I don't guess its a secret that the Alpha is out and people are playing it. If anyone is looking for someone to join up on a server just let me know. I go by Coachwill on Origin.

BF3 will destroy COD, it beat COD at every award, it looks absolutely amazing, I have gotten my email for beta, but didnt get in for Alpha :( I cant even explain how excited I am for BF3 release, ive had it pre ordered since febuary. I have every BF ever made, and LUV them :)
The main thing I like the most about BF is the aspect of TEAMWORK, a lot of shooters today ONE person can win the game (such as COD), but in BF one person cant win, you have to work together, theres no auto aim, so requires better skill. I am personally A very good sniper, I love the aspect of bullet drop, and how much realistic BF is, I love blowing peoples heads off when their running and on other side of map. Ive gotten accused of hacks a few times.
I joined this game late, all kills with SV98, and all were done at 600-1,000 meters on arica harbor
I know my Camera sucks lol

SV98, nice choice. Best gun in the game imho. Just started playing BFBC2 at the start of summer cause it was dirt cheap. Already have gold star 1 on every gun :D.

Redman, different people like different things. I have both Battlefield 2 and Black Ops and like them both, but if I had to pick one it would be Black Ops by far. Battlefield has much MUCH larger maps. I enjoy sniping on that game with the M95 from the back of the map, but rushing sucks. (BTW, the no sway on snipers in BF2 makes it very easy as compared to BO sniping) You have to run for 2 minutes just to get in a battle. Then, you get a couple kills, get killed, and have to make the trek all over again. CoD is much more fast-paced, and with what I've heard, MW3 will be more focused on gun-on-gun battles instead of killstreaks and air support. As for teamwork, it is essential if you want to win in CoD. I play with a party on public matches and we're making call-outs and using strategy non-stop throughout the game.

No idea what your talking about....it takes me about 30 seconds to get into a fire fight....and I end games with over 50-60 kills when I play assault kit....and you dont have to make the trek all over again...thats the point of taking flags.... /facepalm. COD Is to easy, thats my point, the entire game is point and shoot. Gun damage is SUPER unrealistic, kick is total BS, shotguns have like 10 yard range in COD, in BF its like a REAL shotgun....COD is over with, seems like every one made is the same thing, just different maps and different guns....most have the same guns...And you say BF isnt fast paced? lol, dude idk what game type your playing, but BFBC2 is very fast paced. Also, it is much harder to snipe in BF, expecially when your firing close to 1,000+ meters....there's no auto aim or quick scoping like in COD as well...

There is no teamwork needed in cod. One guy gets hot and calls in a nuke, game over. In battlefield, you have to coordinate tactics and take on a common objective if you want to succeed.

EXACTLY, that is why I like BF more, you have to work together, you have to work as a team. Back when I played COD, I would go 64-2 in a TDM, I won the dang game lol. I like the teamwork aspect, it makes it more fun.

In my experience, Battlefield 2 is not fast paced at all. I play Rush with the bombsights so if it's completely different in the one other game type, I apologise. Your statement about going 64-2 in TDM is completely accurate. However, play Demo or Dom, and you can't win it by yourself. Wildcat, no nuke in Black Ops nor will there be in MW3. Another thing, BF2 doesn't even have TDM so don't use that as an example to discount my point about teamwork. Again, in my experience, you don't have to work as a team at all in BF2 to win. In fact, its very rare to see people communicating to each other. It's just like Black Ops in the way that it's a team of lone wolfs. One person plants, the other people on the team see A bomb has been planted so they rush over there. Black Ops Demolition is identical.

Are you talking about BF2....or BFBC2...lol because BFBC2 you HAVE TO work as a team....

I'm talking about BC2. One lone wolf plants, the rest of the lone wolfs hound the bomb, rinse and repeat. That's the only kind of teamwork I've ever witnessed in BC2.

Try playing TDM.....or other games, or your playing Xbox, which means your playing with mostly stupid kids lol.

