WOW Steve, you realy are padding that score.........
seriously..you up to defend against an "epic raid" and get accused of padding score....... some people are just full with envy........ got to have an excuse when they get waxed instead of just owning up to being ............ how do ya'll say it????? PWNED>........

*popcorn.gif*

The fact the word "epic" gets used in a cartoon airplane game is the real humor. :lol
-
..and for the record, we switch to the country with less numbers generally for better fights and to pad perks if we're padding anything at all. Which is nothing new since we've been doing it since eny came out. Before that we were a rook squad which was historically outnumbered all but 1 day a week.
Regards,
T3eDuB!!!
-
Steve is a great pilot. Regardless if you switch sides or not it still takes skill to shoot someone down. Padding score or perks you might call heroism in real life. I never read anywhere in the history books that said he wasn't all that good he padded his kills. Might be a little jealousy that they can't reach the levels of k/d as some.
-
POOR Grizz is only getting a frame rate of 44.... time to upgrade that junk. :devil
-
:huh I take a break to check out that Mechwarrior game and fit hits the shan. What happened??
-
steve switch sides for padding scores in a P-51. Kind of slow doing it. If i was to rack up my score i would be flying a AC with a eny of 20 or more not eny 5. Steve is a good guy and only switches to the country that has low numbers.
-
Well if he switched before the mission lifted, I don't see how it's score padding. Personally, it looks like he just likes to go after the big strat runs. I don't blame him, it's a hell of an opportunity for either side.
-
Steve steals my kids' Halloween and Easter candy.
:noid
-
The few times I've seen Steve flying, he's unfairly taking advantage the other side - wading in where they've upped 2 to 3 targets for each of the guys defending there. And rather than play fair, I've seen him angles fighting in those overpowered fast planes that are so great in a 3 on 1 turn fight - you know, like a P51.
Yep, he's definately a cad.

Some funny replies in this thread... good laughs. :aok
I do switch sides now and then but as pointed out, it's only to fly with the low numbers side. Someone should explain to Swoops that grabbing to 20+K in a rather slow climbing plane to face these odds:
is in no way conducive to score padding. Sure was fun though. :rock

That Muppet ankle humping gossip continued for at least a few more minutes there on country. It was like a group of girls doing their makeup in the bathroom crying about some boy who didn't notice them. :lol

I see nothing wrong with seeing a big strat mission bout to head out and deciding to fight it instead of join it. If you get upset about opposition then go bomb things in the TA

Vultches are the cheapest "kill" in the game and frankly I'd expect more from
someone who claims to be "looking for a better fight".
Better fights don't start with a vultch, or at least they don't in this players eyes.

Muppets hate Canadians. They're a shameful lot.

We vulch because we have this uncontrollable knack for killing fights with general uberness and as result, are left with a Muppet-capped field with a bunch of cry babies trying to get wheels up. :aok

Same here, but I even make it back to base if they are after me.

I haven't noticed them vultch...they usually let my wheels leave the tar...and sometimes the pretend they aren't watching...giving you that sense woohoo I made it......Not :lol :lol

When are people going to learn the muppets want you to talk about them. It doesn't matter if its negative or positive comments. They feed on that stuff like some sort of lower life form.

Dont break your arm patting yourself on the back there grizz.
I upped against you the other night three times. You were in mossy. Each time i got guns on the horde picked me. Not one con, but about 10 cons that were fighting to get to me first. Well really the just wanted to be the one to clear Grizzs six.
Muppet capped field I dont think so... horde vulche fest more like it.

Maybe you're just so good it takes 11 people to kill you? Silver lining buddy :aok

My contribution to this fantastic thread (<S> Steve and Grizz for bringing this to us) is to simply state that I endorse BillyD's eloquently stated post above. Therefore, in keeping with proper AH BBS protocol, and without any further adieu:

spies, switch sides, horde mongers... when are these muppet haters gonna get it right. i really dont care who's in my gunsights or whether or not they have wheels up. I play for a sore wrist and sweaty palm after a good fight and the occasional satisfaction of landing a wounded bird that was hounded by the usuall n1k, spit and pony dweebs of MA. I really dont care who whines, gripes, and complains in here. The only reason im here is to see if that tourny got updated yet.
ps 7-8 muppets would do a lot more cap to a field than any bufftard suidweebs could do in an hour of mishuns.

