I used to let them go until I ran across the goofs who shut off the engine during a fight, only took one time getting shot down by one of them to change my SOP.

Poor new guy.  I feel your pain, I do.  I will however shoot all airplanes that are still flying or gliding. :D

Nope.  Kill him before he can kill you - or one of your buddies.

I thought some more about this one and what is dishonorable is to let them suffer... :devil

I'm sure I've uttered the phrase "don't let that SOB get home!" more than a few times.  :aok

However somewhat off topic, I hate when I'm slowly falling to the ground missing some important parts (like, I dunno... wings) and multiple red dudes come zooming by in a desperate attempt to get a kill.  Although I love it when they auger in their attempt, giving me the proxy seconds before I hit the ground.

I'll continue to shoot until the plane goes "poof" or catastrophic damage occurs, as to ward off the kill thieves.

As for chutes, damn right I'll shoot them.   If there is a good fight going, I'm gonna eliminate the chute from popping 6's to his buddies.   Usually I'm the type to laugh when someone bails above 6k, because you're out of a plane, for that much longer (5 mins +).

The best is to let them get close to their base so it increases their feeling of making it home safely and just when they finish lowering the gear, nail them.  Nothing is more enjoyable than destroying someone's will to live.

Is it just the most dishonorable thing a pilot can do? If a plane is on fire and the pilot is just trying to get home, I say let him go. What do you guys think

Don't even let the guy put himself through all that agony.

Shoot em on the runway before he even takes off!!

Saves time for both parties.

Just think of the accolades you'll receive when you land all your "kills". :airplane:
