You heard wrong. It's the british that drink warm beer. And certain beers are indeed tasty when in room temperature.

And if you don't live near a beach...put a lot of sand paper on the ground. Sand box would be a second choice but look out for cat bombs.

Ive been drinking Bud and other Bud products for a long time and have not noticed.
If adding water just prior to bottling there would have to be a "sanitized water" line running to the holding tank. Should be easy enough to find.
Drink Heineken, be happy
I think I just threw up a little :neener:

Budweiser is not American, it is Belgian.
You had also better rephrase that statement. As I have yet to make a beer lacking in flavor :aok

Mmmmmm.
Suddenly drooling for a cask ale...

I never mentioned Budweiser I said American beer. As for Belgian fare Hoegaarden and Leffe are pretty damn good.
But a pint of Dorothy Goodbodies Summer Ale is pretty close to heaven :old:

I tried New Castle once. Eww. Dark beer is for funny accents like Zach :old:

The OP started the thread about Budweiser.
There are plenty of decent American beers, none of which come from the big brewing companies.
Dorothy Goodbodies sounds good, though. There are a lot of nuances in beer that are caused by the water used. Recently, the brewing recipe software has incorporated calculators of water from different parts of the world and tells a brewer the ingredients needed to add to your water to try to mimic the water from other parts of the world, such as Burton upon Trent if I wanted to make an authentic porter :aok

Newcastle Brown sends folk loopy. Two of them and everyone wants a fight, they even include a huge heavy bottle to use as a club.

Coors is the big site here, you can smell the hops from miles away, always makes you want a pint when you're on the way to work :frown:

My Brother made Ale in my kitchen.

Coors is OK when it it very hot and you want to drink a lot of beer, all day long, without getting too badly snookered.

Making your own ale IS good !!!
The beard is getting awesome-er by the day! I haven't shaved or cut my hair (the parts that still grow anyhow) in almost four months, but sadly, it has nothing to do with my beer geek-ness.
I have also stopped buying that stinky Irish baccy as it is poo and bites too much, regardless of how gently I pack it or which pipe I use. I have now switched to some proper English blends from Samuel Gawith and J.F. Germain. :aok

As homebrewers say "An UN-watched pot will always boil OVER!"

If beer was water, and I was a duck, I'd swim to the bottom, and never come up.
But, beer is not water, and I'm not a duck, so pass me a beer, and shut the fu#$ up.

Burton on Trent produces the best Pale Ales due to the salts in the water there - Marstons Pedigree being a prime example (in my opinion), for porters you want London water - very hard and more suited to the dark ales.
I've read your posts on brewing and like the setup you have there. I'm still on a 5 gallon brew length but ideally want a half brewers barrel - 18 gallons! Must clear out the garage.
