in the ava last night. got home earlier than expected, and logged in. for a bit, the fights were up kind of high.....like 24k high........and there was a lot of "latewaresque" smack talk going on, but that seemed to die down after a bit.
was good numbers.....thing i saw around 20 or so at one point.
after about an hour, the fights came down to a reasonable altitude......like 5k down to the deck reasonable. had a couple great fights against rammey.....won one, lost one. got myself picked, despite check-six's from others(target fixation) a couple of times. discovered that although i think spitfires are easymode, i still totally suck in them, and seem to be able to perform much much better in the hurricane1.
had one fight that should yeild some great screenshots......started as a 4-1, became a 4-2, then a 3-1 fairly quickly, which i actually survived, as the last of the three(vultchey) bugged out.
i always feel good when it takes more than one to kill me cartoon self.....and even better when i manage to take out a couple of them, and make one or more of em run away. :devil
dam those early war POS's are fun. :aok

Welcome to my fun little world. :banana: I found the Hurri-1 a couple of years ago when I was bored with the game and decided to try something "that is teh suk".

yea...it did seem to die down when they left, but from what i could tell, they didn't start the poop though....they just flew high. i didn't like the fact that all was high like that, but i guess i cvan understand it for squad ops though.

You should have noticed that the smack-talk started with the usual foofy suspects and got less response than usual from their intended targets.
As far as high alt, well I suppose if I was flying spits and hurricanes I'd want everyone else in low turn fights flying their weakness against my strengths too.

I THINK the reason for the high alt was due to jg3 squad ops. no big deal really. as much as i like my "in the weeds" low alt fights, those up around 20k can be massively fun too.

i did much better in the hurricane, and with some tips from dot, i was managing to score better hits too.
all in all, a great fun night. i give it a :aok :aok out of :aok :aok :devil

actually, i was picturing dot as banging his head on the keyboard last night, as he was trying to diffuse the lw banter.
one of those guys kept trying to target me, and almost always got quiet when given facts.....the other guy kept trying to target me too.......but his i almost think he was really just messing around....not sure though.
and i shuold have done this in the OP.......but a big <<S>> to rammey for a couple of incredibly FUN fights.

IMO, the purer and more interesting fight is the Spit I vs Emil. Only the 2-dimensional dweebs that need to fall back on flat turning squirm their way into a Hurri I in a BoB setup. Only thing worse than them are the guys that fly the 110c in that setup.

i tried to fly the spit early on. i just couldn't seem to hit anything with it.....................and couldn't turn the dam thing for my life.
i flew the hurri, and was able to hit with it, and turn.....i tended to use a lot of vertical though, as that's how i fight.....and i don't mean bnz, but rather vertical turning.......she does fairly nice in the vertical as long as you're on top of things, and use plenty of rudder to control her.
i saw a pretty even mixture of spits and hurricanes......but only saw one 110, flown by shifty.
i was very amazed at how those 109's turned........it seemed like they turned on a dime, and gave back 9 cents change....... :noid

dam......coulda sworn that i saw your name next to 110 in the film......could've been wrong though, as i had film running for around an hour, and was trying to trim it down to the parts with the good fights.........

No could've about it. I haven't flown the 110. Not that I wouldn't I'm just taking every chance I can to fly 109s and I don't get a lot of chances to fly lately. No worries man. Besides making inaccurate accusations with conviction seems to be the norm for this thread starting with the second post. ;)

From the posts here, sounds like some people are trying to grow up a bit...maybe there's hope for the future after all.
I'm giving TheBug the benefit of the doubt with all the "ImaDolt" references that it's all in jest. But I start to wonder, when all I seem to hear on range channel and read in text buffer is squeaking and complaining about one thing or another. Meh, it's a game and I enjoy watching the nightly episodes of the ongoing soap opera that's called the AvA. And you need to try lots harder to offend or upset me...

i prefer fighting in it.....but i did feel for you last night. seemed as if you were talking to the wall. the jg doods were a little quieter about it though.

Now you state everyone was spewing and it really shouldn't matter. Yet in your original post you called out JG-3 publically in here as if we were the ones doing it and the reason behind it. We had one guy involved who along with others not in our squad which included yourself getting involved in the channel 1 funfest. The rest of us in JG-3 were minding our own business flying.
Someone needs to be the bigger man and just start letting things go without responding.
I returned later in the evening the arena was fine people were flying and getting along. Out of the blue you splattered the same thing you posted here on channel 1 about JG-3. Even Rammey responded JG-3 is okay and stated his problem was with one member. Was this an effort on your part to better the arena? It looked like an attempt to just get more trouble and bad feelings started. Is this what you mean by being the bigger man? You should follow your own advice sometimes, especially when you're so fond of giving it.

I didn't call out any squad by name, but described them well enough to be recognized. I said I didn't know who started it, and it shouldn't matter. I also didn't say the squad was the reason behind it...it just seems (as you correctly stated) that a small few - one maybe - appear to be a catalyst for such exchanges of spew, whether or not they actually start it or are just being a willing participant.

My only problem with JG-3 is the same problem I have with most who fly in LW - having to climb to 15-20k just to have a chance at being co-alt coming to the fight. I realize that's what most LW era planes were built to do. But this being a game, I just don't like having spend the time to climb that high and would rather get to a fight quicker, so try to stay below 10k. I guess that's also why I like to fly TnB type planes instead of BnZ type planes, because they generally perform better at those altitudes.

Get over yourself, you're not that good. Almost any time I've fought you it has been equal or to your advantage. On top of the fact you need the dweeby ride most times. Flaunt your love the of Hurri I, it may have some standing in the LW but in the AvA it marks you as limited.

I was the only one from my squad most of the time. As soon as i logged in the text buffer was full of Rammy trash talk.

this thread is deteriorating pretty quickly. it wasn't supposed to. it was to talk about the good fights we have in there. you guys are once again, just feeding the trolls.
some screens froma very good fight with rammey. his squaddies were within 5k of us for the entire fight, and neither one of them, nor the other axis doods near us interfered. this leads me to believe he asked them all to stay out of this fight, which i felt i was doing pretty good in, right up till the back half of my hurricane came off. :devil
i should also note, that he did throw me a salute after this fight, and after the one following, in which i killed him and hoey.........

Me too... What I saw last night was disgraceful and typical we never had these issues before "they" arrived.
