Why?
I thought it was definetley not good; not enough CVs, bugy and gamey vehicle spawns, 10k canyons and 20k mountains to encourage plenty of spontaneous action across the fronts, a neglected ignored and overlooked tank town and assets in the center middle, overlapping towns on bases, absence of shore batteries for costal defense of bases, wide spread of air bases...
Why? You makes no sence.
The (large) map is roughly 33% water, yet each side only gets 4 CVs, 2 for each front and with starting postitions (at closest) 8-setors away. The few and far sea battles are maybe only awesome because the 10k canyons and 20k mountains on the starting front lines are so conducive to plenty of spontaneous action on the fronts or lack tehre of? I assure you, it is not from it's generous supply of CVs for sea battles and engagements, although I agree with you that when they do finaly arrive the action is best to be had on the map.
Land battels are a joke on trinity. The towns overlap many bases, necesitating deacking and often flattening all hangars before base capture is possible. Many bases do not have dynamic vehicle spawns available, in that after defending they can go offencive. Of the few dynamic spawns, and especialy along the front lines, there are gamey and unrealistic spawns that for the most part shouldnt be in the MAs (they also only exist on two of the three fronts, and they are unbalanced - both valid reasons to not be in the MA.). If instant tank action is wanted, there are bases for it inthe DA. If gamey spawns so tank duels across a canyone and fron two mountains is desired - go make a custom terrain and host a private arena. The MAs are for MA gameplay.
Air battles... until you break through teh fronts along the 20k mountain ranges and 10k canyons, are few and far between compared to many other maps available in the rotation. The few choices at the onset funnels most air combat into specific and confined areas... a waste for such a large map, really limiting player's choices, and mostly causing a concentration that many (especialy this weekend!) voice much disdain over in the MAs. If you don't like feeling constrained and limited in what options you can make - don't look to Trinity.

I've heard whines, nothing legitimate or of substinance. The rare and few that go more than 7-8 words deep in responce I find are wrong or.... well, wrong.
Trinity was bad, mkay.

I don't mind it once the fronts have been broken through.
Just the balance of some of the fields leave the southern or northern team getting double teamed with little chance of re-capturing them.
I think a quick rework of the fronts / middle and it would be the best map of all.

The only reason I really liked Trinity was due to the fact that it wasn't easy for the factories to be pushed back, meaning I could up to hit them without having to deal with 163's so quickly. There are some other maps that do somewhat offer that, but the factories were easy to push back. On Trinity, there was a little effort required to do so. I'd like to see Trinity brought back, but maybe lowering those mountains would work? The only mountains that should stay 30+k are the ones surrounding the TT there. I would have to agree that 3 cv's per coastal edge would be better as well.
Either way, I would have to agree that a little rework for it is in order. :aok

People (some people) say Trinity is a bad map. If you want to look at bad maps, look at the round (pizza) map and the square map. Every bodies different. We all like different maps, but I see a great percentage wanting it back. It's not like we are going to have it all the time.

BTW, if it is brought back, adjust the starting positions in TT such that 2 of the 3 counties have only the "corner" base (if you understand what I am saying). The result of this configuration, which only occasionally occured due to base captures, was that you always had a spawn point near an enemy base. In turn, that meant that once anyone spawned to TT, you immediately got a flashing base, thus immediately attracting GV opponents.
BTW, if it is brought back, keep the high mountains. It was nice to have at least one map which forced combat at high altitudes. We don't usually see the real-world motivator for high-altitude combat (escorted long-range bomber missions), due to the fact that most people don't have the playing time to invest in that sort of thing. So the Trinity mechanism is in my opinion better than nothing for motivating high-alt fights.

Bring back Trinity please. Maybe add one base each country on say a 15k alt mountain. That would give bombers something and also make for interesting fights trying to capture them. GV fights were the best on Trinity, both at v135 and the area of v28. Keep the mountains,(love those canyons) maybe add a captureable base in middle of Tank Town to make something flash.
Please bring trinity back.

Guaging by most posts about Trinity in the past 6-months prior to two-weeks ago - pitchforks, torches, and a lot of justifyable persistent discontent (including my fair share).
I may disagree, in fact many responces justify my belief than Trinity has no place in the MA for MA-style gameplay, but I respect and admire that the more recent responces have put some thought into it.
OK, but seriously, Trinity disqualified itself. It lacked three fair and evenly distributed base assets at start, its terrain was specificly designed to limit and be counterpoductive to spontaneous and free-style (sandbox) player participation, towns stacked ontop of fields/bases, a lack of many and dynamic V-spawns (ie: one-way, you couldn't go offensive with vehicles after toughing it out defencively), TT assets are in the center but most of the time they are uniquely ignored and underutillised.... it was an insult to players and maybe most of all to everyone who's ever submitted a better qualifying MA map, or at least that's what it comes off as when you have such a high degree for quality you hold every other map to.
Look at all the MA maps submitted that haven't qualified yet, what specifications their design has to be tailored to meet, yet somehow Trinity was tollerated (and for all this time).

I forgot Lusche's stats from August, it showed a lot of good data about Trinity (and the other maps too).
Trinity did it to itself. Whatever specific reason why (and when) any map is added to the rotation or pulled from it, only HTC knows.

The 135 fights were awesome,, as well as a-1. Maybe 135 could be simulated in the DA?

Trinity was tank fight galore. Iforget the other 2 bases that were on the southern front where gv's sometimes spawned on a hill 50k above the battle :rofl

Again this topic is on the BBS...... What really sucked about that map was it was ALWAYS the map in play. Trinity may have had some really good points, but it was a major HOG in the rotation, and in many ways a fun sucker, especially if you were looking to do other things besides tank spawn fights. It was a huge sigh of relief when it was taken out of rotation, and newer terrains were utilized more often.

Bring back Trinity. Had more high fights in Trinity then any other map.
