i wish there was a way to make your own planes for offline it sounds dweebish so im not going to wishlist yet any one think its a good idea
-
Just skins or actual, different planes?
I imagine you could buy the modeling software. I hear it's $$$.
Or, program your own sim. Two birds with one stone.
IIRC, you can put different skins in offline. It's just a matter of naming it correctly.

ya the planes like you could make your own plane ww2 of course and if u got your stuff correct you send it to HTC for aprovel and if its good they put a vote up for it for the MA you can do it with skins so why not planes plus it would take a lot of work off HTC
EDIT:and if your plane gets the voted to go to the MA the player who did all the work gets like 5000 perks too each class fighter bomber GV

NO
In order for the aircraft to be in AH it had to be in squadron service and sow action in WWII. Since the aircraft your talking about did neither (not to mention it never existed) it will never be in MA.
And why would you want to spend a whole bunch of time working to build an aircraft that only you can use offline?

If they allowed customizable skins, there would be a bunch of dudes flying Spitfires with penii painted down the sides of their aircraft.
I'd have a B-29 with the same graphic.

I don't think he is talking about skins, but the actual aircraft.

Only f4skins...

Ahhhh roger, I see what's up.
I'm sure HTC would love to let us all have the source codes.
As long as we knew how they coded the flight model, we could do anything. Right?
Someone will be along shortly... :ahand

was i talking about one aircraft no. i was talking about sending your aircraft to HTC but it has to be in squadern strength and it has to be how it was in ww2 i thought it would be alot less stuff for HTC to do

I offered to sponsor the develpment of an airplane ($) and was politely declined. So, I would say with a degree of certainity that they have a plan and a tempo. :salute

You do realize of course that my ingame ID is Crusader, yes?
EDIT: The other Dirtdart and I were in the 325AIR/82ABN DIV at the same time (1995ish) so, somehow I don't think he is a squeaker either.

And it was for the 109K6....the luftberry that I am.
-
the modeling of it would be insane, ive done a bit of 3D modeling,,,,wow....talk about time consuming and a PITA and thats just the start........
-
But if the right people in our community did have access to the proper tools, you can bet planes like the Beau, accurately modeled, would already be submitted to HTC for review as a finished product...

yes i bet ppl would do it for insane perks if your plane is right
-
What? No.
-
I'm all for the whole idea of folks volunteering to make the 3d models in order to help out, but there are so many other things that make the plane (Flight characteristics, etc) that it would only be a slight help. And a big -1 to the bonus perks incentive, map and skin makers don't get perks either.

I thought this would be nice. A lot of us have IT experience and participate in one way or another.
HTC could tap into that resource by publishing a specification of what a 3D model should satisfy in order to be considered for the game.
Now, they could hold competitions on submissions and choose models that make it into the game based on usability / how well the model was made.
Thoughts?

I use blender to model usually its weapons or creatures, mostly just fiddlin around lol I had over a hundred hours on an axe, a friggin double bladed axe...... I can only inagine what a n intire plane must be, I actully thought about doing a P40, but never started it. once I started the painting process...thats to get the creature to move, wow worse then the modeling itself lol, its a very serious PITA I give major kudos to the HTC staff.
