Older films
« on: February 03, 2012, 12:45:17 PM »
Hi,

Does anyone still have those old furballing and TnB films of Blue Knights, all of the links I got searching are dead.
Would appreciate if anyone would reupload them somewhere.

Croduh, I've got a bunch of my old films lying around.  I'll put them up on Mediafire when I get home tonight if someone doesn't beat me to it. I don't have any other more general BK films floating around, but some folks out there might.

Here's a bunch of my old films.  I'll see if I can dig up some films from other BKs like Drex.  Most of those are probably incompatible.

I've never seen any of Drexs films. Would be cool to see some. I hope you can find them and they'll play.

I unfortunately lost most of my old films when I broke down my old computer a year ago.  I hadn't thought to offload the older films at that time.  I asked Drex if he had any lying around, so I'll let you know if he's got any he can find.

I talked to Drex, and he said that he didn't keep any of his old films.  The last hope there is that someone collected them and held onto them over the years.  I'll keep asking around in the Blue Knights forum, but the folks who might have those sorts of films aren't very active anymore.

I have 7 films of Drex, but they are almost a decade old and no longer play in the latest film viewer. If anyone has an old version of AH or knows how to get old films to work then I can post them somewhere.

Let me know if this works:

These were all on my hard drive in an ancient folder called "drex". I assume they were all in the right spot :)

Nice!  If you guys have a link to an older version of Aces High (AH 1) that can run these films, please post it here so that folks can use it to view them.

Thanks!

Can AH I and AH II live side by side? No shared registry keys or anything? I can no longer watch at least half of my film collection anymore. :(

To my knowledge, AH doesn't use the registry at all.  I've copied entire installations of it from one computer to another via LAN and had no issues.  The only thing I can think of that might be an issue is if it defaults to the old film viewer for .AHF files, but that's easy enough to work around.
