The Firefly would be a good Navel aircraft to see in AH
Would be a good dive bomber and a potential fighter attacker
(Yes I am well aware that people have posted topics about this before)
Performance
Maximum speed: 316 mph at 14,000 ft
Range: 1,300 mi
Service ceiling: 28,000 ft
Armament
Guns: 4 × 20 mm Hispano-Suiza HS.404 cannons
Rockets: 8 × RP-3 "60 lb" rockets
Bombs: 2 × 1,000 lb (454 kg) bomb under wings

Would be a nice addition
Any thoughts?

Ok so...you're saying this would be as useful as what currently exists for allied aircraft naval operations...how exactly, I mean besides the "oh cool" factor? Just another late war Brit monster with no real purpose...especially considering the Typhoon and Tempest.

Typhoon and Tempest can't operate off of CVs,
That said, Axis needs some new aircraft first.

It has BIG GUNZ!!1!

+1. Let HTC decide the priority.

it was slow, and mid war
-
it was slow, hurricane bad :lol, and i think early war maybe mid war
Actually late war. If it actually flew at 315mph that's not so slow...you should have someone like NK5L show you how "slow" the Hurricane really is.

Look for better sources. It was late war. First British aircraft to fly over Tokyo though.

what was in the canopy behind the pilot?

The back seater's role was pretty much the same as the current back seater's role in today's modern 2 seat jets. The back seater on the Firefly was the navigator/weapons officer.

Do you need little tiny planes and pilots, and fluff filters for a navel aircraft? :lol

You do know there was a Sea Hurri with the IIc 4-20mm wing that could carry 2-500lb bombs? I asked for it some time ago. I think there might be some hesitation to allowing 4 cannon unperked birds off the CV's in this game. You could pull a CV right on to shore and launch a never ending hoard of 4 cannon HOers to mow everything down. Especially with the puffy ack keeping everyone below 3k. Your hoard just ups and circles above the CV to 5k or 8k and cannon vulches the feild defenders.
Anything nonperked with 4 cannons in a hoard with a 25,000 yard auto ack protected flight to the target is a disruptive game play problem. What would happen if HiTech unperked the CHog only from CV's? Most players would up in only the CHog because of the 4 cannon HO power.
-
Hence why CVs shouldn't be allowed to get closer than 25 miles from an enemy base.

Make my Navel Aircraft an "innie". It'll patrol Uranus searching for Klingons.
