Given the choice between contacting HTC to have the account reactivated and posting a thread suggesting that this apparent oversight is a deal-breaker... you choose the latter?
-
They would only cancel for non payment (closed account) or if you stopped paying every month.

The account can't be reactivated if it's been deleted. I've been down that road myself. I lost over 20,000 fighter perks with no warning.

They used to send out an email warning. That was nice if you hadn't logged in for awhile. Apparently they don't do that anymore.

But if payment is still being made, how can they cancel your account? it would be considered active reguardless of flying time you would think

The debit card we use was issued by our Credit Union. The CU is in the habit of putting the card on hold for online purchases for the slightest things. This has it's pros and cons, obviously it makes it much harder to be hit by identity thieves but it can also be rather annoying when trying to pay things like game subscriptions. Since the CU never warns us when the debit card is put on hold we only find out either when an online subscription doesn't get paid or we try make a purchase online. Or in the case of the AH subscription when I would get an email or a warning when I would log into the game.

oh crap, now i understand, my bank will put a hold (stop) if theres to many transactions in a certian time frame,( they will call me) granted its a Bank Card that comes out of my checking, but i like the feature of them watching over it when it comes to card useage.
-
Emails are sent when a transaction does not go through. Unfortunately, if you are on a service which blocks email from us, or automatically puts it in a spam folder, you may never see it. There is nothing we can do about those circumstances.
Accounts get locked after a couple of weeks and we have not heard from the player. After 30 more days of not hearing from the person, the account is deleted.
EDIT: Belial, your account is still active. Apparently you tried to log into an older account, which you had already deleted. If you have forgotten that login ID and password, drop billing@hitechcreatios.com a line.

Skuzzy does that even mean if payment is still being made? if i take 2 months off and as long as i keep my account paid i wont lose everything will i?
-
No, as long as the account is in good standing it will remain opne no matter how often it is used. Accounts only get locked when payment is not made.
I modified my post. Belial check it.

The email I had set up with you guys neither blocks your emails or sends it to a spam folder. This is evidenced by the fact that I used to get those emails. I hadn't logged into the game in some time and hence had no warning that the account hadn't been paid since there was no email warning either.

I am just telling you that an automated email is sent whenever there is a billing problem with a credit/debit card. It is automated and it does go out.
I am happy to look into why an email is not delivered. As we run our own email servers it is quite easy for me to get the reasons why any email is not delivered.
We just need to know the account login ID.

hhmm....i never got one....i use aohell, and they don't normally block anything. i also check my spam folder on a regular basis.
i also can't seem to get to the account admin screen, as it continually sends me back to the login/password screen.

Hmm i think your right I must have forgotten my correct login I'll have to check out the new arena this weekend thanks skuzzy <S>

I have seen AOL lose many, many emails. Comcast too. All we can do is make sure the remote server gets the email. After that, we have no control over it.

Well, I started a new account tonight and got the authentication email just fine. It's not on my end. Same email as before. Old login ID was 1Elfie. Which wasn't available even though the account has been deleted.....kinda wierd.

Well just so I wouldn't have that problem, I paid for one year in advance, the three years, and then got one of my daughters to pay for this year as a birthday present! Nice :aok
