Thats the problem. I've been getting so many lately its rediculous. Last night I got one in my D9 from a 109 at 1000. Wasnt the rear of those things armored or something like that?

And I positively LOATH the way they are modeled. And thats being polite

This modified flight suit would cost too many perks to make it worthwhile (but by your avatar, you may be willing):

Hmmm, Is chaffing technically a self-induced pilot wound?

I believed that until sunday night.  I saw two of those bastards running down a street in town and one of them tripped on the curb and faceplanted.

Actually when I was in college and worked for the parks dept we switched from Deere mowers to twin engine Dixie choppers because they could run down gophers and the Deeres couldn't.

Gopher holes + youth ball fields = injured kids = lawsuits.  Plus the parents in that town were so sew happy that we didn't place those flags in the parks saying keep off the grass for 24 hours after spraying.  Because everyone would ignore them and we'd get phone calls blaming us for their kid's rash, cold/cough, skinned knee etc.

what would be cool would be a AH vox message like, "  Looks like you took on in the leg." on a pilot wound.

Maybe it's a sound package I DL'ed but my pilot makes some definite 'umphs' when hit.

Pilot wounds add nothing to the game especially when it doesn't effect your ability to manuever

Im sorry but Ill have to disagree with this, unless you can still move the ac while blacked out I always assumed it would maintain course while blacked out.

I think you're misunderstanding that... he means that it doesn't affect your ability to pull Gs while you are conscious. When you're blacked out, all control inputs are ignored.

You guys know this is a game right?  No body really gets hurt....

I am fine with how it works today...  Of course, I am okay with the collision model too...  :rock

yeah, like what kind of pilot wound would you have that makes you black out randomly but you can have the strength and state of mind to pull 8'gs, manuever, and have unhampered views?  sounds more like narcolepsy wound to me.

Well I have learned one useful thing from this thread. If a man in armour attacks you you should stab him in the arse.

Yes I know what that sounds like, don't even go there.  :uhoh
