It would be a great addition to leave the orange arena how it is, and shorten in the blue the con icon range down to 1K
This will give more option in every aspect!
what do you think, its worth i would say

The correct answer is for the player to go to the arena which caters to his/her stype of play and stop trying to force others to play his/her way.

Reason it won't work. Say you see a con in the distance, but unable to tell if it is a friend or foe, all you would have to do is pull up your clipboard to see if a friendly is in that area. Example if you see two cons and only see one friendly on your clipboard then you know there is at least one enemy.

This +1 for my skins working without having some botard just spot my icon at 6K and running me down.

Sorry Filth but anyone that doesn't have enough SA to be ready for a fight at all times...deserves to be picked even with icons at 6k.
There are a number of reasons shortened icon ranges aren't appropriate for any of the MAs...even though I think it would be nice to have one setup.

Really hate it when we get these really long explanations it confuses me :D. but seriously once we had no icon set up in our squad nite, we ended up shootkilling each other.

Well I think it would be nice to have no icons or shorten icons for at least one day a week like they have on Tuesday. But the problem with it is that people do not like change. You can see it every day in the BB. People just don't like to try new things and it is all about change.

This horse has been beat past death, it's now to the point of pounding dust. Besides the fact that the majority of people don't like it or want it. There's the little issue of all three countries flying the same aircraft in the Orange Blue and Purple arenas. Not to mention the game's creator says NO. If you want a no icon or limited icon experience I encourage you to try the Axis vs Allied arena. It's working there because there's just two sides each flying either Axis or Allied aircraft. We're having a blast with it so give it a try and if you enjoy it, come back and bring any like minded squadmates you may have. A no icons settup is pointless in the three country all aircraft arena.

I think what you guys are missing is that orange and blue have to have the same settings. You can't cap one and force people to play with different settings than the arena they want to enter.

I'm still trying to understand how shortening the icon range will create more thrill. Afterall, you still have radar to see where friendly and cons are.
If you want to shut down enemy icons, that option is available already.

Shorter icon ranges means they get more picks/ambush kills, less fights. They don't like fighting, they just want kills.

Actually it's been my experiance in the AVA the fights have improved. With no enemy icons and limited friendly icons you have to get close and ID each other.
With the lack of a distance counter as you have with enemy icons people are doing more flying with less tater tossing and 50 cal lazer blasting. You're forced to get in closer and manuver to ensure your gun solution. Yeah there are bounces to be sure but the actual fighting in there is better than it's been in a while.
