:D
Deep in my cups, I found his rhetoric a bit annoying, so I invited the fellow to fight in the DA. I offered choice of planes, and he agreed to D-11s, as the film will show. Note that the first time I rolled I upped the plane with a lot of fuel, so I bailed and grabbed another. I had no excuse for this mistake except I was inebriated, so I just accepted whatever disadvantage having to re-up would incur. As the film will show, he did not show up in the agreed upon plane, rather he brought a P-47N with which to duel the D11. This probably demonstrates bad judgement as well as dishonesty, but that is not important. My flying was not skillful due to alcohol consumption, but it turned out not to matter, because despite his deception, the fellow still managed to fly himself into the ground.

After this, he fled to the MA and told a story totally in contradiction to what actually happened, as this screenshot will demonstrate.

This is the first experience I have ever had in this game with actual dishonorable conduct, as opposed to merely cranky behavior, so I thought it to be of interest to the community. :salute

what is your point you bailed your first plane because you were drunk and heavy then he brought a different plane. so when you sober up go to the DA and have another go at it :).

True I responded to the thread but your new, or at least a new shade, so I felt a need to point this out to you.

Agreed...... :old:

I loves me some public shaming however Skuzzy is not a fan
-
In a close dogfight I will take the D11 over the N because of the D11's lighter weight.
-
D11's a better dogfighter than the N so he did himself no favours bringing it.
I personally feel stuff like this should stay on 200 no need to bring it to the boards, just take a smug satisfaction from knowing the truth and how much of a tit hes making himself look :)

I found 1Eagle1's comment at the top of the screenshot the most interesting item of this thread :devil

....and this is the kind on "moronic" behavior we have going on in the MA. Why would anyone new want to stay and have that in their face all the time? I asked a guy why he had to run to friends when it was just him and me, my pony vs his LA and he had the alt. All I got was abuse and ended up squelching 3.

Just providing a community service. Ask this guy to the DA because on account of 200 inanity and he will stall, attempt to cheat, and then dissemble bout it...My fellow players need to be cautioned agaist this potential waste of their valuable time. :salute
As the text demonstrates, the agreed upon aircraft were D-11s. Re-planing while the other guy is inbound to you actually puts one at the slight disadvantage, as they will have had the chance to build more E. As has been pointed out, he thought he was cheating by bringing an N instead of the D-11, but wasn't, which is deliciously funny. :D
I rather doubt I will get him to go anywhere near the DA when I can walk in a straight line :) Wouldn't have bothered to put this up except for the lie against myself that was aired publicly. I was actually shocked by this incident. We players get cranky and mock each other on 200, but this is the first time I've ever run into cheating and lying. I suppose that means most of the community besides this Beer guy deserves a big :salute because that is well above average for humans. :D

I hope you know that nobody other than yourself cares about this.
It happens almost every single day in game.

I hope you know that nobody other than yourself cares about this.
I ask no one to "care". I wished only to let what actually happened be known.

I care. Someday beer might challenge me to a duel and armed with this handy information, I'll be ready for his unabashed chicanery.

...You don't ever have to thank me. :D

THe guy's name is "beer", meow, meow, for god's sake. What did you expect, a night at the opera? Not saying you weren't clearly "in the right", mind... I'm just saying, when you lay down with the dogs, you might occasionally wake up with a flea or two.
That reminds me... I'll have to set up a shade account under the user name, "loud drunken street idiot wearing a wife beater" and start challenging people to 1v1's.

Hey now. You can mock me if you must, but "beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy" and this fellow doesn't deserve to fly under that noble nom de guerre. ;) :salute
As for what I can expect, all I can say is this is indeed the first time I've run into a player who tried to cheat in an agreed upon duel and then lied. This community is generally a bunch good guys, even if they are often truculent. :D
-
Thank god he didn't start a fight w/ me, I would have gotten muted for saying something I normally do when I'm POed...
-
I thought it to be of interest to the community. :salute
You were wrong.

You were wrong.
*Shrug*, it was a bit of a downer to run into this dipstickery after a fun evening of fights and dying with guys like Junky, Kappa, Sonic, etc :salute to them all. There are way more good apples than bad and maybe I should focus on the positive.
But I knew of no other recourse than this for being lied about publically, so again *shrug*. :salute to you as well sir.

I'm just giving you a hard time, IatK. You're right on all counts and the guy is a bum. I'd be ticked off too - mainly because I think dishonesty is shameful.
I was just chuckling over the, as you put it, nom de guerre. Kenny's Dad, in the old cartoon South Park, always wore a hat with the label "Scotch" proudly emblazoned. I'm picturing some guy who rolls off a urine-stained mattress every so often to fly AH.

OK a few care.
Actually you few have won me over. I care deeply myself now. :O

Sorry, but I never saw the need to follow anyone other than a friend or squadee to the DA to duel. I like your choice of the D11, which in a turn fight, some would say is superior to the P47N. The views are not as good, and I believe it is a bit slower.

Life lesson.
Deep in my cups
Stop at that point and move on :D

Beer is a pretty groovy individual, but so are you.
He’s not a bum, just trying to pay his bills like the rest of us.
The DA challenge always makes me laugh. You can never replicate the circumstances of an MA fight no matter how you try. Much better to move on or do a Darth and bottle up all the hatred and unleash it at a later date. Or a Don Corleone and serve the revenge cold. Whatever blows the wind through your hair.
Your particular Boy Scout Troop regularly gang me because I lack the basic intelligence to recover alt or refuse to not wade into anything. Excuse the pun but I’ll be Damned if I fly carefully. Never a DA challenge.
Your choice to post. Knowing Beer, questioning his manhood, parentage or IQ on 200 would have been better. Plus the rest of us get a laugh along the way.
Happy Trails Batmannn

Well, that was the collateral point - and is unrelated to this "Beer" fellow (if that's what he calls himself, meow, meow, fuhgodsake).
So, tell me, for how long have you had your alcohol problem?