All muppets are puppets, but not all puppets can be muppets :D
-
first I didnt know that steve, agent and pain were in the same squad since I dont really care to check who belongs to what squad. all 3 of these guys are pretty cool and :salute to them. second my comment was more directed to grizz since I have seen him on many occasions to switch sides to pad his score. If I offended steve, agent or pain, then I am sorry that was not my intention. as for grizz, well lets just say I am disgusted with his attitude, but that is personal. I guess he's got a right to decide how to spend his 15 bucks, just like I have a right not to like it. :bolt:

I joined the Muppets last year and recently I have rejoined their ranks, mostly from a need of a change of scenery.
The amount of ire this squad draws is incredible, I even had one person I used to be friendly with literally squelch me when he found out I was in the Muppets.
I really don't understand it.

It is strange. It's like people are pre-offended about what you haven't said yet or what they think you are going to say. And as soon as you say something, you have said it in some "cocky muppet way". You say you're "disgusted" with Grizz's attitude , I can't see where you get that from. Are you disgusted by his skill in game or what you percieve him doing such as "padding score". Or is it some interaction you've had with him? If it's because you saw a pic of him I'd understand that.
-
When are people going to learn the muppets want you to talk about them. It doesn't matter if its negative or positive comments. They feed on that stuff like some sort of lower life form.
Actually, it's a bit simpler than that. From my perspective, any attention we garner is a side effect of our gameplay(just like it is for everyone else) and not a goal. We're just a bunch of guys who like to have fun in Aces High II.
It's fun to banter back and forth on 200 and here on the BBS but some folks make the mistake of taking our banter seriously, and sometimes we err and go too far. For the most part, we're just goofing around. Some squads are well organized and loaded with people who want to "work" together in the MA and they do a great job at accomplishing goals. Not so the muppets. We're a disorganized lot of fun seeking clowns. *shrug*
By the way, while many of the muppets kill other AH'ers in droves, they don't consider the rest of the AH population as lower life forms... except for maybe Boxboy. :D

Actually in all seriousness, he's a little irked in my inability to forget about the time he accused me of the big bad C word.

Its the skirts Slash, truly. Personally, I enjoy flying with or against most everyone - win or lose. Dont care much what other people do ingame (even stopped whining about being ho'd lol....).
Muppets are some of the best fights you can get ingame - even if I aint beat any of they buggers yet.
I don't quite get the animosity directed towards them, but hey ho.

Wurzel, find me in game and have at it. I'm beating the rust off to get a feel for the game again and it's a lot slower than I expected. So strike now and lets help each other out :D

While i have no idea if Steve actually did what Swoop is accusing him of....IF he did then "spies" and "side switcher" would apply. SO i think they got that right for ya :aok
Our personal sportsmanship IS important in this game...IF i used a shade account to know what my opposition was up to all the time (or had a squaddie switch to another country) then I would have a decided advantage over someone that didnt....while I'm not technically breaking a rule....if i did that on the football field then I would be a cheater and perhaps some will understand that analogy. Sure football is JUST a game as well. But folks that do this in AH are sort of the Bill Belichick (sp) of AH. Personally I don't get the need to "cheat" in this game...I like to win when I play my kids in battleship...but i don't want to do it with an unfair advantage (an advantage i gained by doing something my kid wouldn't)
As for the horde monger accusation...I think you have to be honest about the behavior of SOME muppets...yes they may be technically on the low number side but BECAUSE they are flying in groups of 5-8 (as you mentioned) then they are rarely truly outnumbered in the AREA they choose to fight on the map. There is nothing wrong with this...it is a smart thing to do. But lets not try to pretend they are on the deck 4 v 1 defending a base that is getting rolled. Grizz is getting somewhere around >80% of his kills in jets. In general this is not an attribute I would give a "furballer" or someone who truly wants to test skills 1v1 etc. It is something that would suggest someone playing for score. I only mention Grizz because he is the newest Muppet poster boy. I know that he is a very good pilot. I just find it ironic that the guys who "hate" pacerr for flying tempests and flying for score have no issue with similar behavior from one of their own. So while "hordemonger" is not the right term...I would never put most of my muppet encounters into ones where they are numerically at a true disadvantage.
Now because i dared post against such an uber squad I will now be added to the list of "muppet haters"....but honestly why did Steve feel the bbs was an appropriate venue to address Swoops comments??? Steve knows how to use private email or pm swoop to hash it out. Steve seems like a good guy and i dont have an individual issue with him. Sometimes posting stuff like that seems a little "Methinks he doth protest to much...." A simpler solution would be..."Don't use info or pass info along that gives you an advantage over someone else in a virtual game or you reduce AH to an adolescent gaming mentality" Again I only say this because I haven't seen Steve deny this occurred and several posters have weighed saying this was acceptable behavior IF it did occur. From my standpoint i obviously disagree...
-
Well, looked what the ankle dragged in.

