Title: Transformers 3 - Is this good news or bad news?
Post by: Saxman on June 11, 2010, 09:44:42 PM
Michael Bay has owed up to the disappointment of Transformers 2 by accepting partial responsibility for the mistakes that led to most audience complaints (personally, I didn't think it was quite AS bad as people said. However it WAS incredibly slow, overblown, and I HATED that they turned the Constructicons into generic Decepticon cannon fodder troops. Hell, even sprite comics have moved past recolors! Devastator was awesome, tho). I hope George Lucas is paying attention to this.

As far as the lineup for Transformers 3, Bay has confirmed that Shockwave will be joining the Decepticons, which has the potential for awesome.

However now that Megan Fox has been booted, IMO the only thing that has ANY hope of redeeming the franchise now is to bring on Unicron.

Good call on Unicron.  Though if they tried that now, people would be whining about how it was too much like the new Star Trek IMO.

Ehhhh she was just eye candy for the movie anyway...nothing of real substance in my opinion. Its and action movie adapted from a comic book series; don't put too much faith into them following the way it should have been just like they screwed up GI Joe.

Well are they having the sector 7 guy in the film again or did I just not get that far in reading the site?

Transformers 3: Back in Training

From what I understand John Tuturro IS returning. The only main (human) cast that's not is Fox.

Ehhhh she was just eye candy for the movie anyway...nothing of real substance in my opinion.

You think the chick (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosie_Huntington-Whiteley) they're replacing her with is gonna to be any different?

Fox at least had SOME (mostly TV or TV movies) prior acting credits. Huntington hasn't done anything but Victoria's Secret commercials. Guess we know Bay's opinion on actresses.

Megan Fox turned into a prima-donna. She was a nothing until her appearance in the first movie, and her acting isn't enough to overcome the on set attitude. It's going to be interesting to see how this next episode turns out.

Unicron would be a bad call. I wonder what other primes they are going to try and dig up though.

Ehhh more eye candy with nothing substantial to add to the film other than boobs and booty!

Why? I mean seriously, how can you go wrong with a robot the size of a planet that EATS other planets?

Besides, in the original mythology the Fallen was a minion of Unicron to begin with. It would only make sense for him to be a build up to Unicron.

Unicron came in with the "space wars" part of the story from the far reaches of space and Megatron was resurrected as Galvatron. It would require the end of Optimus Prime and introduce Rodimus Prime as well as many other somewhat lesser known characters. Besides, that part of the transformers saga detracts from the current storyline which focuses on the battles over the possession of Earth.

Actually, it would be a good way to END the series. Optimus sacrifices himself (He's Optimus, it just wouldn't be Transformers if he didn't sacrifice himself to save everyone) to destroy Unicron and end the war altogether; no more Decepticons, no need to introduce Rodimus Prime or any of the others.

Trilogies are nice. They have a beginning, middle and end. They need to stop at 3.

I'll drop my kids off to see it, but I need a bit more substance in a movie. If it's not any good, that doesn't surprise me. Just another blow em up trash film out of hollyweird.

Garner... she is cute.  not "model" cute but a good lookin' woman none the less.

Biel?  ugh.  Never saw the allure.

Now Jesica Alba...

That chick is near perfect.

Quote
According to a team of mathematicians at Cambridge who have no chance whatsoever with her, Jessica Alba has the perfect body ratio.

"The academics found that it is the ratio between hips and waist that puts the sway into a woman's walk - and the nearer that ratio is to 0.7, the better.
This ratio provides the body with the right torso strength to produce a more angular swing and bounce to the hips during the walking motion.

Therefore, a woman with a 25in waist and 36in hips would have just the right proportions to carry off a sexy swagger as she walks.

The Jessica Alba sashay beat off competition from Kate Moss, Angelina Jolie and even Marilyn Monroe, whose walk along a railway platform in Some Like It Hot is one of the most famous in film history.

While Monroe was a fraction off the target ratio with 0.69, the Cambridge team said that Alba had the perfect proportions."

Just another blow em up trash film out of hollyweird.
There is nothing else worth watching. If you want drama, watch the soaps. If you want reality, watch Jerry Springer. A well balanced movie that captures your attention is as rare as seeing Jessica Alba nude in real life. (  :D had to throw that in there after that pic Lute posted).

WMLute nailed it with this Victorias Secret chick now in the 3rd movie! Yep they can add her eye candy to the plot or just write everyone else out in the first act and let her have the screen alone and scantily dressed for the next 2 hours and I would be good.

Y'know, as long as Hollywood is mucking up 80s cartoon series, they should do live-action remakes of Dino-Riders and MASK.

:D

I know this will sound crazy but, Mask was a live action move and, already beaten to death by Horrywud, before it was a cartoon.
