I can't get the game to auto update and the patch link gives me a "not found" on both betas. The full install does start to download though.

Updated from the link, no problem. 

The clipboard no longer moves in a 2D plane, it just rotates around the point of view. Last title graphic before arena loads shows as a curve instead of flat. This is in both DX9 and DX11. 

Edit: The clipboard is looking like a new feature not a bug. Instead of stuck on the monitor you can now move it and leave it in a little used view like forward down or side down.

Edit2: looks like Force Fixed Sphere is the culprit. When I tried to uncheck it I locked up.

no DX-11 update, if trying to start DX11 version, will not get passed the selection screen for online connection.

DX-11 has the option to choose your monitor, which of course I chose the primary 4k monitor (monitor 1). When I exited online the game came up on monitor 2 and gave me the option to exit the game entirely.

I know you have not started on optimizing shadows yet, but the shadows are causing a significant period of freeze-up when you turn them on/off on DX-11.

Unable to make clipboard large enough in startup screen or in game. I can increase or decrease the size but it seems there's a built in stop now that won't let me increase past about 5/8 of vertical screen size of desktop (or window). Windows 8.1 Pro x64

Remove the "gui.cfg" file from the Beta "settings" folder.

DX 11  seems to run normal for me. The only difference I see is I had more than double the fame rates in version 19. Version 20 my fps seem about the same as DX9(version 20). The trees appear crisper and sharper in detail with DX11.
In version 19 the DX11 had fps between 50 and 110.

Win7
Video card is an AMD R9 290x with 4 GB of ram
fps with v sinc off run 40 to 50 fps gv'ing anywhere, both versions DX9 and DX11 (ver 20)


I did not experience any problems with update.

Ran Updater Beta 19 to Beta 20 w\o a hitch.

Tried to start Dx 11 version...got the same error message as last time....can't start due to 3D3COMPLIER_43.dll is missing.

Same result for me.  Screen is like you are looking out of a bowl.  Clear, but like some weird panoramic view.  Could not exit when cursor was placed over exit.

Tried text buffer but could not write anything in it. Even when clicking in text buffer no flashing line appeared to start letters.


Deleted gui.cfg file.  All appears well.

Booted into DX11 and fishbowl. Closed down and deleted gui.cfg. Tried DX11 again and crash to desktop after I select the main room. Did this several times. Go to DX9 and it runs fine. Go back to DX11 and select the arena... crash to desktop. GTX 970 FTW

I might add that I run Windows 10 Pro.

Does not seem to display to my Rfit (DK2). I start the DX11 version, it appears to start the Oculus utility and prompts for the t&c agreement, when I try to go into offline mode the Oculus hourglass appears but the game only renders to my monitor. There appears to be no head tracking.

Driver version is 1.4. Other Oculus store apps work fine, and Elite Dangerous does as well.

Updated fine but crashes to desktop each time you select an arena in on-line play, or when practice play is selected. As stated in other thread, DX9 works perfectly.

Is your Unknown Sources enabled in the Oculus Settings/general?

As an update to my previous post in the Oculus thread, I unplugged my Vive to see if it was causing my double vision. It was not the double vision is still there. I did notice that the double vision only applies to some parts of the image. For example sitting in the aircraft, the plane and clipboard and some txt (like auto takeoff enabled) but the outside world like buildings or radar tower do not appear to be doubled or if they are, I can't tell it.

Currious if previously you ran any 3rd party code to simulate VR with aces high? If you did is it possible those are still launching with AH?

Possibly vsync setting?

No 3rd party VR code running per task manager.

 I could not find a vsynch setting in AH but the Nvidia control panel setting is "use the app setting" so it is set to what ever the default is for AH?

I do have two gtx980 cards installed but sli is turned off?

Game update path failed on the typical skinviewer false positive.  I completely disabled Avira prior to attempting the update.  I then downloaded the full update and tried again with no issues to report.  FLS's heads up on the graphics adjustments were very helpful.

DX11 looks terrific.  No issues to report after about an hour of flying a Spit IX around.  I was looking at ~130fps with all graphics on max except 'Updates' (set to third-highest position).

One highlight.  In a 1 v 1 with Sunny1's Corsair and normal dogfight distances from 200 to 1K ranges, I had great visibility of his aircraft and I could easily see what he was doing and never had to guess.  I think that is significant.  We had a great fight with three merges.

Updating to DX11 gave me the same AHSkiew error as others.  It'll still launch.

When it does, only tried offline mode so far, but I get very screwy looking graphics, like it's in some sort of VR mode, the FPS meter is up in the sky looking up and all warped, and the text boxes and clipboard are warped and oddly shaped  as well.  Is this just a setting I missed?

This happens with both Dx9 and DX11 launch exes.  Even when loading the program the title screen is very warped and takes up only half the screen.  Tried the delete gui.cfg...no dice.

I have no VR sets or software installed, no anti virus either on this system, just AH and trackIR.

I'll try reinstalling the whole thing again.  I'm noticing a pattern with this system, every update, I end up having to bag the update patch and just re download the whole program, and then it runs fine.  Probably something in this machine, although it's a clean install with just AH/TiR on it, still behaves oddly sometimes.

Tried DX11 version AH start screen came up but when I select either online or offline, the screen clears and nothing happens.  Using W10.

Did a cold start and same thing happened.

DX9 version ran just fine.

Reinstalled entire beta - delted gui.cfg, fishbowl problem gone now, works with both Dx9/Dx11.  FPS improvement noted in DX11 so far.

UPDATE: Tried to get into DX11, successful. Terrain looks better, frame rates lower by average of 15-20. Still have issue with frame rates hitting 30 when flying low over large enemy bases, then when fly away from them, the frame rates increase to 120+.

Thanks to FLS I found the vsynch setting and disabled it with no change. Someone else sent me a message that they have a cv1 with the same problem so don't think it is my setup? To be clear on the problem, you can close either eye and the image is fine but when you open both eyes the images do not overlap as they should.

dx11 crashes upon trying to enter any arena.  no problems with dx9.  I cang find a gui.cfg in the settings folder.

I tried offline practice and back in the the dx11 arena and I have no problems now.  rebooted and I can only go in if I enter the practice arena first.

DX11 and DX9 both seem to work.

Can't enlarge the clipboard past a certain point.  Deleted gui.cfg, no change to that behavior.

Changing the size of the clip board seems to be available every other time I open either version of the game. I'm betting Hitech already has an answer for this phenomenon.

I was one driver revision behind on my video card.  Did the update but DX11 still failed to start after selecting the arena.  DX9 still runs fine.
