This thing needs to be perked.
-
K I'm pretty sure it's a gv but what is it exactly?

I drive the thing a lot. Not going to lie, it's pretty OP.
-
It is a beast, I'd rather see a Firefly up then one of those little monsters

Lost a Firefly to one of these he just drove right up to me & fired when he was ready.
I hit it 3-4 times near point blank nothing.

Shoot them in the sides, top or rear and they go down as simple as any other. You just can't trade frontal shots with them. Isn't one of the versions already perked?

There is only one Hetzer, just as there historically was.

HE-AT

All of the tank destroyers have a weakness on their front armor. The front armor slopes upward except for a small section that slopes under the tank at the bottom. If you can get a round to land there it's almost a guaranteed kill, regardless of range. This weakness also exists on the KT and the Panther.

yep! What he said!!
Hit it below the seam on the front plate and it'll pop every time, or shoot it in the sides!
It's strong point is the upper plate on front

You weren't using HE by accident?
That being said, last time I dealt with a Hetzer, I was in the JagdPanther. So yeah, no problem. :D

East kill from aircraft so no perky ride. :ahand

But the same can be said for a Firefly...only difference is the hetzer presents a smaller target and from my experience takes a lot more hits.
The only advantage is the gun for the Firefly

Noted on the terminology. I will be more specific-Isn't one of those slopey front tanks perked already? :D

Now you talking my tank. The firefly is as weak as any M-4 variant on the front slope, sides, rear and top. The thickest armor actually is in the turret front. With that said, I would never trade shots with:
A) Any tank with a similar power/range of gun(Panther, Tiger, T-34/85, Etc.)
B) Any tank that has superior frontal armor to the Firefly.
This tank is meant for ambush or long range kills. Slug-fests are not its strong suit.

Yes, but that are entirely different vehicles. Different chassis, guns, everything.
The Jagdpanzer 38(t) "Hetzer" was based on the Pz 38(t) chassis (essentially a Czech pre war tank) with the 75mm gun we know from the Panzer IV lightly armored, but very tiny and heavily sloped
The perked Jagdpanzer IV/70 was pased on the Panzer IV, mated with the Panther's KwK.
The perked Jagdpanther was based on the Panther tank and carried ther same 88mm gun the King Tiger featured.
The only thing those three vehicles have in common is the basic concept.

Two of them are perked already. Any idea of usage of the Hetzer, it's K/D, etc. vs other armor Lusche?

Thank you Sir. The Hetzer is used alot and it had the highest K/D for.non-perked tanks.

almost as much as the Panzer IV. Wow.
Not at all. :headscratch:
The Panzer IV H alone has over four times as many tank vs tank kills and deaths.

See my edit. Lol did not see the lonely Panzer IV all the way at top of screen. Darn small phone screens. Ty again Lusche.

M18 is an easier kill from aircraft and its perked... :headscratch:

The real kicker is the M4/76 is perked.

Me and Hooter did a test on this years ago, with film and sent it in; apparently nothing was wrong to be "Wrong" even though an M4 can penetrate the lower plates of a Panther at 1500+ yards. It was rather annoying if you knew how to exploit it; I honestly never did however hooter did; and we quickly stopped using the Panther because it was easy to penetrate from the front.
