Title: AI Gunners

AI Gunners for the bombers ...i understand that thats why we have the ability to join other players to help them gun, but many people dont really care for that or dont want gunners...but ive been taking down so many times cause im trying to line my sights up with the target and drop my bombs, where as if the gunners had AI...i wouldnt have to worry as much...cause they could atleast shoo the fighters away from me, not letting them get right up on me, and i dont even know it, im not saying the gunners have to be perfect..hell they could be as dumb as the ack ack on fields...just something that keeps fighters from going...OOO easy kill cause hes on bomb run...i think AI gunners would be very beneficial... and as soon as i would jump back into ANY gunner seat the AI is turned off...but turned back on when piloting or bomb running

NO

Instead, add one joiner for every buff. Considering you have 3 with formation, two joiners and you can man the guns of your formation.


OR

You can be alert, and have your whole formation fire at the enemy upon your command, needless of gunners. Oh wait? Don't we already have that?  ;)

Having come from a game that uses AI gunners….no, please no.

Now when I make a screaming head on pass thru a bomb group and some guy cuts my wing off I think "Nice friggen shot!!"  If it was AI thought would be more along the line of *&^#*&%@!! &^%!!!  AI &*^!!  Sheesh!!!  Very few care for being killed by AI.

Programming them is a pain…either they are too good (fitter pilots whine) or not good enough (bus drivers whimper)….no one will be happy.

I cant hate on this entirely... only active when you are in your bombsight. Don't make them all that great, as I remember their actually used to be AI gunners in bombers long time ago on this game. They were not very useful beyond keeping some of those so called "Fighter" guys from simply just waiting high above you out of range to attack you as you are approaching a target and they think your in your sight, because god forbid they cant line up on your 6 and fire away because you are actually defending yourself. Not all jocks do it but there is enough of them out there, it kind of takes away from it when you see it happening too, they will follow you for 10-20 miles just to wait till you are approaching a field or target to attack you, now where is the fun in that. With AI gunners at least it could afford you a little bit of time while you are bombing, for those times that you cant get any joiners, after all not like all the gunners stopped what they were doing just because the bombardier was in his sight they still defended their aircraft. just sayin

Yup -that pretty much sums it up.   I would much rather shoot your puny fighter out of the sky myself than let some silly AI do it.

I know it's the wishlist and all, but your primary concern, is one of the challenges of bombing.  Fly a little higher, and practice your gunnery.  It's clear you are fairly new, success will come with time.
