lost a tiger II tonight to a jeep that drove inside my tank and killed it in seconds.
this is an old bug I thought was fixed. apparently a certain squeeker is hard at work using this exploit for their amusement.

yea i lost one the other night due too the same reason they should not be able to do that i also posted about it no responce yet

:O :O :O IF I WERE ONLINE...
I can assure you that I would not be using this bug to my advantage when droppings friendly supps... :D

What piece of the armor can a .50 defeat, even on the inside shhoting out? Are the armor values only on the exterior...
I had the same thing happen to me while in a t34. No gun to defend yourself, no HE (I am tank fighting), and in some trees, so hard to get away. I hate to think that HTC is cool with this. It is the apex of silly.

You can kill the tank driver, or commander, or just shoot thge fuel tank from the inside...
:D

.50 caliber round is physicly incapable of defeating any piece of armor on the King Tiger. Its an old bug thats been here since dirt, and has recently resurfaced.

I fear you underestimate the power of the jeep :)

The commander or the driver, I think not my friend. If that were the case guys would be dying wholesale when strafed by planes in commander mode. I had whats his face drive inside of my tank and kill me the other night. I was immersed in a great tank on tank fight and did not hear him slide up. Like I said earlier, I understand why GV collisions are turned off. When guys exploit these things, I do equal it to cheating. Since it is merely gaming the game to these kids, maybe there can be a fix? I don't know if the juice is worth the squeeze from HTCs point of view. It could be a pretty complicated undertaking.

That jeep driver will soon know the power of rust.

Very true. Salt water pwns metal.

Put about a gallon of mineral spirits in a bucket. Throw in about a 1lb ground up paraffin and mix it with the mineral spirits.
It will take a few weeks to dissolve on its own, or you can use a cheap aquarium heater to heat the solution up to dissolve the wax. Once the wax is dissolved you add about a quart of light non-detergent oil like SAE 30.
The way it works is the wax and oil stay in solution (mineral spirits) which makes it easy to spray in every nook and cranny. Once sprayed the mineral spirits evaporates and leaves a oily/waxy covering over the surface.
If you scratch the wax, the oil from the wax around it will creep into the crack and protect it.
I've sprayed this on the underside of just about every vehicle I've owned.
So far, it seems to work well. We get some fairly snowy winters around here and they always overkill on the salt/brine. I also go to the Jersey shore where it is possible to drive on some of the beaches to fish (mostly Brigantine). I have not had rust problems more than the usual over the years.
From what I understand the recipe has been around for a long time and is regarded as homemade waxoyl.
Then again, I don't normally make a habit of driving directly in the salt water. I was parked there for a while as the tide was on it's way in. Wife took the pic before we left :aok

And the train comes off the tracks....well done.

Meh, all that needed to be said is in the OP. I'd like to see more VonMessa jeep pics. :aok

1. The bandwagon should be longer.
2. Pictures of jeeps are OK, but not having Messa's ugly mug would be better.
3. A 69 Bronco with a 302 and a tarp for a roof is cooler.

I think I get the issue why it's not just as simple as turning on collisions. With aircraft, they're both moving, and by the Hitech comment I saw the other day, when they take damage, they still pass through each other, but due to the damage their trajectories alter in wildly unpredictable ways. This means they collide, pass through one another, the damage gets done, and they part ways as they fall to earth.
With GVs on the ground, they would pass through each other and take the damage, and now you've got two GVs stacked inside one another because they've got no place to fall to.
It would seem to me that if this is the reason why, the equitable solution would be to just have both of them explode. Not quite realistic, but if you didn't do it that way you'd have people running around constantly trying to drive over people in their Tigers. Also, frankly if you collide with another tank, you done messed up anyways and deserve the death.

This thread is short on beer and logic.

Think about this one again.
People are complaining about jeeps driving inside and shooting and the solution is a jeep hits you and you both blow up?
You got the collision problem right:
Think how lag factors into this, when you detect a collision you stop like with a tree. So does other guy, except you both saw each other after the fact, so you stop inside each other. Now what happens since you are still colliding.
Think about speeds lags and such, and then you will start to see the essence of the problem. And hence why it is not the same as colliding with an object that does not move.

Since it might , in reality, be a while before I actually need to change the engine (will possibly hit the 50k mark by the end of today's travels) I am all ears.
That is double factory HP :rock
