Is it just the most dishonorable thing a pilot can do? If a plane is on fire and the pilot is just trying to get home, I say let him go. What do you guys think
-
You must be new here :)
-
I think the pilot should bail..... so I can shoot his chute. :devil
-
it depends. If i know the guy that shot u up is still alive i probably wouldnt waste my ammo but if i saw or think he died i'd light u up like a xmas tree struck by lightning. :aok
-
The enemy must die! Next question please :D
If you was on fire i doubt you'd of made it back to base anyhow.
-
If you wait until they roll to a stop, you don't have to lead them.
-
well the pilot is injured, I got noob rammed, both engines down, leaking fuel, guns jammed, flaps and a rudder down, lef aileron down, gear malfunctioned. is it honorable then?
-

:rofl :rofl

attacked a set of lancs with a P51D once, got 2 of his drones and ran out of ammo (cause im a horrible shot) i flew next to him (i dont know why) but for about 10mins he didnt shoot at me even though he could get me with his guns
i unfortunately got no video of it so i can remember who it was :salute
-
It sounds like you were in a P38....there was still too many parts working for you to be able to land in accordance with the 38 landing procedures, from what I am able to understand....this was not a dishonorable situation but could have been had the con allowed you to land in such a good state.
-
and what if the dude just takes a few shots and breaks off to not be seen again? and Yes I was in a p38, but I was struggling to get home due to an unexpectged loss of altitude
-

You're silly. I like you.
KAPPA CAN I KEEP HIM?
-
well there is no point in running if you haven't landed any hits on a cripple aircraft....you won't get credit for a super, you should have seen me doing this and that pwnage kill..
In all seriousness though...this is the MA...you will get some that will let you go and some that won't. I just last night was annoyed...(well not really annoyed just felt like it) with a guy so shot his shoot...this is something I don't normally do....That is,unless you are BBaw and you bail and make a run for the field to pop off a few pilots on take off with your .45
-
unexpectged loss of altitude
Burninc palne's ave tis pwoblem al te tyme.

It sounds like you have what it takes to be a P-38 pilot! If you can maintain that amount of damage and light both engines on fire, you'll have a great start down the road to greatness! Good luck. :salute

Honor means nothing if that bugger is going to stagger home after picking my buddies. It's the principle of it!
-
it was actually the guy thar noob rammed me that took the shots, and I barely made it home safely
-
If I put a tater in your engine block and you are coasting back trying to ditch damn straight I'm gonna put you down like a horse with a broken leg.
-
I'd face shoot you to hear the sweet sweet cries :aok
-
I'd only shoot you if I thought you were going to put it down safely.
Otherwise I'd just fly along side and watch you screaming in your burning cockpit, clawing at the canopy with charred finger stumps.
:D,
Wab
-
I position myself to HO burning planes.... Just for giggles
-
I won't stop shooting till i see the kill message. plus if i kill you that means i can get a rage kill as you chase me back before i land.
-
I follow them to the ground & continue to fire...usually get an assist for my trouble and sometimes...Ooops!...steal the kill. :bolt: :old: :joystick:
-
I kill em, the amount of times a crippled plane has managed to get a lucky shot on me is rather silly especially the damn flaming zeke`s, flying for 30 seconds while on fire still managing to shoot accurately yeah riiiggghht, i think this is more likely:

You don't GET "noob rammed" you do the "noob ramming" :D Your new airplane doesn't cost much ya know.
-
Lets say that this was real life, and I saw an injured bomber that had just dropped its bombs on my friends. Is it dishonorable if I made sure that he did not get a chance to do it again?
-
if he's on fire, it's a moot point.
-
why does moot get the points?
-
if he's on fire, it's a moot point.
He can only be on fire for 3 seconds nube :furious
-
why does moot get the points?
point thief
-
I used to let them go until I ran across the goofs who shut off the engine during a fight, only took one time getting shot down by one of them to change my SOP.
shamus
-
Poor new guy. I feel your pain, I do. I will however shoot all airplanes that are still flying or gliding. :D
-
Nope. Kill him before he can kill you - or one of your buddies.
-
well the pilot is injured, I got noob rammed, both engines down, leaking fuel, guns jammed, flaps and a rudder down, lef aileron down, gear malfunctioned. is it honorable then?
Yes.
ack-ack
-
I thought some more about this one and what is dishonorable is to let them suffer... :devil
-
I'm sure I've uttered the phrase "don't let that SOB get home!" more than a few times. :aok
However somewhat off topic, I hate when I'm slowly falling to the ground missing some important parts (like, I dunno... wings) and multiple red dudes come zooming by in a desperate attempt to get a kill. Although I love it when they auger in their attempt, giving me the proxy seconds before I hit the ground.
-
I'll continue to shoot until the plane goes "poof" or catastrophic damage occurs, as to ward off the kill thieves.
As for chutes, damn right I'll shoot them. If there is a good fight going, I'm gonna eliminate the chute from popping 6's to his buddies. Usually I'm the type to laugh when someone bails above 6k, because you're out of a plane, for that much longer (5 mins +).
-
The best is to let them get close to their base so it increases their feeling of making it home safely and just when they finish lowering the gear, nail them. Nothing is more enjoyable than destroying someone's will to live.
ack-ack

Don't even let the guy put himself through all that agony.
Shoot em on the runway before he even takes off!!
Saves time for both parties.
Just think of the accolades you'll receive when you land all your "kills". :airplane:

:lol  :aok
-
Although if your in a furball its honorable then. He still may be able to land a few hits. Its kinda fun to watch the dudes bad aim and have him fly by you and nail him there
-
but is that honourable
Its kinda fun to watch the dudes bad aim and have him fly by you and nail him there
how honourable is it to kill someone with bad aim.....
it happens to me all the time
someone with better aim kills me...
I don't see that as honourable .......in it...
I mean ..how can I kill em if I `m dead
bloody disgrace
and its certainly not cricket
-

The other night in MW, UMP40 and Cobia 38 were locked in a stall fight. Ump in a Zero and Cobia in his A20.
No one could gain the advantage and both wound up ditching a few feet from each other.
Ump jumped out and slugged it out with 45's
Never have I seen that before was friggin hilarious

dhooting aircraft with rockets is most irritating. at least use a b25H
-
I guess shooting me in the back all the time is honorable??? :huh

I use to have a rule back in AH I ... above 10K let them float ... below 10K pop the meat Popsicle ... now I shoot any chute floating around, I don't care what the circumstance is.
HiTech took the fun out of watching people who bailed out at high altitude tho ... now while in the chute you can do an .ef ... :(
-
Don't let them fall, you're Sammy Small, "kill" them all. :D

If you don't shoot gliders, then what to do about those pesky me163's below 40k.
-
Glider here...
I don't think anyone should ever shoot me down.
