If you can connect to other arenas, then it could be a firewall issue, or it may mean your router needs to be reset, or it could be an anti-xxxx software preventing the connection.
-
I have reset my router, verified permissions for the game, and even un-installed, re-installed the game and I am still showing no connection to half the servers, I am at a loss, I have run this game with no issues at all till friday night when I logged in and first had this issue, and there has been no change since.

That is exactly what mine looks like (comparing them right now)
I did not know how to take a screen shot of the ping plotter so I was going to do it with my phone later lol
-
well at least im not alone in my frustration to not play lol, to choose not too and not be allowed for what ever mystical techno reason sucks.... hopefully we will be able to fly cartoon planes again

There appears to be a routing problem with your connection Schen.
I cannot reach your network from ours either.
You need to report this problem to your ISP. I have already filed a problem report with Verizon as well, but that may not be enough.
-
I called my isp and there losing at around the same spot, I sent an email to them with the plotter info/ trace route, hopefully this can be resolved, its not fun not being able to play the arena that I spend 95% of my time
-
whats confusing is I can connect to the server ending in 153 just not 154, weird....
-
It is looking like it might be a Verizon issue.
-
K Ping plotter is telling me it's verizon at Ohio somewhere?Shaw.ca tech support is useless as Teets on a Boar.

Running pingplotter from up here in Saskatoon Canada,to 149 prefix and 154,getting same results constant, unable to connect to main arena and tech support at Shaw.ca is the same,"we are sorry sir but since you can connect to the internet and can connect to email we are certain the the problem is not with shaw and must originate with the game itself".... :o :x,I will call Shaw again and try to get them to elevate my call to level 3 tech support and ping the server ip from his terminal.I am having zero luck from my end.

Shaw Cable in Calgary was able to trace route them at the .149 prefix but vry very slowly,as of tonight at 2300 and from my pc could not still the same on all 3 ip's.
-
What anti-xxxx software are you using?
Something local to your computer appears to be the issue as the traces/Ping Plots look normal.
-
Avast anti virus and as of today am doing a full AV scan found a rootkit virus, may be at the heart of the issue, may the av itself Skuzzy, does AH have any issues with Avast that you know of?
-
No resetting your router to factory should solve it.

Avast, AVG, and Kapersky have all given up problems from time to time.
-
Im using trend micro antivirus. I have called my isp they are showing fine, ping plotter is showing fine but I am still having the original problom of not being able to connect and play the main arena. Just earlywar midwar, training arena and deuling arena. I am at a loss, going on 5 days being unable to play :(
-
Try a fresh installation of the game. I doubt that will fix anything related to the problem. Something is interfering with the game, at the port locations for the Late War arena, as there are other arenas, on the same server, you have no issue getting a connection to.
Now, that said, if your computer is taking too long to connect, and that is quite possible given the Internet issues we have been seeing, reducing the game graphic requirements could help. Maybe.
-
so far I have done a full installation, reset router, reset comp, changed graphic settings, and am still at same boat, so yea lol what can I do now?
-
Does it seem to take a long time at the loading screen for the arena?
-
looking at the ping when logged in, I cant connect to any server ending in 154? just 153.... ?????
-
when I open game and click online arenas, it seems to take awhile, then it shows ping on those areanas I stated and none on the others identical to my first post in this topic
-
I cannot trace back to your IP address, no matter what server I use. It is stopping at the gateway between Verizon and Alter.net.
When it finally gets passed that block, it is timing out in cgocable.net's network.
-
any ideas sir? im not a supper geek and have exhausted all I know, I called cogeco teir 2 tech and the said its all good on there end?

It is not all good on their end. Here is a trace to your current IP address. Your Ping Plots, only show the path your data takes TO the servers. I have to test the return trip as it is different.
The "*" means timeout or no response. I cannot reach your IP address. However, there appears to be multiple issues. Both with Verizon and cgocable.
traceroute to xx.xx.xx.xx(xx.xx.xx.xx), 30 hops max, 40 byte packets

interesting, any suggestions on what I should say when I call them back?
or ideas to the solution?
-
Try resetting your router. Or try hard wireing your connection to your computer and bypass your router.
I know mine was kinda easy cause everything else on the computer worked right and a reinstall of AH didnt. That left one of two things, my router or Comcast, my provider. Because I was able to get in the other arenas I figured it had to be my router. A simple reset fixed it.

Point them at the trace I just posted, or copy it to your favorite editor and send it to them. Just tell them that is what the path to their service looks like from Texas.

More information.
It appears there is still some residual routing issues associated with the Jamaica take over. We are seeing different routes, from each server, to the same IP address. This is problematic, at best.
It means different people may have problems connecting to different arenas. Hopefully this will all clear up soon.

OK cleaned off computer of all anti virus shut down firewall, safemode reboot from windows cd and repair of windows.clean reinstall of AcesHigh and still cannot get out and connect to aces high server from shaw cable from my machine.Any other ideas before I do a complete reformat?at least 3 of us all around the same time with near identical blocking to game server cannot be a coincidence and our tech support is leading us down blind alley's.IM not sure if it's verizon up to something somewhere or our own providers up to something trying to throttle or control bandwidth but I have done virtually everything short of a hard disk wipe in the last 3 days, and I will continue to pursue every last idea I can think of.What's really ticking me off is I left my machine perfectly fine for a few days having just played the game ,came back to do the same thing and nothing works as it should, nobody else accessed this box.

It is not Verizon. This problem has to do with an ISP in Jamaica who accidentally inserted our Class C IP address block into their BGP tables. We have gotten them to fix that, but it has to propagate over the Internet.
How long that can take will depend on how all the Internet routers (not personal routers) are programmed.
-
I hope not too long I feel like a drugie who hasn't had there fix........its only been 6 nights since I last flew.... (SIGH)..... :cry
-
Well Im going to use this time and be proactive anyway ,thanks Roy and Schen I feel your pain..... :O :airplane: :bhead,I've gone ahead and done a full on reformat, set up a new laptop as my win8 machine with burned dvd's of all backups of this xp desktops systems and today I am reinstalling this desktops clean.......Sorry this happened Roy looking forward soon to getting back in the air hope this gets resolved soon guys.

It seems the geographically closer you are the faster it is healing.
-
I now have all arenas, the ping is 133-160, its def playable and I can play again
-
Not that I think this will help the issues but if you use avast AV you can set it to game mode or the option I use is to disable it until you reboot as you shouldnt need to use AV while playing AH.
