If you installed patch 22, there is no way you cannot see it.  Here is a picture of it.

Sound issues, duplicated and fixed.  The missing and clipped sounds were due to the percentage of volume.

For bombers, I found that any "your engine" sound less than 45% entirely disables the engine sound.

For GVs, I did not test the "your engine" sound less than 45%, but at that volume it works properly also.

For the flaps sound, I found that any "actuators" sound less than 9% was clipped, and works properly at the higher volume and above.  Edit:  I have since noticed one occurrence of the clipped flap sound since volume increased to 9%.... possibly a higher volume setting is more stable.

Sunny1 suggested that I ditch my beautiful Ki61 over town and take a look at the debris.  I was glad I did.  He noted that running into debris had physical effect on vehicles......  THIS IS WAY MORE THAN EVEN I WAS EXPECTING.....  :x

Do I need to run the "Windows6.1-KB2670838-x64.msu" in order to run the DX-11 version?

I'm still getting the d3dx11_43.dll error.

Easyscor,

I was told not to fix this....  That was 3 patches ago....

This is a good question, folks like Easyscor are not able to bug test DX11.  Folks like me who added the offending dll file are able to bug test DX11 (and of course enjoy all of its bonuses).

I can definitely see there would be no way to see if a patch cured the error if we all updated our dll, but a kind word or two, would help those of us who were patient to remain in the DX11 crash state.

Simply stated, informing testers that a patch is in the works "shortly" to eliminate any need for manual dll repair and appreciate the patience needed to refrain from manual fixes.  If not then a sticky post on recommended sites or appropriate action to solve the issue.  I am mostly encouraged by what I have seen so far so I am banking heavily on the first option.

Online mode works.  :aok

In offline mode, at random times while in tower or in flight, app switches status to background process - must use task manager to get mouse cursor back and shut down.

There is no app crash event data recorded by windows, however the video driver crashes and records a system event (same data for all occurrences).

Screenshots don't work in DX11 for me. They do work for DX9 version.

In the online arena Greebo'sMA, there's an odd body of water next to field A2. It has striations like you would see if you flew too far off the map. Screenies made in DX9 attached, it looks the same in DX11.

Ran Updater Patch Beta 21 to 22 w\o a hitch.

Both versions opened online and offline w\o a hitch.

Beta 22 Dx11 version FPS is a lot slower than Beta 21 DX11 version (22 @ 44 FPS on runway, 53 FPS in flight both w\ stutters, 21 @ 80 FPS on runway, 80 FPS in flight both smooth)

Beta 22 Dx9 version FPS is the same as Beta 21 Dx9 version (both 21 and 22 Patches @ 71 FPS on runway, 80 FPS in flight both smooth)

Will continue testing.................

As in the previous two posts - ran updater with no problems - both versions running perfectly online and offline. Same graphic issue with terrain next to A2 - not seen elsewhere - and similar reduction in frame rate as described in previous post.

Shadows now seem much smoother :)

A1 for Bishops also has the water displayed over what should be solid terrain.  I too noticed very smooth looking cockpit shadows (DX11 beta).  :aok

Will you try taking a screen shot in dx11 version at the AH entry screen?

Skuzzy sent me reminder that AMD sound driver could cause system stability problems. So disabled it in device manager and rebooted pc, then ran beta dx11 offline.

Unfortunately it still crashes the video driver with same system event error data.

You guys may not have seen the weather news lately.  Most of Texas is underwater.  What you are seeing is the 'real-time - all-terrain - dynamic weather effects package' found in AH3 Beta.  When it stops raining here, all will be well.   :bolt:

A few other graphical anomalies at A65 - surrounded by water and each runway has trees growing through it - clearly rapid growth brought on by the previously mentioned Texas floods :)

Good stuff :)

After a clean install of Beta 22 on my laptop.

I hadn't gotten past the previous dll report but wanted to try the dx11 version on my Win8.1 laptop/tablet thinking it might have the dll previously reported as missing. The tablet reports...

D3DCOMPILER_43.dll is missing from your computer.

This same error happened in an older dx9 version so I copied the compiler dll from my Win7 machine into the Win8 machine.

The dx9 version works (I didn't try it earlier) but now the dx11 version throws a new error...

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b)

So is this a new ki skin? Or a new variant?
And I crashed my plane and didn't see wreckage or a crater.
Just a fireball

Updated fine from patch 19, all three updates.

CraterMA, 109 G-6 still getting smoke in the cabin during start. Most likely all of the planes where feet can be stuck under the gauge panel suffer from the same issue.
Further in the G-6 I noticed a block between the pedals. Most likely it's where it should be, but my concern is where the light comes from. To me it looks like there's a hole outside the window pane. See image.

While strafing V148 toggling zoom caused the game to pause for a split second. Not every time, but often enough not to be coincidental.

At V148 (enemy field to me) I tried to sneak into the bunker. The lawn should be mowed. Other than that I couldn't walk in much further than what the image shows. Of course there was the sign, and being an enemy I most likely wasn't authorized. Anyhow, right after stepping inside I found myself elevated on the roof where I could walk about half the length of the bunker just as if there was a wall restricting me like I would be inside.
