I enjoyed the film, thanks for posting it.

FWIW, it seemed to me that there were 3 times that Poison took a shot when Saw's plane had the forward 45 degree arc coming toward Poison. Technically a head on quarter shot. I am not judging, just saying. I believe any shot that can land rounds is a valid shot but I am in the minority.

The thing that was telling was Poisons use of the vertical and Sawzaw never challenging him for that position. Poison had the advantage of the high ground and Saw just couldn't push him off the top.

Just 1 question.... after each fight did both players replane or did Poison keep the same ride?

Again, thanks for posting the video, was interesting.

I replaned every time. A few times he rolled early though :) didn't help him in the end.

A HO shot is not anywhere within a 45 degree arc, that is just an excuse to not get out of someones guns. For it to be a HO he would have had to have his guns on me too which he never did (except for when he was tailstalling but there is no way he would have made that shot or lived after wasting all his energy).

I enjoyed the film too, Poison!

Was you in a 190 or Ta152?

If in 190 was it the A5?

Very good vertical maneuvering.....especially liked the snap rolls & what looked like 1 chandelle to close in when Sawzaw presented himself beneath you......

Thank you :)

The rules for the duel were he could pick first, then the loser would pick the next plane. He chose the 109-K4 for every fight.

For it to be a HO he would have had to have his guns on me too

that's crap.

like I said, you were HO twice. the second time you got off the trigger REAL fast, likely cuz you were filming.

what I gleen out of this interlude is that you are very sensitive to others opinions, and therefore
have to PROVE to the world that 'im not an HOer'

whats next, a video proclaiming you don't spawn camp?

I'll shoot anyone in the face if I have to, although I would prefer to outfly them and not risk damage to my plane (hoed a brewster yesterday with 24 kills... yeah I regret it sometimes). But he was just using that as an excuse to lose so I told him I would upload the video for him.

Are you familiar with the term, front quarter shot?

You must be another who suffers from HOHOHOitis:  i.e. a chronic need to blame other pilots when you die due to your own stupidity.

This product may help you fight the disorder...or at least mask the symptoms so you don't annoy others:

I liked this post a lot (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,366910.msg4888948.html#msg4888948):

After giving it a lot of thought.....I decided to create a quick visual guide concerning the subject of HOing.  I think this guide will be very helpful for new AH pilots...especially those coming here from other simulations!  Hopefully this help ease the pain of transition for these new AH cartoon fighter pilots as they venture into AH's highly complex community culture.

The following slide will be familiar for players from other simulations:

New players take note!  This subject is far more complex here in the cartoon skies of Aces High.  Study the next picture carefully to avoid potential social stigma and ridicule:

Again, I hope this helps you new players out there.  And remember, when you lose....it's always the fault of the other guy!  Thumbs UP!

I didn't call you stupid.

I used the term "stupidity" to describe the decisions you (or others) might make to potentially place yourself in a specific, bad situation  i.e. where you could be "HOed".

Sorry, but I dislike whiners, excuse makers, and sore losers.  When I see someone complain about being HOed or posts that support that person (such as your own "  :rofl " post), I simply see people who can't deal with losing due to their own mistakes and misjdugements.  Period.  It's really that simple.

If I'm "Skyyr's little puppy" in your eyes because he and I agree on this specific topic...so be it.   :lol

He didn't say you were stupid. "You," when used as Fulcrum typed it, is an indefinite pronoun. It is understood to mean an undetermined individual.

I originally planned to express that I used it as a pronoun, but couldn't remember which pronoun subtype it belonged too (e.g. intensive, relative, indefinite, etc.).

You guys are idiots.

As stated, assuming RotBaron suffers from HOHOHOitis, that which is a direct result of dying due to your own stupidity, one must be momentarily or indefinitely stupid to achieve this. Therefore Fulcrum indirectly called him stupid.

Now make an argument about how I didn't call you idiots.  :old:

I was referring to what a few specific indivduals in your squad have stated either during or after duels in the past....and did so in jest.

I wasn't aware that actually came up (in jest or otherwise) during a bout between you and Poison.

The problem here is AoM isn't going to throw out the challenge(They got the "we are the Old Guard" mentality), they are waiting for The Damned to throw it out, and I think the Damned are doing the same thing(But with the mentality of "Let them hit first so the win looks better").....so this might take a minute. I responded to your "shot" at The Damned with a "shot" at AoM...one based on past behavior from other members of your squad.  I probably should have stated "Why bother?  You guys would just claim you were drunk or..." to make that more clear.  Thus why I apologized....I did not mean for the shot to hit so close to home for you personally.