Don't forget my Me163 sorties either. That might bring the tally up to 90%. (At least this tour anyways which is what, 1 week old? :lol Very substantial statistics!)
I'm glad you brought up my 'score padding' jet runs though. Anyone here is welcome to wing jets with me in the MA and you might just learn that there is nothing more effective for busting up a horde and turning the tides of a fight than two NOE jets buzzing around. I do suspect however, that many of you can't handle being surrounded by a swarm of red on the deck while attempting to juggle the situational awareness, continuous HO dodging, and constant need to exploit thin gun solutions with the 30mm. If you think you got what it takes, PM me in the game, and we can wing em up into the biggest baddest horde on the map.
Here's some 'timid score padding' jet flying against your tempest falcnwng. :lol Ownt.

It's actually really funny that you would ever cast stones my way again after being owned this badly by my jet.

DO NOT get us confused.
"Swoops" is not affiliated with "Swoop" in any way.
There can be only one!

What i remember of that episode was a lot of red over a bish base so i winged up with a squaddie to try and bust it up...I saw a 262 "buzzing" or as i call it "picking" bish engaged in a fight. I had no idea it was you so i dived in hard to try and catch the 262....you caught me off guard by locking horns and used my e against me.
I have some films of me taking out your 109 in my la7 a few days after that....if we want to post films of the other dying...after you died twice you quit upping. I'm sure it wasn't helpiing your score.
But lets be honest...you flew 132 HOURS last camp.....are you kidding me?????? I flew 16 hours. You should be 20 times better then me with that sort of dedication :huh I actually feel sorry for you that you have nothing better to do then play one video game....where I don't feel sorry for you is because this game is obviously so important to you, you and some of your ilk feel the need to INSIST it be important to the rest of us. You seem to be striving for goals that only make you the biggest dweeb in most folks eyes. I sincerely hope this makes sense to you...but I'm sure it won't. Dude 132 hours????? :lol NOTE: since im stuck in the ER i went back 3 camps to be fair to you...you were 162 hours in december!!!! 80 hours in november. Thats 376 hours or assuming 8 hour work days...you worked 47 days out of the last 120 days at this game :uhoh
If you don't understand the absolute patheticness of this....well nevermind.
I hope you posted the whole film because it would illustrate exactly how you fly...you were doing high speed passes at guys enagaged with your other squaddies...nothing wrong about it...its just how you fly the 262. It's been my personal experience with SOME muppets. Be honest as to why you fly the jets almost exclusively...just don't insult folks with "i'm furballing" defense....or the "i only fly against higher numbers". Thats the point i was responding to in this thread.
Once again methinks you protest alot over how you fly....just own it dude...
But the bottom line is this...who cares???? If most of the folks in here just fly for fun and to hang out with buds and don't choose to be on as many hours as you choose to to be "uber" at one video game....so what??? You act as if you killing me in a jet means anything to me??? Thats exactly why your squad gets the grief it does....SOME of them actually act like this is IMPORTANT. I'm sorry you just don't get it. It's pathetic that you even feel the need to boast or post films or "be number one" in what is for most folks a silly diversion. Let me know when it makes you more successful in life would ya??? Try this...get a custom t-shirt made that says "I'm the number one pilot in a cartoon video game" and let me know how that works out for ya :x
-
But the bottom line is this...who cares????
You do.
-
:huh
-
You do.
Nope...I'm just stuck here at 4 o'clock in the morning with nothing else to do while i wait for some results. What are you doing up?? well actually now its 5 o'clock and I have to go to work in 2 hours so i might as well not sleep. Somehow it is better to just not go to bed at this point. ;) I thought you were in the killuminati with Betty anyway...or maybe thats another Dano. At least you have continued the trend of Muppets rushing to defend their own :aok You guys remind me of the movie "Dodgeball". Guess which gym I think you guys are :lol
