Anyway back on track. The Alpha for BF3 is one multiplayer Rush map and it's pretty hard to stop the other team as the defenders unless you setup fields of fire and have a few guys roving to shut down edge map runners. The bullet drop is pretty mean right now while they are tweaking things and getting used to the sights and scopes which are great.

AND if a sniper isn't careful they give away positions with lens flashes from light sources. But the best part is PRONE.  That makes ambushes great when you have a food team.

I apologise about squad death match. I've honestly only heard of Rush and Conquest. How does it differ from TDM? Does is require teamwork? And if so, in what way that differentiates it from TDM?

But anyways rush is great because its objective-based. You don't win battles in real life by having a few good killers getting hot, the whole side needs to accomplish their objectives.

Domination, Demolition, Headquarters, Capture the Flag, and Search and Destroy are all objective based game types in Black Ops. You don't win these game types with kills, it's as simple as that. In fact, our team always has designated objective players who's whole mission in life is to capture the objectives. What makes you think that Black Ops doesn't require people to play the objective? And also, what feature or characteristic of BFBC2 forces the team to accomplish their objectives? When you don't play with a team, you play with a group of randoms that might or might not go for the objective. There is really not much communication on many Black Ops lobbies, much less any BC2 lobbies. To sum it up, I just don't get the argument that BC2 forces you play the objectives and requires anymore teamwork than Black Ops does.

Another thing is the respective realism of both BFBC2 and Black Ops. Neither are very realistic depictions of war, so please don't use that as an argument either.

Only teamwork in headquarters, demolition, and domination is when a team spawn traps. which is usually all that happens. and SnD becomes nothing but ghost famas campers. there is little to no teamwork in cod, lets not kid ourselves otherwise.

A side point, but spawn trapping in HQ is impossible. If you play with a party, there is plenty of teamwork. Callouts, loadouts and killstreaks that complement each other; there is plenty of teamwork if you utilize it. If you play with randoms in either game, there is little to no teamwork.

The great thing about BFBC2 though, is that if someone is camping, you just blow the entire damn building up lol   :rock

I do love the whole blow up everything in your path aspect of BF. On the topic of BF3, I just watched some "leaked" alpha gameplay and it looks fantastic.  I'll definately try to get MW3 when it comes out and that at Christmas.  :aok

When I used to play the BF series, I loved the fact that you needed to work as a team to win. The only problem was, no one ever worked together.

Question for anyone playing BF3. Has EA fixed their super bugged servers? Or is it still the same glitchy lag that has plagued every BF game?

When bc2 came out, some servers had a lag problem where you could shoot someone, but half your bullets would register hits due to the lag.

As far as i know its been fixed.

About 2 weeks into its release, the Xbox Live server had to be fixed because it was simply overwhelmed by new players. Ever since then I've had no serious lag issues that weren't related to my internet connection

Lol, so much for Xbox live being "better" haha. Um yeah the reason BF runs better is because they are not run off other peoples systems, EA uses THEIR servers. So less lag.

Yeah but it was down maybe half a day. Matter of preference I don't use my computer often for games like battlefield. The new one I might though, the graphics I have heard are going to be significantly different than the console.
