HTC you please add an option into the next patch where you can check how the original layout of the map began. For example when a country takes a field it turns into their chess piece and you don't really know what the original chess piece were. I'm just asking this because at almost the end of a map win; for example: Knights Own 87% of their fields and they own 20% of Bish and Rooks it will be helpful to see the original layout of how it began so you can know what Knight base you need to take back. TY :salute

That would be easily done by adding original borderlines into the map.

You can do this yourself if you like.
Load the terrain you want to map offline.
Max the clipboard in the tower.
Zoom in to the detail level you want. Take a screenshot.
Move the map to copy all of it. Minimum probably 4 pictures.
Cut the maps out of the clipboard in Paint and put them together as one map.

FLS, after each reset the chess pieces are switched around so it is not the same layout all the time. The only possible way I can think is take a screen shot when the new map comes up. But Not everyone is logged in when the new map comes up......so yea just add an option in the game to view the original layout of the fields.

The map will always start with the same layout. Who owns the base to begin with doesn't matter.
Edit:
For example, Grinder will always start with this layout. Yes the countries may be swapped around, but the layout remains the same.

What you want to know is how Country-1, Country-2, Country-3 was laid out by the terrain builder in the terrain editor. The first field he chooses to tag as A1 will be bishops and he can choose where he starts it. Offline if you pull up the clipboard map it will show you the original terrain builder layout of the three countries. And yes each time the terrain comes up in rotation online the countries are randomly rotated. That does not change the borders laid out by the terrain builder in the terrain editor. Offline you will see those borders.
Interesting wish, Waffle or one of the terrain building team could be asked to open each terrain in the terrain editor. Then make a map with icons and grid lines enabled. It would produce a clipboard map file with field icons in the three colors used for the three countries in the terrain editor. From there I don't know what would be the best way to make it available to players. But, by the difference in colored icons you would see what the borders of the countries are.

It's a good wish, my suggestion was just in case you didn't want to wait. :aok

I think you can check the field status of a base next to your own country's HQ. Whatever zone number (1, 2 or 3), is your country number. I don't think those zone numbers change when another country takes your base, which tells you that an enemy base in question was actually your country's base to begin with. I'm not completely sure this is true, but that is what I have done.

Btw if you have only what to know about a specific field, you can find the original field in Options/Arena Setup/Fields
