It's hard for me to fathom

Why anyone would want to join these idiots is beyond me. Gaurantee there will be no more left of the Middle East after this is over. Hell, I wish we could evacuate all the citizens and completely just demolish all of the middle east. What a crap hole that place is.
Did you read the article yesterday about ISIS banning Math and Social Studies for children as well?
I am not a religious person, but I am spiritual. It is stuff like this that I'm so happy my parents did not indoctrinate me into a specific religion. They give it such a bad name while forcing their idea of "gods will" upon you. It's really messed up. These people think they are so totally tubular smart but they're about to see real quick how much the rest of the world isn't gonna put up t with here garbage pathetic attempts of trashing our society because of what a couple no good rag head bastards think.
Criticizing them and bashing their POS beliefs and not being afraid to call them what I will and bash their POS idea of God is why I love living in America and having free speach.
(S) US military thank you!
I hope you make those sorry excuse of people scream for their pathetic God when you cut each leg and finger off one by one with no mercy.

ISIS needs to go. They are completely and utterly sick.

As long as our allies stand with us I fear nothing.
I dont think any power on Earth can stand against free peoples who are united. Thats my belief, and as an old Cold Warrior, with 18 mos experience in the Mid East, I can speak from some experience. This is not a new war ; Its just another incarnation of an old one. This enemy was killing us back in the '70s. It just wasnt global at the time and it was over shadowed by a vast secret conflict called the Cold War.
-
I love how they think they represent their religion when they are directly going against it... Their views are so twisted it's sad. It's even sadder that there are so many who will follow these idiots.

Doesn't surprise me.
Canada about the only one with their head on straight.

Canada about the only one with their head on straight.
Canada has been there too... they also need to watch their backs.... Basically if your country has stepped foot in theirs you are a potential target....
What is crazier...is that so many are crying about the spy games going on and the power they seem to have...but without what has always been (albeit they can access far more now)these small cells being found probably...no....most certainly would be more prevalent and able to actually carry out much more than they are presently able to.....
Do I believe all I am writing....hmmm not sure.... I have a different thinking about war and why they are however this is different and not war as such IMO these Islamist don't follow the Geneva convention rules of engagement and quite honestly don't really give a toss... this is why it is hard to stop them...society won't allow eye for an eye type tactics (that they know about) which allows for those who live by a different set of rules an imbalance of power which they utilise/capitalise on....
All I can say is I'm glad they screened every phone call/internet connection of every person and stopped what the media are say was going to happen from happening....and I hope they continue to do so and hopefully help save someone you know.

Earlier this summer our anti-terror intel agency warned that Islamic terrorists were planning to kill a random family here in Norway, film it and put it on the web. They've also identified several IS terrorists in Syria/Iraq that are Norwegian citizens. They may be prevented from returning to Norway.

As soon as the US can undo the shackles of being politically correct, the sooner the like of ISIS/ISIL and other such vermin can be stomped. Until then, the tip toe actions will just allow them to fester and swell like the infected wound they are.
-
There was a protest of about 200 - with some who's houses were raided complaining how the police terrorised women and children - how they're innocent victims being targeted for no reason except their cultural/religous differences etc etc...
I feel for them - imagine that, being an innocent only targeted because of your religion or cultural difference - strangers terrorising women and children...

I read in the news that Kurdish fighters are starting to roll back IS forces because of the precision and power of US air strikes, but the things they are finding when they roll back into the villages make Saddam and his sons look G rated

This isn't going to go away until we get into the proper mental state of mind. When facng a force like this you cannot dissuade tehm with rhetoric, golf scores or threats. This force will not be stopped short of their inability to consume oxygen. Until and unless the decision is made to engage them at that level they will continue to be a blight on whatever portion of the world they infest. You do not reason with a deadly bug / snake, you kill it and keep it from reproducing.
-
I like saying this less then anyone cause I have a kid in the service.
Its going to take boots on the ground to do it. That fact is like the 800 lb gorilla in the room. Everyone knows it but nobody wants to say it. Our allies, so called, in the region are just not up to it and your not going to win any war with just air strikes.
Now they scheme to kill the PM of one of our closest allies? Well that triggers a legal defense treaty. I have some experience in the region, less then some here, but while avoiding the "P" word I can tell you there is a way of thinking in this troubled part of the world that "if Im everyones friend then Im nobody's enemy". Folks there just want to survive and raise their kids in peace like we do.
Without a long term combat commitment by America and her allies I dont think we can win. We can probably manage it, as we have been doing for 40+ years, but I dont think we can win. We're going to have to call it a "War" and then act like it is! one.

Luckily, I don't think any Indians play this game, they are too busy praying and probably have no idea what an "airplane" is.

Hate to say it, but with this fop at the helm I hold no positive views of any 'win'.

