Trying to get 1 concrete warrior?
Tactics dictate a change of approach from the ground?
Gonna try from the air?
Why take the chance when as soon as you drop the bomb and he hears the bomb dropping, .ef pre-prepped in the text buffer instantly gets the concrete warrior away in a flash.
How many times are people going to get away with gaming the game to avoid losing that 1 insignificant life?
I suggest AcesHigh takes up a 5-10 second delay to every .ef or end sortie to GVs for the greater good.
:salute

So you never want to see the tiger 2 upped again? At 100 plus perks, no one will up one if they a guaranteed to lose it to a bomb****!
On the other hand, drop the hangers, then drop the bomb on him, he towers, no more tanks, TA DA !! Or shoot him from the side/rear with the very fast M-18 like I do!
-
I think the 10 second delay would good. I almost think it would be good to have HTC code a "successful" tower out in the gv hangers only, and anywhere else have it be %50 successful, meaning if you're a concrete lover and you tower out you're still going to lose perks.

sounds good, let apply that to every aircraft in game as well tho, only successful tower is in the hanger, plus a ten second delay!

Yup a generic delay on .ef for all rides is about right IMO.

Wouldn't be terrible. I really don't care about the GV game, but on a conceptual level I do think it's awfully silly to essentially be invincible as long as you stay on the concrete.
Wiley.

How about only the delay for when on concrete, but still let you land when off of concrete and no enemies within 6k. It would be a prohibitively long drive (or impossible, in some cases) to land on concrete when using a GV spawn.

What's the point of even having a perk cost for it, if you can guarantee that you will not lose those perks :headscratch:
I will never understand GVers I swear

perks make it rare, lots of perks make it almost never seen, this is good, no need to have everyone in a T2 but,,, if your at the base, defending it as a last ditch effort, the T2 is a great GV for that!
you don't see ME262s hiding on concrete, they have bases far away to land at so no need, you also don't see people upping them from a capped base to make a last ditch effort to defend either, the ability to use and land a tank or a plane needs to be at least equally balanced yet the two are very different in there use and in there ability to escape, a T2 has no escape other than to tower, on concrete before capture, or drive 5 k away from all enemies,( which it has no way of knowing if it is clear), planes can dog it, even a jeep can dog it till you give up or get bombed. limiting its ability to tower out will kill it all together for the most part since the cost is so high,, if it were cheaper, it might be different but then it might also mess up the balance between it and other GV's
the perk cost is simple, it costs a lot, so you don't see it out in the open much, since it outclasses all other tanks by a great margin, this is good!! but it costs so much that a player doesn't want to venture out very far with it for far of loosing may perks! still there is no guarantee you wont lose one, a sneaky M-18 will kill it in an instance givin the chance, concrete or not!!
-
This is rich! Really. A mudhen trying to squeeze out a kill he does not deserve!
I think it's fine the way it is, but there should be a HUGE delay for the guys that cut off their engine to drop bombs so the T2 doesn't hear them coming. If not delay then perhaps a 40% power loss on restart for the rest of the trip just for suggesting this nonsense.

Concrete warriors

Just apply this to Ostwinds and Wirbelwinds.
I don't care about the others.

Still haven't learned air-to-ground SA, Karnak :lol?

That is not an issue when they are sitting on concrete. I just want to be able to at least get kills on the AA batteries that cowards run to and then orbit within their protective shell.

I loved the ground war, when it was the panther/tiger people were not afraid to get off concrete and go out and have some fun. Tiger II and now Jagd Panther I rarely see them off concrete.
The current system needs to be revised, there is no fix to allow a super tank to sit on concrete, either you spend the perks and take a gamble or you don't.

I find it funny that a guy who wants to bomb tanks to drive up his score/rank with no threat to himself whines when one towers.
Either bomb the ones that aren't on concrete (still no threat to you) or take out the hangers and make them decide if they should take the risk of a falling bomb to possibly save their base.

If you think I am about score or rank you are sadly mistaken by a rather wide margin.
This is about effort and wasted time. GVs already have a decent amount of concessions;
The ability to spawn and not drive 25+ miles to target
Reduction in icon range
Further reduction of icon range when stopped
Bases with excellent ack coverage
Why should GVs be given a get out of jail free card after they have killed 20+ other tanks actually attacking?
Why should they drive up their score by risking absolutely nothing?
It's not fighting, it's nothing of the sort.
The bases have static guns for them to risk nothing in, why should they get a perk tank and take no risks?
There is no excuse for anyone to exploit the game in this manner. The dice are loaded and it's effectively a cheat.

I rarely fight in GV near any concrete and I don't spawn camp because I actively flank the spawn points and stalk them from behind while they move.
It's a lot more fun.

:rofl :rofl I love this, Cowards in a cartoon game !!!!! :rofl :rofl

When a Spit VIII is too timid to engage in an air-to-air fight with my Mossie VI I don't know what else to describe it as. He was slightly below me in a much superior fighter. He chose to dive to his AA vehicles and circle about 250ft above them rather than fight me.

All suggestions in this thread boil down to players wanting the rules changed to suit their play style over someone else's.
No change required.
-
Although I wouldn't consider ack hugging as playing. Its rather aggressively trying NOT to play.

:headscratch:
As already mentioned, we want to see the perked vehicles being used.

"High fidelity flight simulation is the heart of Aces High but it doesn't end there. A war rages on the ground and at sea. Engage enemy armor in tank combat. Protect your fleet as a gunner or make a torpedo run in a PT boat. Lead an assault in an amphibious vehicle. With over 100 warbirds, vehicles, and boats available, you have access to a vast virtual arsenal."
Sounds like Hitech planned for the gv's as well as the planes. You fight to kill your opponent and stay alive yourself. Sounds like all this whining is about not being able to kill your opponent, after all, hugging ack is staying alive, sitting on concrete is staying alive, gliding in with engine off is staying alive. Seems like everyone has to have an excuse now why they didn't or couldn't get the kill, it was obviously not their fault. :devil

I've been on both sides of this argument. The only difference is I never towered to avoid a kill, I always relocated or tried to dodge a bomb. As for shooting GVs on the concrete, I very rarely see Tigers or Panthers defending bases. It's usually the same ole Wirbles, Panzers, T34s, and Shermans--all of which can be killed with one well placed shot (meaning they die before they can tower). Now, since my return I haven't done as much GVing as I used to, so I still have a lot to learn. But I see no reasoning for a delay.

Have discovered that waiting for gv sitting on concrete to fire at another friendly is perfect time to drop bomb on it. Chances are much better it won't tower before bomb hits.

-
Somebody invent the 'whistler' - the bomb that when drops sounds to every GV like it is coming down right on their heads so that they tower out, but in fact does nothing but a little smoke puff.
-
Easier to drop the VH first then worry about the tanks
