I've just been lazing/gazing at a couple of threads in here and it occurred to me that you could successfully combine some of them into something feasible or at least an interesting topic:
The He111 - H22 might be a qualifying perk bomber, though requiring more than average work to achieve it. Its load-out of an air-launched Fieseler Fi 103A-1 should keep the crowd amused for weeks, nay many months.

It's the actual launch sequence problem that I am struggling with. The range counter could be set by a map click similar to land mode in ships guns. That would give the range and start the engine (throaty noise). Direction would be say pointing the nose with a few degrees of the target? Altitude for launch I guess is up to about 10k with a minimum launch speed requirement at lower levels. Push the B button and off it goes. This would have to be quite soon after counter setting. I am guessing a stall speed of about 150 mph for the weapon? Travel to target perhaps at 4-6k at about 400mph. Range scaled at the same rate for other AH types means an attack on HQ for instance should still require you to get within a sector or so.
A flying weapon carrying nearly 2000lb of Amatol would of course be risky to shoot at. Better to dive in and gently try to topple it? Collision model need modifying for this? (More work).
Of course the team might just throw in the H-4/H-5 for the BoB-bits (cutting off the big beautiful Ju88) and the H-16 for a definitive version. You could even introduce ratos for the latter model as a perk load-out (when that happens).
I haven't been able to work a Beaufighter or B-29 into this thread yet but it's not too late.

Your ability to weave random things togeather never ceases to amaze me, I'm sure given a few more minutes you can work in the Beau and the B29. I'm also sure you could weave in the Boomerang as well.

:rofl
Perk the B29!!!

Unperk the CHOG

The issue of perks on the F4U1-C is so irrelevant and so off topic that I wonder if that the moderator might see fit to remove some posts.
Back on track:
The issue of "toppling" an in-flight Fi-103 might be dealt with by making an easy break-away piece on the outer wing. Again I'm not sure how this would work within the physics of the game. At least there is unlikely to be a whole raft of posts in the "Wish List" from the V1s claiming they were rammed "but the other guy didn't go down".
The way I'm seeing the future, it is that a guy breaks off combat with a mid-level B-29 and dives his now empty gunned Beaufighter back toward his field at high speed. He spots a group of V1s inbound and manages to get close to and topple one or two before running out of energy. On landing, he would discover that he had earned the paltry few perks required to re-plane in an F4U1-C but more likely he would up again in the more heavily armed Beaufighter to pursue the group of He111s that he knows he can backtrack along the path of the inbound cruise missiles.

A few excerpts grabbed from the web:
He 111H-22
The H-22 was another specialised variant of the He 111, designed to air-launch the V-1 flying bomb (Fieseler Fi 103A-1). After tests in the winter of 1943-4 this duty was given to KG 53, who launched around 1,200 flying bombs from the autumn of 1944. Of these perhaps 210 reached Britain, while KG 53 lost eight aircraft to British defences, whose main problem was slowing down enough to hit the heavily laden He 111s before they could release the flying bomb.
Here's an interesting story about one used for an escape:

You mean the same exact thing the N1K2 is, only substituting japanese cannons in for the hispanos?

Yea cuz the ballistics of the cannon on the N1k2 are just like hizookas.
-
Nope, but there not terrible, or even too bad. It does the same thing the c-hog does, only it makes up in manuverability what it lacks in speed.
-
Unperk the chog and you will not see another type of attack AC. The Chog was perked just for that reason.
-
I'm not saying unperk it, all I'm saying is that its not as uber a fighter as the post makes it out to be. He makes it sound like a flying wirb.

Great find.
Apparently the moderators (as such exist) don't consider completely thread wrecking off topic posts a problem anymore so it's probably not worth putting any further effort in here. Come to think of it, I've reached that opinion about HTC in the past. Thanks for your effort.
