Title: Aces High 15v15

Aces High with a WT setup would be the perfect game. With the new AI it wouldn't be hard to implement. If it could be guaranteed that every sortie I would run into a few red guys within a reasonable amount of time like I can in most other video games, it would make all the difference. Aces High MA runs at a slow pace, winning can take weeks. It would be nice to have a fast passed, instant action setup that involved some sort of objective.

Not for me though. Absolutely not. Aces High with more players in the main again would be  :P

No.

Almost all maps are won within one week, sometimes up to two in a day. Those that aren't (happens only with the 3 large terrains) are automatically terminated after 1 week.

I've played on the uterus map for weeks at a time.

I want some instant gratification, maps that last for a hour at the most. Once you achieve your objective, (kill all the tanks) you get a new map with a new objective.

Not in the past few years. The 7 day timer is automatic. It can only be broken if there's a host update at the end of the timer's limit, but even then usually it's being manually corrected after short time. And small maps (like Uterus) almost never ever even reach the 7 day limit at all. I keep logs about that  :)

what's the matter, haven't found a brony pal that likes the same cosplay characters you do? go enjoy wt...you will find a brony pal sooner or later.

no hate involved. simple honesty. i've considered the implications of ah emulating the gameplay model of wt from every angle possible. can't work, not just due to the game play problems but also not without major changes in the general population of ah that would not be good.

think about it, do you really want a massive influx of people like this?
 
Radar was priceless.
50 miles of water at the shortest distance, besides any distance inland.
The battle was over England, land so they had homefield advantage.
Luft fighters were mostly chained to the bombers.
Droptanks invented yet by either side.
And by some claims, Germany's code machine was already hacked. It had fewer wheels than uboats btw.

Any technological differeneces between spits and huris becomes negligible when compared to all of the listed advantages that both had over the luft, which were superior in in real life. Luft had all the aces even during this early battle.

that is the mental capacity of the wt majority...there enough of them here already and more are not needed.

The infrastructure is already is place, we just need some kind of matchmaking system.

 It would ensure I have something to shoot at. If i can't find a fight, whats the point of flying with hundreds of people? Gameplay is a issue, hop on off peak hours if you don't believe me.

I think something like this could work like a mission.  You join the mission and are automatically put into play, just like now.  The one area that I would like to see utilize this setup is some sort of high altitude combat.  I think it would be fun and interesting to have high altitude fights, but I don't find the current setup in the MA conducive to them, both because of the number of other players at alt and the time required to climb.  The only way I can think this would work is for everyone to air start at the same time some distance apart.  To avoid the current gv spawn point concept, everyone would need 1 life per round.  The map where this combat occurs doesn't have to be the same map in the MA.  I would like the option to join this round of combat available from the MA though.

then someone needs to do some legwork and get more people to play in those other countries...some of you guys just keep looking at the candy through the window rather than looking around inside to see the dirt attached to it. the "i want candy" mentality without thinking of the consequences is how you get the crap you will find over in wt and wowp.

I actually think that the game community almost FROWNS on even TWO players working closely together.
A designated match of 15 vs 15 would be a learning experience not otherwise found here in game.

Just a BASIC example of 2 vs 2, on the deck, about same E.

YOU DECIDE!!!
M and N vs X and Y.
M-> and N->       <-X <-Y
Then mix it up and then say, this situation happens:
M is behind X, and Y is behind N. Then X and N basically fly past each other, like a ho...
looks like this:
M-> X->   <-N <-Y
after passing it looks like this:
<-N  <-Y    M-> X->
You decide, should Y or M turn around and try to clear their wingy?
I bet both of the tailed planes N and X wish so!
In the Main Arena, both Y and M might prefer to get their kill first, believe it! <-- bad practice?
Standard proceedure during the war years was to clear or get kill first?

Things players only learn when flying in groups, which again, I think is frowned upon in the normal MA.

Could look at it as Groups also, same letters as above but say the letters are 4 planes each.

I think it should be more like 12 vs 12 though, groups of 4. So a commander of whole team (also in charge of one of the groups of 4), and then two subcommanders each in charge of the other two groups of 4.  Each group of 4 having two pairs of 2?
During the Battle of Britain, I though the Luft used had groups of 4 like that, where for England it was groups of 3?

I mean, for me, its only during FSO that I used to see formations anywhere anyways. Could fly around this game for years and not learn even how to wing correctly. Probably have someone on 200 upset if ya did show up 2planes flying together, let alone 12 or 15.

Yeah tho, any planes flying anywhere else takes away from the main arenea. It's why I'd like to see more mision applications and achievements.

Maybe have it like a waiting thing like with missions, if only 4 players then could launch as 2vs2, if 50 players then 25vs25?
By all means +1, wingy tactics learning experiences.

WT held my interest for a few months before I burned out on it and moved on. all it really has to offer is good instant action matches and beautiful graphics.

AH held my interest off and on for over a decade so aside from needing better graphics I am not certain wt has anything more than ah to offer.

yeah pretty isn't it? i guess knowing what's really happening doesn't matter...
there is a reason player numbers per session are limited and the minimum system requirements to run it in ugly graphics mode is higher than ah just so 30 people can play together.

i defend AH. this is my favorite game of all time! i will play it till i die or the game doesnt exist anymore!

im going to try WT though. awesome looking eye candy.... now if AH made something like that... :x my mind would explode...

you know what's even more rare? a firm grasp of reality...i don't defend ah, but i have been paying attention to what htc has said in the past and what i have seen/experienced in the other games. everything that would have to be changed/sacrificed in order to satisfy a few, would not be worth it to the majority.

World of Tanks is fun its got good graphics but you depend on everyone else to win a match unless your ables to get 8 kills a battle and that is unlikly Aces High you got control of your success and the biggest down fall to world of tanks for me is being able to buy your way through the game and buy gold rounds it takes away from the game. there is no learning curve. World of tanks is fun if your looking for some quick action to kill time. i have had 9 kills in WoT and still lost thats why i aint a supporter of it you gotta depend on 14 other poeple who may be there to actually win or 14 that dont care and just go afk or die in 30 secs and then your screwed. myself i like Aces high the way it is other then the graphics but you cant get everything you want i would rather deal with out the graphics and have a good game to play rather then have the eye candy and have a cluster F*** like WoT

I liked the desert maps. Why don't we have DESERT MAPS IN THE MA?  :frown:
We fly around Hawaii every day...

Best would be map with some of each: north side might have snow, middle green with forest (like we have), and southern desert? IN THE MAIN ARENA, please!

For the money we pay, I think AH has it all. They will eventually get the graphics up to par. My Lego plane is good enough for now.
