my snapping turtle which we have had for almost 4 years, I caught him in my driveway when he was about the size of a quarter and couldnt even eat a trout worm and our furball cat which we have had 6 years, he was born in the litter box and he was the runt which he quickly out grew all the others in the bunch
my turtle has to eat out of my hand when I feed him anything other than fish, if I drop anything in the tank, he looks at it then looks at me like well pick it up :lol

Sorry to hear about your loss LeDragon.
It's the shortest most rewarding relationship we'll ever have. When the time is right, you'll figure out to open yourself up to it again.
We had a 4yr old choc lab we had to put down due to osteosarcoma, tried everything we could, vet-neurologist said it was the 2nd youngest dog he'd ever encountered it in. Terrible, she should still be here today re: ~normal longevity.
Been through it so many times, it always hurts bad, and I will always do it all over again.
Not much is more rewarding than your buddy is happy to see you, only you, everyday and doesn't matter what type of day your dog had.

Wow Del hes getting big....seemed like only weeks ago he was chewing on 190s :)
My crackhead (Deacon) hes a terrorist trapped in an Boston Terriers body....if ya dont believe me you should see what he can do to a 12pk of papertowels when left alone. My entire 1st floor looked like the day after a ticker tape parade. :lol
