Hi,
Does anyone still have those old furballing and TnB films of Blue Knights, all of the links I got searching are dead.
Would appreciate if anyone would reupload them somewhere.
-
Croduh, I've got a bunch of my old films lying around. I'll put them up on Mediafire when I get home tonight if someone doesn't beat me to it. I don't have any other more general BK films floating around, but some folks out there might.
-
Here's (http://www.mediafire.com/?3xogsatxb4xf7wz) a bunch of my old films. I'll see if I can dig up some films from other BKs like Drex. Most of those are probably incompatible.
-
Oh boy, these are the exact ones i was looking for!
Thank you so much!
I recommend these movies to anyone, it will really help you play the game if you study these films a bit.

I've never seen any of Drexs films. Would be cool to see some. I hope you can find them and they'll play.

I unfortunately lost most of my old films when I broke down my old computer a year ago. I hadn't thought to offload the older films at that time. I asked Drex if he had any lying around, so I'll let you know if he's got any he can find.

Thanks Lev

I talked to Drex, and he said that he didn't keep any of his old films. The last hope there is that someone collected them and held onto them over the years. I'll keep asking around in the Blue Knights forum, but the folks who might have those sorts of films aren't very active anymore.

I have 7 films of Drex, but they are almost a decade old and no longer play in the latest film viewer. If anyone has an old version of AH or knows how to get old films to work then I can post them somewhere.
-
Greetings :)
Have AH 1 (Classic) would Drex's films come through with no problems?

These were all on my hard drive in an ancient folder called "drex". I assume they were all in the right spot :)
-
Nice! If you guys have a link to an older version of Aces High (AH 1) that can run these films, please post it here so that folks can use it to view them.
Thanks!

Can AH I and AH II live side by side? No shared registry keys or anything? I can no longer watch at least half of my film collection anymore. :(

To my knowledge, AH doesn't use the registry at all. I've copied entire installations of it from one computer to another via LAN and had no issues. The only thing I can think of that might be an issue is if it defaults to the old film viewer for .AHF files, but that's easy enough to work around.

Bravo Gryffin  Cheers to u for posting the d/l url :aok I downloaded the films, & am happy to announce that 5 of 7 work flawlessly, only 2 (drexvsfew_01 & drexvsfew_02) crashed!
The films are most enjoyable, especially in piloting the A20 & JU88, people like Leviathan,
Drex & NathBP make it look so easy, a pleasure to watch & learn. TY.
Regarding the downloading of AH1, as long as u rename it as, par example: Hitechcreations_1, u'd be able to watch/play AH1 & AH2 without mix up.
I don't know HOW to UPLOAD things to BBS , however, access Google & search for ah1114.exe, be careful of the sites as u are liable to d/l some unwelcome viruses.

Being very unskilled in the ways of programs, any chance someone could convert these to Youtube or AHII film viewer? Even if I could find my way into the rat maze, even less likely I could find my way out.

We have one registry entry and it is primarily for the auto-updater to use so it knows where the game is installed.
You can have multiple installations of Aces High, but the last one used will be the one the auto-updater tries to patch as the registry link is updated each time you run the game. Had to do that because Windows restore points wipe out the link when you do a rollback.

Download is easy boo

worked fine for me.

Pervert, I clicked on the download and after a bit it began to update my Aces High so I cancelled the download. Did I do something wrong?

 it should just download that version of aces high? worked for me? :headscratch:

Very likely right. I worry that it will corrupt my operating version of Aces High. Does it create a completely seperate Aces High with its own launch icon, etc?

Greetings mthrockmor
Create ur own NEW folder titled "Hitechcreations_A" or "HHitechcreations" ("not to be included in title), thereby ur C drive will have a new addition par exampe:
C:\Hitechcreations_A
Download ah1114.exe into the newly created file folder, unzip or use rar as the situation calls for, then follow instructions till completion. This way ur current Aces High II is NOT
going to be updated with outdated info.