Just remember John Kerry says 'Global climate change' is a greater threat than ISIL, and new research published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences http://www.pnas.org/content/early/2014/09/16/1318371111.abstract (http://www.pnas.org/content/early/2014/09/16/1318371111.abstract) suggest the past warming trend might be caused by change of wind currents. So all we need is for the 'wind bags' to put a cork in it.

With tens of thousands in us streets protesting climate change im sure the wind bags know where to blow. :old:
after the last 13 years of war i would hope the Iraqis/Syrians would take the lead in fighting these guys, and hopefully the politics will not get in the way of a chance for the world to work together against those uncivilized murderers. :bolt:

Maybe if American corporations are not there, ISIS would not exist.
Remember the golden rule! ;)

Canada was issued warning the other day,all Canadians were told to increase their supply of snowballs just in case! We have a super secret iceball in development, but thats all I can say on the subject ATM...... :noid

I'm worried.
I live here.
And this goes beyond the usual "Muslims are bad mmkay" propaganda. That stuff is rehashed crap. There are plenty of good hardworking people who call god by the name of allah and never hurt a soul. The real issue is the continued agitation of the situation. They have gone from being a persecuted misunderstood minority to a very large, very radicalized group. Believing in a system that was not subject to the theistic reformations post Renaissance. We are talking about a literal medieval world view. And unless we take steps to reform it and at the same time wipe out the more extremist elements. We will get nowhere.
Asking someone to change their faith and then expecting them to comply is ridiculous. We can either work with them and try to integrate them into the modern world. Or we wage a war of annihilation until one side is completely eradicated.
To quote a very great man. "Speak softly, but wield a big stick". Is our only hope for peace.

I find that the biggest cowards are the 1st willing to send our kids into a war. I also find that the cowards on the other side are willing to send their kids into war in the name of some sort of extreme religious excuse: muslim, Christian and lets not forget the zionists.
I know many people of Islamic backgrounds and I find them to be very decent and hardworking people who are culturally rich. What our media did and continue to do to the image of muslims is shameful, which is why I don't watch the zio-media anymore.

I would suggest that what the Islamic fundamentalist groups are doing to the image of Muslims is what is shameful. That the media reports on Muslim jihadi's beheading innocents, targeting non combatants and behaving basically as though they still live in the stone age, is hardly the fault of the media when the public draw proper inference from what is reported :old:

Jan 2014 ISIL's so called "freedom fighters" took Aleppo Hospital in Syria and executed the pro-Assad survivors:
http://video.day.az/view=uhw7exwf (http://video.day.az/view=uhw7exwf)
NOBODY CARED
And such things happened again and again and nobody in the world really cared about it.
So why are you complaining now ?

If you lump in bastages and make them the representatives of the entire muslim world, then sure.
Remember, media's job is making money so they will embellish as much as possible and not let things go while they still draw interest.

I have spent time with these people first hand. They are the most duplicitous group of humans I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. I am talking about Afghans, but I am yet to come across a Muslim of any denomination that hasn't made me feel like they are surreptitiously in support of the jihadi's.
Racist? Perhaps. Nevertheless I have had enough of them try to kill me to be reasonably comfortable about my views.

Does it matter? Where are all the "we are good Americans" muslims?
It is physically impossible to be a good American and a good Muslim.

Rich, I guess this is where we differ,I refuse to live my life worrying about stuff I can not control! If some group want to attack my country, there is little I can do so I sure wont spend my time worrying where, when or why.
Besides,we'd just have them chase us north abit, soon they would be so cold they's give up and want to go home where it's nice and warm! Thats when we will release the secret iceballs we have in our inventory!

As one of the people likely to be on the pointy-edge of that spear, a situation like this is not an act of cowardice. These people are actively persecuting EVERYONE who does not agree with them, and not only are the persecuting the, but they're MURDERING them. While this may not be happening on American soil, I still truly believe that SOMETHING needs to be done, as do many of my compatriots.

Yes, might change a lot of minds that say those things won't ever happen here.
Rules prevent me from...
But there is only one way in my mind to deal with violent and aggressive followers of (anything) totalitarian; heads really, ok we'll give ya some Tomahawks.

I worry now cause of my job. Which is now at a more sensitive spot. I also worry due to my own experiences in that theater and because I know this current campaign is nothing more then media fodder. It will have very little effect against the enemy. Worst of all are all the westerners going over there to join in this new state. Let alone the fact I know many of our weaknesses.
All those westerners going over there gives them a whole lot of Intel and even Intel of the simplest kind could be very useful to them.

This will be handled as "workplace violence" by the media and others. On one hand it IS a workplace situation however the method of killing and actins taken during the act fit just as well in a terrorist attack and with the same motivation base as well. This is going to be another head in the sand exercise by the media and govt. IMO. Skuzzy sorry if that pushes the political envelope in the post.

sorry to tell you but things like this happen very often, not often at work but often somewhere else. but due to the religion of one guy then all of a sudden it's big news even though it may have nothing to do with what happens in another country.

Well theres way to much on the line on 4 Nov. to make a big deal over just one beheading. :huh
