Hammy, let's hope this year there's a big D in Ann Arbor. As for the buckeyes, they will get theirs, sooner better than later.

I think the D will be fine it's the Oline I worried about. A true freshman is starting left tackle(mason cole) still I would take Michigan Oline problems over Ohio's QB issues anyday.

BOOMER SOONER!!!

I love my Arkansas State Red Wolves (Howl Yes). I was once a huge fan of anything SEC, mainly supporting my beloved Hogs.

Well last season when Alabama went to take on OU I went to running my mouth at my aunt, uncle and cousins whom are all OU alumni, never miss a game and live in Piedmont.  I said some things like how much stronger the SEC was and all that talk.  Boy was I wrong.

So yes sir,  Boomer Sooner..............I hate loosing bets...

Not anticipating a great season, so I'll just post this here:

I'm still flying in for four games... well mostly the tailgates, with a football game in the middle.

If you can't take the banter, don't play. Don't whine until they make it a penalty.

I got no problem with trash talk except when it is 'in your face' trash talk.

If it was on the street, the guy would pull his piece and ventilate the trash talker.

Against Appalacia State... Don't get me wrong. I was happy to see the drubbing.

So far, i've got:

UM: 1-0 ( 52-14 over Appalachia State)
Stanford: 1-0 (45-0 over UC Davis)

These are warmup games.

The first big test for UM will be Notre Dotage, for SU it'll be USC next week.

And just as bad, Stanford lost to USC. It looks like my dream of an all alma mater Rose Bowl has been deferred yet another year.

Why do all my football teams always have to suck? Bears, UM, Stanford... At least the bears usually win in September, at least until injuries and their cheap ownership spells depth-chart doom in December.

College is just bleak. Fire Hoke. This is crap.

Certainly "the program" has sucked massively since David Arundel Brandon (what is he hiding?) has taken over in 2010. It's got a liplock on something big. THe hiring and staffing has been somewhat of a drunkard's walk.

well this is been one exciting football weekend total top 10 shake up, never in my life have I seen so many top teams fall. all great games to watch well except for my ducks I had a feeling they were going to lose before the game even started their offensive line and defensive line is just riddled with injuries, once they started playing it just seems like no one was on the same page it was brutal to watch lol .

the pac-12 has some very competitive teams, when they play each other you just don't know who's going to win there that competitive with each other.  I honestly thinks some one loss teams are going to make it into the playoffs all the divisions seem to be pretty close to each other this year. I do have to say it's been an exciting college football season so far and its early in the season and still plenty of upsets to be had.

And good on the committee for picking the best 4.  I know Baylor and TCU fans will be upset but hey, the B12 need to grow a championship game!

Go Bucks!  Think how their season went.  Lost Heisman candidate starting QB.  Lost him to injury and then started red shirt freshman QB who played himself into

Heisman candidacy.  Lost him in the Michigan game and had to start their third string QB in Big Ten Championship Game against Wisconsin who had 4th ranked defense in the

nation and a clear Heisman Trophy candidate running back!  Not to mention during the week lost a team mate who committed suicide.  What did they do?

Beat Wisconsin 59 - 0 who was a 4 point favorite. Two Big Ten Coaches(one former) going at it (Alabama's coach Nick Saban is a former Big Ten Head  Coach at Michigan State).

Lots of former Big Ten Coaches in the SEC.  Someone had to show them how to play football LOL.

I am relishing playing Alabama....should be a good game.

I've watched OSU play the last three weeks.

I think Urban has a revenge thing going from when Bama smacked UF in the SEC championship.. That's a good thing, competition is good.

My prediction -  Bama 45; OSU 18

As a Wolverine, I am saddened by the state of affairs of the football team and am hoping that folks can turn it around.

Our season is done, and now I wish all the luck to Ohio State.  They have looked great so far.  I was sorry to see the quarterback get a broken ankle -- that poor guy, after having done such a great job filling in.  I thought Ohio State might be in trouble then, but little did I know that they have a seemingly infinite supply of awesome quarterbacks!

As an Ohio State fan, I knew we had good backups, albeit untested for the most part. I don't think any one of us saw what was coming at the B1G Championship game. What a pleasant sigh of relief, especially on defense.

If our team can play with the same energy and enthusiasm in the Sugar Bowl like they did last weekend, I see no reason why we can't beat Alabama. The best part is, none of the Alabama players and fans are taking us seriously... They think we are a pushover- or a warmup leading to the NCG. Boy do I hope they get over confident and complacent....  :devil

Like Bo Shembechler used to say "When people start saying nice things about you, watch out!".

Disappointed for TCU yes but seeing the reasons behind the committees decision I can, grudgingly, agree with it.  I like what coach Patterson said though if you want to be assured of a spot don't lose.  Out of all the teams in it I'm going to have to pull for the ducks.  I don't much like bama, and I loathe that kid at FSU, Ohio State would be a great story, but I've been to Medford and loved it so... go Ducks

Just a little over a day away from the first NCAA play off games; I am stoked!

My predictions:

Ducks vs Seminoles:  Seminoles luck runs out.  They have found a way to win all season in a bunch of close games - many come from behind wins.  I think the offensive juggernaut the Ducks are will over power them.  Ducks 42, Seminoles 35.

Bucks vs Bama:  There is more to OSU than the media is giving them credit for and IT WILL NOT be a beat down in Bama's favor.  Having said that, OSU will have to beat Bama passing and I don't think the 3rd string QB will be protected that well to achieve it.  Bama wins by a touchdown.  Bama 28, Bucks 21

Meanwhile, there is a lot of good football to be played tonight and tomorrow.  ND vs LSu and UGA vs Louisville tonight.

It'll be interesting to see how well Al Abama does against OSU. ESPN has been on the SEC wagon all year, and I know it's killing them to see their beloved conference being destroyed on the field. Now that Ole Miss and Miss St have been exposed as complete frauds  :rofl if Al Abama loses ESPN may just shut down and close up shop.

I guess the playoff committee knew somehow having #1 play #4 and #2 play #3 instead of 1v3, 2v4 to determine who gets in the final game was a way to make sure Al Abama gets into the Championship game... we'd hate to have everyone's favorite child lose in the first round to FSU.....

FTR, this Bama fan never bought into the "SEC Dominate Conference" horse-shat.  There is a good amount of parity across FBS.

I don't buy into your conspiracy theory though.  You are suggesting the play-off committee took steps to better the odds of Bama getting into the championship game?

Starts in a few hours and my checklist is done.

1. Chicken wings for frying - done
2. Family over for fun - check
3. Plenty of good German beer - check

I'm just spit-balling ammo, but something smells. Why is #1 playing #4, when #4 is arguably a team that shouldn't even be there and by far the weakest of the 4? Sorry OSU fans, TCU got screwed. The Horned Frogs would destroy the Buckeyes head to head, I believe. They should have made the show.

IMHO, it should be #1 vs #3, and #2 vs #4.... except that, and having TCU as the #4, makes it A LOT harder for Bama to get past the first game.

The folks at ESPN were peeing their pants in fear when it looked like Auburn might beat Bama, cause it would have certainly looked like the first ever playoff would have been without an SEC team if Bama had lost.... and THAT would have been unacceptable.

Maybe I've got my tinfoil hat too tight, but I smell a conspiracy! A   C-O-N-spiracy!  :old:

The experts are doing great.....#7 MSU defeated #4 Baylor which defeated TCU?   Big 12 needs to learn to play defense

and add a championship game.  Also.....get rid of the cup cake schedules early season.  MSU is hardly an offensive juggernaut.

Perhaps Ohio State could beat Oregon AGAIN with a 3rd string QB?

 1962: Ohio State - 26; Oregon - 7

Ohio State's third-string quarterback had to be the hero against the Ducks. John Mummey, Ohio State's starter, was injured. Bill Mrukowski, who was not even on the travel squad, paced Ohio State to a 26-7 win.

Ohio State outgained Oregon 316 to 107 on the ground. The key play may have been Bruce Snyder's second quarter fumble on Oregon's own 23-yard line. Bill Spahr secured the loose ball. Mrukowski led the ensuing drive to give Ohio State a 14-0 lead.

The loss for Oregon, which finished 6-3-1 in 1962, cost the Webfoots a chance at a bowl game.

Quarterback aside, the key to OSU's win was in the line - both sides of the ball.  I haven't seen such size, speed, and talent in many years.  I was reminded of the dusty old glory days at Nebraska.  Meyer has OSU loaded.  Okay now we can talk about a 3rd stringer who plays better than many pro quarterbacks.

I was rooting for Oregon and never considered them an underdog until 21 unanswered points...

OSU looked like dynasty re-born last night.  Carrumba.
