Title: Report of the joint fighter conference
Post by: Vinkman on August 08, 2013, 01:35:31 PM
I bought this book but was dissapointed that lla the pilot reports of the Planes was edited out, and anly the minutes of the meetings was included. the book I bought was 356 pages or so, but the fullreport is over 1000 pages. I assume the missing pages are the pilots reports of the planes themselves.

Does anyone know how to get the full report?

Thanks.

I'd love to know how a Tigercat stacked up against a Bearcat in evaluations of dogfighting ability.

What's the single-engine job two to the left (as you look at the picture) of the C-47?

Looks like a SBC2 Helldiver.

Very cool pic btw, just like that pic from FG COs' meeting. More of these please. :)

That biplane looks a lot like UC-43 (if it's a biplane - hard to make out the top wing).

I believe that I read that the French didn't accept the Tigercat (postwar) because of the lack of rudder authority at low speed.
