Meatloaf? I thought that was one of those Urban Legends. You know something you threaten your kids with if they don't behave. ie. If you don't clean up your room and take out the garbage we will feed you carrots w/peas and MEATLOAF! :Oh I Don't touch the stuff.

You'll eat a greasy nasty hamburger but you won't eat meatloaf?
Hamburger = ground beef
Meatloaf = ground beef
Salisbury steak = ground beef
Looks like ground beef to me...amazingly it tastes just like ground beef too.

I was talking to my mom on the phone one day about 10 years ago or so and she told me a black bear had tried getting into her house. She said she thought it must have been attracted by the salmon loaf she was making. She lived in the country on 120 acres of wooded land. I never heard of salmon loaf but it doesn't sound very good to me even though I like salmon. After that my wife at the time always called my mom mountain woman.
BTW, I like meatloaf with ketsup but not baked on.

Meatloaf with A1 baby! Or gravy. Maybe A1 gravy.

There is a big difference between "It will be out X" and "We're trying our hardest to get it out X".
They never said when it would be out, just when they were trying. I never expected it until maybe April at the earliest, there is a lot of work and bug fixing that goes into these things.

I can't stand Meatloaf...I dated a girl way back in college that thought he was the flapping best thing EVER!!!! She was good in the sack but I am glad that I got dumped by her dumb bellybutton because she "couldn't have a relationship with someone 2 hours away".
Best thing that every happened since I hooked up with her former best friend on the way out of town after that breakup on a Saturday afternoon and then that next week I hooked up with her former suite mate in college!
Best week of my life and I got to play golf with her Meatloaf cassette tapes!

Was only picking a little bit, god knows I wouldnt want it released unfinished, or with a bunch of unresolved bugs.

"Paradise by the Dashboard Light" is a classic, but it's the writting as much as the performance.

Its 2010----hopefully meatloaf died in the 1950s and 60s along with Jim Crow and segregation. We're civilized now---wine and not cold milk with meals. Yes, I was born in 1961 but I guess in San Francisco we left the cuisine of Ozzie and Harriet behind quite early and for that I am grateful. (Proudly and defiantly NOT from Palin's "real America").

Interesting. I'm not either, but also not a snob. :aok
You my friend have never had good meatloaf. :D

Agree, probably thinks pot roast is better...a great meatloaf is like the ultimate burger without the bun and you know it's great because after it's cold you can cut off a slice then heat it up if you want, place it on a bun, then dollop whatever goodies you want on it to make a mouthwatering tasty burger.

Meatloaf is pretty good when you do it up correctly.
The age of Mom's boring meatloaf are OVER.
First off, it's easy to throw in some sliced black or stuffed green olives--add a clove or two of chopped garlic as well. Easy. Next, before even putting it in the bread pan, layer the bottom and sides with thick sliced bacon...not the wimpy thin slice--THICK slice bacon. Then put the meat and olive mixture into the pan. Then place a layer of thick slice bacon on top, THEN the catchup or BBQ sauce--preferably the latter. Let rest after baking at least 30 minutes.

Of course I'm guessing, hence the "I never expected".

HAHA! When I make meatloaf, I cut several slits into the top of it lengthwise, and insert several slices of thick sliced bacon right down into those slits... it spreads the bacon taste throughout and the crispy bits of bacon that sit on top of the loaf are TO DIE FOR!

Ouch! painful, but true... :rofl

Sounds pretty good.
A friend of mine owns a restaurant, a few weeks ago, while messing around after hours, he made up a big batch of chicken fried bacon.
It sounds interesting, but truth be told, it was just too much.
What a concept though!

Oh YES! Batter to hold the fat in, Mmmmmm, NOT! :confused: Might as well inject I.V. Crisco. :rolleyes:
