Stress does affect your body. I don't know what's going on in your life, but there's an old saying I love:
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, The courage to change the things I can, And the wisdom to know the difference.

stress will break a person down, I have a friend that just quit his job because the stress was affecting his heart, since he quit 4 months ago he hasnt had any more problems. I went through a stressful time, had headaches a lot, couldnt eat, couldnt sleep, its quite bad for a body to be over stressed. good luck hope you are well :salute

If you're taking any kind of supplements or drinking energy drinks, you probably ought to stop that until you feel normal. Guarana makes me feel like crap and there are other things in those drinks/supplements that mess with your head. If you must have caffeine just switch to coffee or mountain dew or something lower key for a while and see if that helps. It takes over a week for guarana to make its way out of my system.

Hang strong, Peanut! I wondered why you logged after our fight in the MA yesterday. Now,knowing that you haven't been well, I understand. Get yourself fixed, and come back for revenge.=S=

Try to clear your head of the BS of life. If you can take a walk in a park or woods at early morning. Breath deep and slowly enjoy the day that is given you.

The woods are my church. Go walking in the woods to sooth and mellow the soul.

Aiming too high and trying to please people who might have influence in your career. That's one of the fastest ways to an early grave. Be merciful to yourself, give yourself some slack, aim lower. "Good" is usually enough, "perfect" is only needed when human lives rely on that. It's similar to using WEP, giving a temporary boost at the cost of shortening engine life.
Remember, you're not irreplaceable unless you can dip your finger into water so that a hole remains. So do your job only well enough to keep it. As a friend used to say about those trying to strain him, "They dare not kill me, nor can they get me pregnant!" Of course it's a naive joke, but there's true wisdom in it.
Get some time to empty your mind. It's often easier somewhere where you can feel your littleness compared to the creation. The woods is a good choice, or a lake or the prairie. Or a fireplace, watching the fire start, flame and die down is very tranquilizing. It has been proven to work even on a video, so here you go. Fullscreen, if you please:

:salute you are not alone with stress, as far as work goes, try not to take work home and dont take home to work. I have found that a good stress relief is a sledge hammer, I go out in the garage and beat a huge chunk of wood into submission, afterwards, I am too tired to care about much and I really beat the snot out of it, so anger issues get worked out as well :devil. In all seriousness though, hope the girlfriend is better :pray, the c-word really sucks, my mom is going through round 2 with it :pray.

Spot on, Homer! Hard physical work is very good in balancing any other type of work. Lumbering, chopping firewoods, digging, shoveling snow... Anything you must concentrate into enough to avoid injuring yourself. I prefer organic jobs such as those mentioned, but I've learned some people reach the same state of brain resetting by off road motorcycling/snowmobiling. Of course it works the other way around, too. A truck driver may like miniature building or making lace (actually that was a very popular side job for our south-west coast sailors during the sailing ships era!). Playing AH is good, too.
Another warning: A true perfectionist may even try to be the best in suffering and stressing and being sick!
