Yes.
They are the one example I know of pilots turning off their engines in flight for reasons other than damage.

To add also most of the Pilots of these aircraft were women.

Actually only two prototypes of Tu-85 were build - they were based on Tu-4. The Tu-95 was favored over Tu-85:
