best to just not get wound up about it. Its a game that lets you play 24-7x4 for 14.95 and there are plenty of places to bomb and toons to kill.

Dang Admiral won't let me have my 38 on the CV. That is more of a problem. I tick him off by landing on it in my 38 for fuel. :D

We need a 10 minute time limit that throws the Admiral overboard if changes aren't made to cv course.

Just call out on team channel for someone to bump the person controlling.

For gross dereliction of duty and acting in a generally annoying manner in game

I took control once of a cv a couple of weeks ago. had it defending out port with 2 eny cv's near by and an enemy base 1 1/2 sectors away. we probably had about 20 to 30 planes up in the air attacking the port with an equal number of planes up in the air defending. I stayed in the maned guns controlling the cv and stopped counting after 20 friendly planes went into the water as I moved the cv our of harm's way. I kept control of it for over 1/2 an hour 'till we sank the two eny cv's. about 2 min later I heard on the radio that an a20 got thru and was about to hit the cv at the time, i had at least 10 planes on the deck taking off so i delayed turning until the last was airborn, some bombs from the a20 hit the cv (it had been damaged before i took control also) with a single p38 finishing the cv a couple of min later.
I had no less than 3 guys tell me what a moron I was and how I should never take control of a cv again. Well they were not there with me to see how I had actually saved the cv many times before by turning it just in time and how I never upped once while in control. sometimes when people take control they actually do take care of the cv, but it cannot be saved every time. I say this because I sink lots of cvs every month.
anyway you dont want the cv sunk, well take control of it, 2 of the guys that yelled at me had a higher rank than me and they could have easily taken control of it, but they didnt. you dont have enough rank, then up a plane and stay above the cv, it's not hard to tell which direction the bombers will be coming from or how long it will take. Look at the map and pay attention to the nearest bases with ords still up, that's where they bombers will be coming from.
cv gets sunk, it's everybody's fault, not just the captain. so if a bonehead is afk, why werent you attacking the bombers at least 2 min before they hit the cv?

I totally agree with you.
Sometimes the best person to control the cv is the 5 inch gunner.
Many times I have defended a cv on my own against multiple attacks & gotten it to safety.( one time comes to mind where I ended up with 50 odd kills & a cv still afloat. Sorry Tropical Thunder guys <S>)
It's when someone who takes control & moves the cv so the 5 inch gunner cannot shoot at the attackers that is also the problem.
One trick is bringing as many auto guns to bear early then turning at the last possible moment.

I've taken control of a CV a couple times when I had a better rank. I can crack them with a 5" gun beyond icon range.
When the bombers started coming I tried to turn the fleet. So many guys were grabbing at steering that I could not input my commands.
Of course, when we sunk, it was all my fault.

I quit messing with CVs altogether. They're just a big pain in the arse.
