Has anyone ever wished they could man the town ack?
When a horde is in, it is extremely difficult to get a Wirb or M16 to the town for a defence. Usually a mute point however as the VH is almost always taken out first.
So, why not make town ack or at least certain guns in town able to be manned. How about some fixed quad 50 cal positions also? :salute

Yes, I think there should be a few manned acks and a couple of strategically placed 17lb positions in towns.

I'm thinking we should increase the wirble turret speed. Oh!! And add the ability to spawn a formation of them, with adjusting convergence, so that all streams converge on the target at all times, at no perk cost!
Anything to grief those stupid enough to fly within their range.

This is fine, but they should also get a ten mile icon range, and we should get laser guided munitions to more efficiently harvest tears from GVers.

I used to support town ack but I don't anymore. I think it should be removed. From the town, and something else be added in it's stead.
I agree that quad 50 cal positions would be nice to have for bases :)

you have a town for a place to have a battle at..
map room stays where it is.. keep town down % where it is.. rolling hordes would need to watch their newly captured bases until enough buildings popped, lest they be stolen right back.
It would take less people to take a base..
If people are as tired of hordes as they say they are, you make it easier to take bases, not harder. I guarantee the group sizes decrease, more bases change hands, more combat ensues, etc. etc.

They are still going to horde. It is just as much about the easy kills, the satisfaction of destroying a field so that there is no chance of defending, etc, as it is the easy "winz". With the right planning it takes a small team of coordinated players with near perfect timing, some cunning, and some precision, and a base can be taken with a hand full of guys. 30v1 horde? Or 4-6 attackers vs CHANCE number of defenders? ;)

A month or so ago myself and two other players took an airfield with 2 GV's and a fighter against an enemy fighter defending. It didn't take planning, near perfect timing or cunning. We all just happened to be there and kept coming back until we took it (2-3 sorties each).

I think that would be a good addition to town defense...2 or 4 quad 50's in town would be a good balance...

I think if you wanted a formation of werbs then they should be perked but a signal werb no

IMO town AI gguns should be .303 or .5 calibre fired from town buildings. Certain buildings would carry bespoke AI defenders..... I.e Church towers = .303 machine gun.... All 3 story buildings the equivalent of a pair of .303 riflemen ... a pair of .5 machine guns at the map room.
For player defence GV spawn points are sufficient.

so u just want to be able to just walk in and take the town at your leasure..would you also like for the town not to flash when a gv is in there--how about less building's to destroy....how about putting the town's even further away from the base's..come on kuvo your're a gv'er-you know how hard it is to get a gv to town under attack..it needs some sort of protection.

i agree,,if they only put 2 manned guns in town would be an improvement

I'm a gv'er? I can't even remember the last time I was in a tank. probably been years.
and no, you wouldn't just walk in and take the town, you'd still have to kill buildings.
the towns have protection. they're only a couple miles from the airfield.
the attacking tanks have to fight autoack in addition to whoever else shows to defend. I just think its better when people are fighting each other instead of AI.
