41 year old Swede got busted in Schiphol, just before departure of an Correndon Airlines Boeing 707 flight to Ankara, on the grounds that he doesn't have a commercial license.
He has flown for several airlines, all across the world, racked up 10 000 hours... but only has a regular flight permit.. that had expired long time ago...And he had managed to fly commercial with a commercial permit he had made himself..
Upon arrest he appeared to be relieved that the lie was over
:airplane:

why punish him. that is the airlines fault for not looking up him certification.

Is it okay to murder as long as the police don't figure it out?
:rofl

Kind of sucks for him, he should have gotten his license or something...

So you are good if the "Dr." treating you and your kids isn't really a doctor at all but someone who had advanced first aid classes and just called themselves a Doctor before performing medical procedures. That would only be the problem of the medical building that let him / her have an office.
Fraud is illegal whether anyone died or not.

Wonder if he was ever bitten by a scorpion?

I agree that he should got on top of it, but the system fail to do there part too.

Catch me if you can.

At least he wasn't flying drunk.

Wonder if he was ever bitten by a scorpion?
Don't you mean stung?
-
so in all of those 13 years he didn't crash or have an accident once?
I say give him a licence if that is the case :D
-
Told a 86 year old USAF retired Major about this today. His exact works were " Huh? I say they give him a dam license!"
-
I don't think they should give him a license, but he should be pardoned and told to go get his license, and then allowed to continue in his previous job.
-
13 years of flying commercial jets without a licsence and he got away with it. Not a single crash or question.
As far as training hours he has had better than any other pilot in any airline in the world. So give him his licsence and keep a good pilot on staff.
Economics you know :D
-
The guy probably has a wealth of systems, mechanical, and human factors knowledge. After all, he wasn't exposed to general-public training.

Better for flying than the Ucranian crew that was busted the other day.
Papers, - fine.
Promilles....not fine, - ranging from 3 to 3.5 for the entire crew :devil

Fake Swedish air pilot flies passenger jets for THIRTEEN YEARS without a licence... and is fined just £1,700 (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1279083/Fake-Swedish-pilot-Thomas-Salme-flies-Air-One-jets-13-years.html)
Last month he was fined £1,700 and was banned from flying for 12 months by a Dutch court - which noted that in the entire 13 years, he had never caused an accident
