Last night I took off in a Typhoon with 100% fuel load and rockets and on allowing auto take-off on climbout (smoke break), I noticed that the plane was slowly turning to the right as if there was a strong crosswind or trim was way off. After about 60 seconds in the air, my heading changed a good 20-30 degrees from the initial runway take-off. :joystick:

Probably just torque, the Typhoon/Tempest tend to have a lot of it.

Not with auto takeoff...all adjustments are automatic.

Yes, even with auto takeoff torque still has a small effect.

With the Typhoon and Tempest you need to level off first and let it get to climb speed (180) before putting it in auto-climb mode. The auto-takeoff will initiate a climb that is below the proper speed and so torque will take the plane to the right.

Set .speed 200 and the problem goes away. Just make sure you're off the ground and at 200 ias before you do it though.

Default settings auto-take-off, auto-climb, and auto-level with a Typhy running on WEP or full throttle will cause it to drift to the right due to torque... my recomended solution (and what I do), chart your headings to compensate for this torque before you go for a smoke break (or ease off the throttle a bit). The slower you go though the more an effect the torque has, so take-off has more torque effect than auto-climb, and auto-level flight has the least.

not a bug

if its a bug its always been there at least as long as ive been playing....

The drift I was talking about is the wing-low drift in a right hand circle that happens when you just do the auto-takeoff.
