Movie music: Sometimes even in great movies it makes you go :huh (I'm looking at you, Ladyhawke). But there's some soundtracks out there that are just so PERFECT that all you need to hear is the first few notes to bring everything that movie meant to you right to mind.

Anything that has the sound of James Horner, Danny Elfman, Alan Silvestri, John William, Hans Zimmer, Harald Kloser, Marco Beltrami... etc :aok
There are so many I don't have a favorite yet.
But if I have to find something that gets stuck is this one: Pretty close to the OP (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QM3pi8ObH_U#t=1m21s)
Edit: I forgot James Newton Howard...

Actually, that predates the movie by a good 45 years.
800 if you want to include the date the poems themselves were written...

Our school's band played that in eighth grade, and man was it awesome to be playing the bass drum! I could feel the sound go through my chest each time I hit it. BOOM... KA-BOOM! BOOM... KA-BOOM!

Backdraft has always had one of my favorite musical scores.

I've also been a bit of a sucker for 'ol John Williams, and while The Raiders March has always been a favorite there was actually a bit off of the Temple of Doom score that I preferred.

I REALLY wish they'd release the full orchestral score for this. There's a lot of music that's missing from the CD:

That was a damn fine movie and a good find sax, thanks. :rock

Hans Zimmer doesn't count as a composer. He's written one score in the past 15 years and rehashed it for every movie he's worked on since.
Real composers are the ones like Williams, Elfman, etc.
