I must have had a hell of PTSD, as I can't remember any of it. Even more perplexing: I can't remember any polish words other than 'dziękuję' :noid
Well, a man with no memories to burden him probably makes the best soldier... (http://www.sherv.net/cm/emoticons/war/saluting-soldier.gif)

There were no casualties. PVT Schen has been promoted to corporal. Congratulations CPL Schen.
WTG Earth men.
-
Lucky promoted in one mission

Oh my god, Navy SEAL w/ NO experience! PERFECT! :lol

Mission 2:
light scout ship recovery.
Tupac, Dichotomy and Lusche just saved your life. Tupac and Dichotomy were carrying shotguns, so they were guarding the CH48 untill we needed them. Tupac was on the left door, Dichotomy on the right. The rest of the team was out flushing reptilians out of hay fields and barns and toejam. Suddenly out of Tupac's blind spot right up next to him along side Charlie-1, one of them lizard aliens blasted Tupac with his ray gun. Dichotomy runs out the back of Charlie-1 and around the lefts side of the bird and blows away the lizard with his shotgun. Now Tupac is bleeding out, he's panicking so he got no time units left. He's spraying blood all over the inside of Charlie-1 screaming "DON'T LET IT EAT ME!" But neither Tupac or Dichotomy have an aid bag. Lusche is the closest one with an aid bag so he takes off running for the bird. He got there in time to patch the holes in Tupac before he bled to death. Tupac is 52% health right now, he won't be going on any missions for awhile.
Lusche has been promoted to sergeant.
Karnak has been promoted to sergeant.
Dichotomy has been promoted to sergeant.
Gscholz has been promoted to sergeant.
Serenity has been promoted to sergeant.
Tupac has been promoted to corporal.
Mechanic has been promoted to corporal.
I'll update your personnel files when I get around to it. I need more recruits!
-
Drop your woks and grab your mickey mouse boots, mittens and furry parkas. It's December and we got a flying saucer melting a hole in Mongolia. PVT Volron will be joining us. He'll be humping the pig 'cause he's strong like bull. CPL Tupac's still in the shop.
Gentlemen, let's go get Gazoo.

Mission 3
alien cruiser recovery
Well we got to test out the new armor, it works. One of them lizardmen threw a grenade at Schen and Volron, it went off right behind them. Didn't do anything to them but their ears are still ringing. Then that lizard man charged right up to them, but before Volron could cut him in half with the machine gun a shot rang out and dropped the lizard. Looked around to see where the shot came from and there stood a policeman with a smoking smith & wesson in his hand.
Karnak has been promoted to Lieutenant
Gscholz has been promoted to Lieutenant
SGT Serenity has been awarded the Order of Gallantry
Schen has been promoted to Sergeant
Volron has been promoted to Corporal
-
I volunteer! if only to be melted on my first mission.
-
Immediately after touchdown the team was pinned inside the dropship. CPL Volron went berserk, unfortunately he was carrying a rocket launcher. Everyone was killed and the dropship was lost.

:uhoh :cry
-
Just kidding! :D
Actually you guys are kicking ass. You just saved Edinburgh Scotland from nuclear annihilation. And you Lusche, just earned the Military Cross. Congratulations, snipers usually do well in city terror defense missions.
-
You see you have the Order of Merit for killing more than ten enemies. The Military Cross for killing five or more in a single mission. The Citation for Courage for the successful defense of a city mission.

Congratulations to Tupac, the first to get the Crimson Heart. I'm surprised at how lucky we've been. I haven't been saving and doing do overs, you're really surviving. This one was hairy at the beginning, never came close to using up an entire aid bag before this mission. Seems like after you kill half of the aliens they go into defensive mode. When they do that it's just a matter of methodically clearing the map. But after that we have to go inside and clear the alien ship, an ordeal of suspenseful terror punctuated by horror.
Oh and I forgot to add, you captured the alien ship commander alive! Well played earthmen. :salute

I think we just lost CAP Serenity. He's down, he was given first aid right after he was hit, sometimes that works. LT Karnak accidentally shot him in the back with a plasma machinegun. Serenity was kneeling too close to Karnak's line of fire when Karnak blew the door of the flying saucer down with a ten round burst. Serenity caught at least a couple rounds in the back. Hope he pulls through but it aint looking good.

Major Serenity was killed in action 23 March 1980. He and three other operatives were clearing the command deck of a downed alien cruiser. While engaged in a ferocious close quarters firefight with three androns that were firing explosive ammunition, Major Serenity was struck down. He died Immediately. Major Serenity was an irreplaceable asset to the Xenonauts organization and his contribution will not be forgotten. He was a decorated veteran of twelve missions including the Edinburgh and Cape Town missions. In his time of service with this organization he was awarded The Service Medal for active participation in ten missions, the Order of Merit for the elimination of ten extraterrestrials in combat, the Citation for Courage for his actions at Edinburgh, and the Crimson Heart for being seriously wounded in service of humanity.
Major GScholz and Captain Schen were awarded the Crimson Heart for wounds sustained on this mission. Major GScholz had only 2 health points remaining by the time he was evacuated. This mission was supposed to be the first of three recovery missions of downed alien vessels. The recovery of the remaining two crash sites has been canceled and air strikes have been carried out on those sites.
Please join us in a moment of silence for Major Serenity.

