In the past week I've crashed 2 B-29s and got shot down twice in a 262 (once to a brewster).....

I wanted to play last weekend (in the early morning for me, which worked out as European prime time) but there were no fights :(

I flew for 45 minutes or so and the only red guys I found made 1 or 2 passes and then ran way, even though there were no other enemies for them, so I crashed into the ground and logged off

Then I came back again a few hours later and it was just as boring so I moaned to my squaddies about feeling like I should cancel my account and logged again

I still haven't canceled though because I love AH :cry

In the Philippine Phandango scenario, I was the Group Leader of 762 Kokutai, a torpedo-bombing squadron of Ki-67's.  I was leading a strike of five bomber formations (15 bombers) south from our takeoff base, searching for a US carrier group.

About 20 minutes out, in a moment purely of brain malfunction, I pressed my bomb release instead of the view key I had intended.  Thus, I dropped my one and only torpedo into the open sea with no enemy in sight, thusly:

Rather than continue with no ability to harm the enemy (since we still had to find the group let alone attack), I turned the group over to the 2nd in command and headed back toward base to get another torpedo.

However, on the initially clear way back, enemy fighter groups proceeded to patrol around between me and where I needed to go; and every time I changed my path to avoid them, they moved or more came in to block my way.  I did finally make it back to a base, but here is the path I took to do it:

Needless to say, it took me a while.

3 nights ago: Attacking a port in an F6F, I get involved in low alt turning 1v3.  My wireless internet connection goes haywire, all 3 cons warp around my aircraft making it impossible to track them accurately.  Then I warp into the ground.

2 nights ago:  Running for home in F6F with con on my long 6. Disco.  Relog. Dead.

Last night:  Involved in a low 1v3 in F6F, fight was actually going well (190, 51, single spit), I enter a low yo-yo and move my chair forward- arm of chair bumps the windows key on keyboard.  AH minimizes.  Immediately maximize...post-auger.

I have done that a couple of times.  I try to ctrl-d to check my damage, and I hit the windows key instead of the ctrl key.

When I was brand new to the game, I was in the middle of a big furball, when the cat comes walking across the computer desk in front of me.   I tried to ignore her, silly me.  She walked across the keyboard, and apparently stepped on the Enter key, and suddenly I'm outside the airplane.  Wheee!

FSO my entire squad is sitting on the rearm pad in B26s after a successful raid on an axis base. Screams start coming over local......262!  262!!!! Check it on the runway!!!!!! TOWER!!TOWER!!!!!

Not sure how many kills Filth landed that frame. But I know that hair dryer of his tore the hell outta most of us. I had a one way trip to the tower. (It was AWESOME!!)

Therapist says I should be back to normal after a few more hundred sessions.

I had just shot someone down in my 262 and turned to run down this fleeing P-38.  Range is closing, I don't think he even sees me on his tail, at 1K the dot is centered and I'm about to blow him out of the sky.

And then I realize I'm not on his tail but his nose.  I push to avoid the HO and get shot down.  Meh.

My 8 day old son spiked a fever last night in the hospital. Preliminary tests show it is meningitis. He was rushed out of my wife's recovery room and straight into the neonatal ICU. He will spend the next 10-14 days undergoing antibiotic treatment through an IV. Hopefully he doesn't suffer long term damage that is usually associated with meningitis in infants.  :cry

Biggest horror story would have to be when I had taken my Tiger II out to defend the base (and by that, I mean I intended to take a buddy of two with me, hit them in the flank, and roll them back to the spawn).

We had just smashed into their flank when we see the base had been captured. In our haste to counterattack, we had neglected to check to see if base ask was up. So we're caught between a spawn with a bunch of pissed off bad guys, and a base who's first hanger is about to pop. Now, this isn't open terrain, the base and spawn were nestled in between two fair sized hills. That means our only real way out was back over the base, with manned 17lbers.

How it ends: I poke me head out and pop the guns, since they could only tickle me at that range.

Hangers about to pop, I can't make it in time. So I cover the two Panthers with me as they flee. Once the get clear, I turn around again and trundle at the horde, determined to take as many of the lemmings with me as my 62ton carcass plummeted down to hell. Unnerved by my charge, some flee. Encouraged, I press on, miss an M4(75) hiding in a barn, and get popped in the flank.

Other night I was diving in my 262 (with the perks I saved up for) on what I thought was a Bish horde, however my thrustmaster hotas did something it never did before - jerked to hard..

I got a "moving controls to rapid" and I was diving down on a large base where buffs just upped.

Want to guess what happened to those 217 perks?
