to say personally trainers) but i definately reccomend ghosth or morfiend for a newer player anxious to get their feet wet. i believe you would be hard pressed to find anyone as kind and generous than them.
you mentioned in your other thread about a guy that flies an A20 with great success, i believe you have met cobia. :) amazing stick and a class act as well. last but certainly not least is humble. he flies the A20 With a great deal of success, but take my word for it he is equally deadly in any plane. :)
If you get a chance look him up when you are online see if he is availible for some winging. the guy is a virtual treasure chest of ACM and the few times ive had the pleasure of flying with him and his squad i had a blast and learned a good deal as well.
I really hope you look those guys up sometime soon, as im sure you will have a blast with them as well. All that being said, welcome to aces high..your newest addiction. :)

To be noted. It's the C model Krupnski flies and not the G model. Not really sure if this affects the fight much. I wholeheartedly agree with you guys on the hypothetical winner with all things being equal.
-
I thought it wasn't about the plane but it was the pilot.
I think they have backed up this...if the pilot of the zeke knew how to fly it, he wouldn't have lost to a 110. I know Krup is on top of his game and all, but a zeke...should whip a 110 everytime. :aok

What makes this especially telling is that Dr. Bone has no hands and is only able to fly with his feet on a specially modified joystick. His computer is an Atari 1000 with a monochrome monitor that has a bad tube. He can only see out of his left eye since that industrial knitting accident and he is considering changing his call sign to "Lucky".
Seriously WTG DR. BONE. Big Salute from EZRHINO

Hlbly when are we gonna wing up man. We haven't done that in a long time <S>. DrBone yesterday was the first day I been on in about 2-3 weeks. Hopefully I will have more time and can go to the DA with you soon <S> good flying.
-
If he is flying the 110c it is greatly different than if he is flying the G. With the lighter gun package and light fuel the 110c turns very well. Maybe not a6m2 well but ~spit I well once flaps are out. The Unforgiven trained 110c vs spit I a few months back for FSO and the 110 more than held its own. This training was done at 15k so that might be what caused them to be close in performance.

That's incorrect Waystin, when I do fly a 110 I'm usually in a G. Flying a C against planes such as a F4U/Yak/Spit is sure suicide with its poor climb rate.
The 110G2 doesn't have the best climb rate either but it's much easier to hold it up and flip it around quick with the extra torque. Also, the quad 20mms and dual 30mms make for an easy snapshot given the chance. :D

I stand corrected Krup! You are no longer UBER since you are using the G model! :neener:

As do I. One year flying (this month) and not much time in the 110 and a poor choice of early-training heros I suppose.

Sure he does, but not regularly. I have not seen a better stick in the A20. Probably plays with Rt/Lt throttles to get that turn. It fly's a lot different than the 110 G2. The 110 has a funny, near stall, sudden, but recoverable, spin turn, that freaks people out the first time they see, it or do it accidentally. :D I did fly it for quite a while in MW & really had fun learning it. You can really surprise a light & tight fighter when you out-turn them and shoot 'em down. probably because it it difficult to fly well.

110 with 1 can o fuel and drops.....
get to the fight, drop the tanks and get ta fighten.
less fuel n less guns = great turnin bird.
just manage yer fuel n E and its all good.