For their action in thwarting an alien raid on a Xenonaut facility, MAJ Lusche, MAJ Tupac, MAJ Dichotomy, CAP Volron, CAP Dragon and MAJ Karnak have been awarded the Citation for Bravery.
Karnak has been promoted to the rank of Commander.
As the gaggle of humans in the command center of the Xenonaut base designated "The Field" watched it on the black and white cctv security monitor, it set about ransacking the research laboratory. There was something almost comical about the way it went about it's task. As if it was entirely oblivious to all else, wholly absorbed in it's mayhem. Smash an evacuation chamber here, shoot at a centrifuge there.. But then it paused. It picked up a microscope and appeared to be examining it. And then, just as abruptly, forcefully threw it on the floor and went back to work wrecking the lab.
"Man those guys are dicks." LT. Plawranc said as he watched the video screen. "Reminds me of the time some lab monkeys got loose at Dietrick.", the director of research said. "How'd you get 'em back in their cages?" Plawranc asked. Deadly serious, the professor looked Plawranc in the eye and replied flatly, "monkey gas". "You made knockout gas that only works on monkeys?" Plawranc asked skeptically. "Yep, doesn't work on apes and people.", the professor replied. "You're BSing me professor", laughed LT Plawranc. "If you yanks can make monkey gas then why can't we make a gas for these little bastards that won't kick our tulips as well?" Major Schen said, joining the exchange. "That's no lie." Major Karnak said joining in, "I still can't feel my little fingers." "It is true.", one of the scientists, a russian, said coming to the professor's defense. "At Bioprepryat we had something like this. Nobody wants to wrestle with monkey when he have deadly virus." With that the soldiers conceeded and returned their attention to the security tv. Suppressing a chuckle, the american and russian scientists smirked at each other knowingly.
On the silent, grainy black and white screen they watched as a human figure crept through the doorway of their violated laboratory. Behind the otherworldly pillager crept the human, ever closer until finally the alien startled. Instantly there was a brilliant flash on the video screen as the earthman discharged his plasma shotgun. The intruder dropped lifeless where it had stood. "That was the last one." a voice came over the base intercom, breaking the silence.

The strike team just put down in Buenos Aires. Schen is down, they're still trying to secure the insertion site. I hope Schen makes it.
-
Commander Schen was killed in action 31 May 1980 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This was his twentieth mission. Major Schen was one of our most senior and experienced operatives. His absence leaves a gap in our ranks that will not be soon filled. It should be said that because of the actions of the strike team, of which CMD Schen was an invaluable member, Buenos Aires was rescued from alien terror, and thus spared nuclear destruction that would have been otherwise necessary. Several Cities around the globe and countless millions of people, not just Buenos Aires, continue to exist today due to the interdiction missions of the strike teams. Several of which Commander Schen participated in.
The insertion point was a gas station parking lot. The team was in enemy contact from the moment the ramps of the dropship lowered. As the team fought to reach cover and secure the IP they came under fire from all sides including accurate sniper fire from rooftops. The gas station quickly became a blazing inferno lighting up the night sky of Buenos Aires. Schen was cut down just a few steps from the ramp of Shrike-1.
A moment of silence for Commander Schen..

Commander Dichotomy was killed in action 30 July 1980. On a mission to recover a downed alien carrier. While grouped near the entrance of the alien craft preparing to board it, one of CMD Dichotomy's squadmates was targeted by enemy mind weapons and against his own will fatally shot CMD Dichotomy. This was Dichotomy's twenty second mission. He has been awarded the Long Service medal posthumously. He died doing what he loved, defending humanity in the company of his brothers in arms.

To die in battle is to die with your death stairing you in the face, not from behind not sickness not age, is but a great way to die :salute to also go in such a dramatic fashion was cool and I assume 20 missions is good?

Also it was Lusche that killed Serenity, he wasn't under alien control. He went berserk.
I have some more bad news for two of you. I'll post the report soon.
-
Also it was Lusche that killed Serenity, he wasn't under alien control. He went berserk.
Having children has that effect on some.

Commander Gscholz was killed in action 30 August 1980 on a mission to recover a downed alien battleship. While inside the alien craft Major Plawranc, under alien mind control, shot CMD Gscholz with his devastating MAG machine gun at close range. CMD Gscholz was killed instantly. This was his twenty-fourth mission.
Colonel Mechanic was killed in action 30 August 1980 on a mission to recover a downed alien battleship. While clearing the command deck the team was engaged with multiple andron soldiers and a command class alien. COL Mechanic died in the fight. This was his thirty-first mission.
Though the toll of this one mission was particularly heavy for the organization. This was the most important mission the unit has undertaken thus far. The success of this mission has yielded two critically important keys to the reversal of this alien invasion. We have recovered a device known as a singularity core reactor, and we have captured a specimen of the most important and dangerous class of the alien alive.
The original objective of the team was only to recover the battleship and neutralize all aliens including the commander. However after the death of Gscholz the team made the decision that the alien commander would be taken alive. Which required exposing themselves to the enemy as they closed with it, lobbing gas grenade after gas grenade. In fact extra grenades and ammunition had to be retrieved from the drop ship as the team depleted their carried munitions. This was a heroic mission.
CMD Gscholz and COL Mechanic were decorated and dedicated Xenonauts. Having both been awarded The Order of Terra for the elimination of twenty enemy. The Long Sevice Medal for participation in combat in twenty missions. The Citation for Courage for the successful defense of a city against terror forces. The Citation for Bravery for their actions in defense of a Xenonaut facilty. The Citation for Valor for their action in the successful capture of an alien base. The Crimson Heart for sustaining serious wounds while in the service of humanity.
A moment of silence for our fallen brothers..
