Title says it all. Landed at Strats three times now....fuel farm, hq, and ammo. Stopped on pavement intact. Ditch. Makes no sense. Can we change this?
-
Why? Did someone tell you strats were bases and their roads were runways?

Apparently you aren't but I still think this is a rather useless wish. Tell me what it accomplishes. :D

A "runway" object has to be assigned to a field #
Strat objects are assigned to countries or zones within countries.

Easy fix then.

I think it's just a question of tile being used. Until very recently (last year), we had been able to land sucessfully at the HQ. Since the HQ artwork was redone, you can't land there anymore because the new town there doesn't anymore have the same 'pavement/concrete' as towns or bases do have
-
You worried about score or something? Just bail after your package lands and re-launch.
-
The AH3 HQ picture Waffle posted didn't have anywhere to land anything. I wonder if AH2 complaints at this juncture are over things that may not exist in the new version? That picture doesn't look anything like AH2. If AH3 will be the next release, and AH2 as is, is stable, maybe a little irritating. Why expend energy needed for the next version release HTC doesn't have to spare with it's ultra tiny development team?
Personally I try to land on the big factory building just to see if I can pull it off.

Perhaps I am.
Doesn't matter.
Stupid aspect of this game that should be fixed.

If so, he's fighting the wrong battle, as ditching doesn't impact K/D at all.

Doable..

As far as the OP goes.. if you landed a perfectly good airplane at a location that wasn't an airfield, the disciplinary repercussions would probably alter your speech tones by an octave or so..

He grammar no have.
Notice he didn't deny said accusations, but instead he made an attempt to troll my grammar. :lol
Einstein was said to have been ignorant in the art of English literature, yet he was one of the worlds greatest physicists.
Just saying....

People can read. A ditch ain't a landing....
-
Great men fight great battles. Petty men ..... well.
-
The inability to land at hq could be solved by hardening/bomb proofing HQ. (See multiple other threads and posts.) it just feels gamey bailing or ditching on "concrete", but the idea of making a return flight just seems like enabling the abuser.

You guys get the point that the ship has sailed, and AH3 is HTC's focus now?
Note, the AH2 ubiquitous 30mm bug is simply sitting in the Bug Post forum. HTC has <1% of the number of programmers other game companies keep on staff. You want AH3 or you want to whine? AH2 is AH2, and this is the last of AH2. Burn a copy to DVD for posterity. I bet HiTech has issued Skuzzy ear plugs until the grand release of AH3, so he can get his work done.
Then by all means, bellow like stuck leviathans. HTC will need the feed back as always with new code releases.
Well at least this isn't at the end of Brave Heart. It's just the middle with the numpties and their scrolls.

We prefer to whine. It is our only creative outlet.

I'm not sure... Me109s never landed at a Panzers factories after defending it...
-
There should be a nice chunk of cheese for the folks that break away from game play to fix something that should not be broken anyway.
Last time there was a 109 hovering over HQ shooting all the goons. I had great pleasure of getting the kill on that %&@#.

May as well wish for one of these over each HQ:

May as well wish for one of these over each HQ:
In the early 1970s, in college, I told Navy ROTC Marine-op people that I thought the carrier of the future was dirigibles carrying gyrocopters (the Bond movie "You Only Live Twice" had recently come out). They took me seriously. I kept that conversation going for weeks. I haven't been able to take them seriously since.

I wonder if the U.S. Navy would have still been utilizing them at the start of WWII if the Akron and Macon hadn't both been destroyed successively in the mid 30s.

How about we ask for a little utility runway/field at the strats?
They should have one anyway, I mean, I would assume parts coming in and going out would be using air transport at least to some extent.
Maybe have an uncapturable small field with only storch's available for take-off?
Would be nice for pilots defending the strats to land with their radiator hits (you know, if they fly 190s)