No, I'm just saying that in the end others judgement and treatment of you (in enviornments such as this) typically is the result of your affiliation.  Fulcrum I was not taking a 'shot' at anybody, I simply posted my opinion on RotBarons comment about him being called stupid.  Also, I made the comment "I hate Poison" and I was refering to that, not something posted here. Looking back I don't regret getting that out of my system, but now it seems a bit over the top. You know, I really wasn't trying to get this far into it, but it just seems like everyone is out for blood.  :uhoh

I thought Krupnski and Skyyr were friends??

We are. I've yet to have a poor interaction with him. I was just asking him what he meant because I was hoping there was some joke in there somewhere.

Consider us like Romeo and Juliet, two passionate fighters separated by a few sock puppets.

You are the sock puppets. We were well stitched and purposely crafted for show. I am Hamlet, you are Claudius.  :old:  :D  :bolt:

Thank you Fulcrum for backing up my statement, that is not at all what we look like!

Here is a picture of AoM on an epic fighter sweep back in the day, sometimes there could be quite the crowd.  :old:

What would a AoM / Damned forum exchange be without Junky jumping in to fan flames?  Why, it would be like eating a hot dog without mustard!  :old:

You guys brought it into a Damned vs Anti horde thread. I just responded to Jo's comment.....and I would say I'm probably pretty accurate and unbiased in what I said.

Hey Fulcrum, you remember how I gave you the same crap when you were in AoM as I do now that your in The Damned???

It's crazy, maybe I just dislike your online persona all together...I just don't know what it is :rofl

You play the AoM card too hard bro, half them scrubs hate me (Dedalos probably the most  :D). The other half I enjoy fighting/the bantor/flying with...hell 4 of them used to be Pigs....it's nuts.

I watched the films, it seems like a lot of roping going on.

Have you ever dueled setting a low altitude fight cap?  Makes things a little more interesting than roping a guy, and cutting throttle on your way down for a shot.  What some of you consider a duel, i consider boring, win or lose.

I miss the good old days.... really...

Nice flying though for what you were trying to accomplish i guess.   :salute

And why you would do that? Seriously, why would you ever put an arbitrary altitude cap in a combat sim? This statement alone is the epitome of what Aces High has become: a place where people look for every excuse to validate forcing people to fly the way they want them to. If you have to resort to using handicaps, there's a problem with your flight style, not the guy you're fighting.

By the way, it's very easy to win an e-fight with an altitude cap in place. Actually, it's much easier than roping someone.

How would I be handicapping my opponent?  The rules are the same for both?   Would I be handicapping your ability to climb until your plane stalls, and flop over?  That is too bad I guess?  Doesn't make much sense to me.

If you want to convert some of my films to youtube video's, i think you would find it more "fun" to watch the "game" be played.  Usually because I am the guy on the bottom, watching a pack of your type zoom around above me.

I can also play the way you like Skyyr, I just find it boring.  Let me know if you want to try it out.

Because when an altitude cap is in place, it creates inherent disadvantages when correct/proper ACM is employed (which, ironically, is your reason for wanting to employ it, because proper ACM was used in the showcased fights). Read through Shaw's book and you won't find a single mention of tactics based on altitude caps or the like, because it's a ridiculous concept imagined by gamers.

I can also play the way you like Skyyr, I just find it boring.  Let me know if you want to try it out.

And I've fought you, several times, when you tried it in your 109K-4. There's more to E-fighting than the BnZ you seem to imply, nor is it as easy as people try to make it seem. One of the easiest kills in-game is someone who thinks E-fighting is only about going up and down and staying fast.

If that's a DA challenge, hit me up in-game (or give me a time you'd like me to show up). We can go.

The altitude cap is usually in reference to the altitude of the first merge, not a limit on how high the dueling parties can go for the entire fight.

This is what it used to be foremost and what made AH different from the rest.... the newer style (old style just more prevalent) of play is what it has become....almost to the point of it being just another combat sim....

All the Unwritten rule blah blah that was talked about is what AH for many used to be the norm...and the other combat, win at all cost style was for other games....Yes there were those who were/are...but they were a minority (IMO)There is always a time to take a base...it has now changed and they are now the norm.....so we are at just another combat sim....which is sad really (once again IMO)

And as AckAck said...altitude cap is for the merge only...

But then... when the toejame hits the fan for a community member the spirit is alive and well....which means it isn't all bad news

Hey this is Rud3boi, my BB name is different from my In Game ID. Sawzaw is one Stubborn pilot. Every fight we had I would own him and he would just cry on 200. He can't accept loosing to my F4u-1 in his uber climb-mo-biles 109's even when he tried to BnZ me to death. The dude need to relax on language and learn to accept being killed.