And that's supposed to mean? I do play TDM a bit, but I mainly play domination with a party and we use teamwork to win games against other parties or whoever we may be facing. TDM, I'll admit takes no teamwork, but that's moot seeing as BC2 doesn't even have that game type.

if by TDM you mean "team death match" then yes, bc2 DOES have it. they just call it "squad death match". wich imo, i prefer more.

comon you can't use the terms real and guns and bf in the same paragraph :D

Yes it does, squad death match. But anyways rush is great because its objective-based. You don't win battles in real life by having a few good killers getting hot, the whole side needs to accomplish their objectives.
IMO, cod is great for its target audience: entry-level shooters looking for a fast-paced, cartoonish shoot-em-up. Battlefield, on the other hand, is targeted towards those who appreciate realism.
-
Anyway back on track. The Alpha for BF3 is one multiplayer Rush map and it's pretty hard to stop the other team as the defenders unless you setup fields of fire and have a few guys roving to shut down edge map runners. The bullet drop is pretty mean right now while they are tweaking things and getting used to the sights and scopes which are great.
AND if a sniper isn't careful they give away positions with lens flashes from light sources. But the best part is PRONE. That makes ambushes great when you have a food team.
-
I apologise about squad death match. I've honestly only heard of Rush and Conquest. How does it differ from TDM? Does is require teamwork? And if so, in what way that differentiates it from TDM?

Domination, Demolition, Headquarters, Capture the Flag, and Search and Destroy are all objective based game types in Black Ops. You don't win these game types with kills, it's as simple as that. In fact, our team always has designated objective players who's whole mission in life is to capture the objectives. What makes you think that Black Ops doesn't require people to play the objective? And also, what feature or characteristic of BFBC2 forces the team to accomplish their objectives? When you don't play with a team, you play with a group of randoms that might or might not go for the objective. There is really not much communication on many Black Ops lobbies, much less any BC2 lobbies. To sum it up, I just don't get the argument that BC2 forces you play the objectives and requires anymore teamwork than Black Ops does.
-
Another thing is the respective realism of both BFBC2 and Black Ops. Neither are very realistic depictions of war, so please don't use that as an argument either.

Only teamwork in headquarters, demolition, and domination is when a team spawn traps. which is usually all that happens. and SnD becomes nothing but ghost famas campers. there is little to no teamwork in cod, lets not kid ourselves otherwise.

A side point, but spawn trapping in HQ is impossible. If you play with a party, there is plenty of teamwork. Callouts, loadouts and killstreaks that complement each other; there is plenty of teamwork if you utilize it. If you play with randoms in either game, there is little to no teamwork.

The great thing about BFBC2 though, is that if someone is camping, you just blow the entire damn building up lol :rock

I do love the whole blow up everything in your path aspect of BF. On the topic of BF3, I just watched some "leaked" alpha gameplay and it looks fantastic. I'll definately try to get MW3 when it comes out and that at Christmas. :aok
-
When I used to play the BF series, I loved the fact that you needed to work as a team to win. The only problem was, no one ever worked together.
Question for anyone playing BF3. Has EA fixed their super bugged servers? Or is it still the same glitchy lag that has plagued every BF game?

I have been playing BFBC2 since release and idk what you mean by "bugged servers"?....Never had one problem with it.

When bc2 came out, some servers had a lag problem where you could shoot someone, but half your bullets would register hits due to the lag.
As far as i know its been fixed.

About 2 weeks into its release, the Xbox Live server had to be fixed because it was simply overwhelmed by new players. Ever since then I've had no serious lag issues that weren't related to my internet connection

Lol, so much for Xbox live being "better" haha. Um yeah the reason BF runs better is because they are not run off other peoples systems, EA uses THEIR servers. So less lag.

Yeah but it was down maybe half a day. Matter of preference I don't use my computer often for games like battlefield. The new one I might though, the graphics I have heard are going to be significantly different than the console.

anytime someone comments on a new game being released, the same ol people turn it into a console vrs console war, BFBC3 on PC is the only way to play the game, granted not eveyone has super computers to enjoy all the eye candy that BFBC3 will have, but the ones that do the game is going to be a blast to play.

Once I save up the money to build a superb gaming computer, I am so getting BF3 for PC. 64 player online is really awesome. For now, I have my Xbox which is great, has all the same features as the PC version minus 64 player matches.

One person PNG'd and another suspended. Folks, if you are not here to discuss the game the topic is about, then you need to move along. Read rule #4, and think before you type.

Console's will have smaller player numbers and smaller maps, grafics will still be good but nothing like a PC can render. In an article i read Dice’s Johan Andersson stated we always do 30 fps on consoles, not possible to fit in vehicles, fx, scale and all players into a console platform. the PC version will be crisper, more players and bigger maps. to me that equals a win for the PC version

Well as far as I know I wasn't trolling.

After hours of researching on my PS3 and xbox. I have found a winner......PC!
